Been thinking more about this. It’s completely unacceptable from the Trust.

It is completely unacceptable from the Trust it clearly isn’t Democratic.
I’m a member and the first I heard was when they’d already started a gofundme collection, then they’ve donated £500 from Trust funds.Edit : they’ve donated £500 in the name of the trust, I don’t know where the money came from.

It really boils my piss, the way the Trust has behaved. I’ve completely lost faith in it over this. You’d think with a well-known Union bloke in the mix, at the moment, there’d be some self-awareness about the importance of taking this particular (and particularly emotional) issue to the membership. It’s an absolute disgrace.

From the Go Fund Me appeal:
“A supporters trust is a democratic not-for-profit organisation of supporters, committed to strengthening the decision-making process at a club.”
Perhaps the trust needs to review their own decision making abilities?
Very few donations in the last 24 hours – it looks as if it’s hit the buffers.
The objective of the Trust is to purchase shares.
A mere £12,000 of shares held.
Yet, they’ve given “thousands” to local charities.That doesn’t sit right.
Money – Shares – Nothing else!
Otherwise it’s pointless!
They’ve stopped answering on social media and not responded to anybody who contacted via email. I am told.Please note I could have been told wrong but it’s a poor show and pretty Infantinoesque

And yet people had misgivings when the unity group gave money to the away travel (ya know fans of the club) and kids parties.

I have no issue with what the Trust does and has done in terms of charitable donations and associated fund-raising.
Me neither,this is where the issue lies with the current situation,where is the line drawn? Is it drawn where we think it’s tacky for instance.I am not giving up on the trust but at the moment it feels Top Down and not member driven.

I would be interested to know how many members were asked about building a statue / now down graded to a memorial prior to the go fund me was started.
I have been a member since the beginning and I certainly was not asked my opinion.
I have also asked several questions to the Trust and received no answers infact been made to feel by the replies I have got that I am the only person to be complaining about what’s happened.
The Trust seems to be top down organisation with the Members not being involved in any decisions on major issues.
I joined the a trust to buy shares to give fans hopefully a voice in the Club not build statues that I and other Members apart from I presume the Committee knew nothing about.2 users thanked author for this post.
