All ifs and buts IMO if he’d played two up top we’d have won in normal time but you can’t argue the point his squad selection on the day was abject in a must win game.
Chuffed for Hungary they hopefully will come out of that 16 year dark shadow. Apparently Trump thinks he’s Jesus after posting an AI image of himself on social media healing a sick man whilst bathed in a golden light wearing biblical robes. He later took it down claiming he was making out he was a doctor, complete fruit cake/ bellend.
Step away from the keyboard Steve, talk to someone or get help
Insert every other name on this message board instead of Steve.
You certainly need something inserting somewhere that’s a fact 😂😂😂
Nowt to do with one penalty miss, his squad selection on the day was pathetic going with an extra keeper on the bench instead of another outfield player ( remember we had Boycey as stand in keeper if needed ) then playing one up top in a semi final at home he had to win in front of a huge crowd. JD bottled it he couldn’t make the correct decision because he couldn’t handle the pressure of the occasion, as I said the job was too big for him he had small club mentality.
Quite right, the Board identified quickly that he was out of his depth at Scunthorpe.
It was this current board that sacked Jimmy after achieving 2nd place have you forgot.
Correct cass much like the man who appointed him.
Jimmy should never have been appointed in the first place IMO, your buddy Hilton was responsible for that Awaywego, we are too big a club for little itchy and scratchy to manage, the new board after Hilton made the right choice booting him out.

Managers being sacked for being in a similar position to where we are now is down to the mindset, arrogant or otherwise of the current board or owner at the time so the manager doing his job well really has his hands tied. This current board don’t have a mindset like previous boards or other owners who wanted things their own way all the time, sometimes very unreasonably in the opinion of others.
Yes as far as managing the team goes you can’t really fault AB that much, we all have options about how the team should set up and play and when subs should be used but he’s the guy who has got us to 5th in the National League after promotion last season on a £900,000 budget. When you consider York are top with a £4,500,000 budget it puts it all in perspective.
As I recall, yes. Not from me mind. Not a convincing performance yesterday tbh. Shaky. Hopefully improves.
The Brackley manager seems to think they were the better side
He also said missing chances has been the story of their season and better sides don’t do that too often, plus I don’t recall them missing many chances yesterday, it was a poor wind affected game that was won by a piece of class from a player who funnily enough was on the better side.
Poor game and the windy conditions didn’t help, highlight that classic Roberts free kick, lowlight some strange refereeing decisions but it’s a win which keeps us 5th and a home tie in the first playoff game just got a little nearer. Don’t think we are good enough to go up but you never know how the playoffs will go so fingers 🤞
Not many managers apologise, it’s the arrogance that helped make them good enough to be a professional footballer in the first place, just say you disagree, point out your reasons for saying it and move on, managers don’t really care what fans think anyway when it comes to team selection and most football matters, it’s just how it is.
Sorry NI, hell I’m depressed now 😂
If we need someone to cover full back knowing our defensive frailties then Scales with his enthusiastic energy is a good call, we made need extra legs mid second half in a playoff game.
Craig you need to be on the football forum, this side is clearly marked Non Football.
Easily said but mouthy fans are best ignored and AB being a professional should know that, hope it’s sorted soon.

Dave is back !! .. lined up to be chief scout for season 26 27 according to my sauces !!
Sweet and sour or something spicier 🤔
We were vulnerable before Nicholson moved on. He was having howlers.
Looked like a pub player.
Reckon he wandered out of the pub legless, wandered into the tattooist’s and woke up three days later to be presented with a £10,000 bill. Rod Steigers illustrated man got nothing on him😳

Didn’t the cods win the playoffs after finishing seventh? We all would love to enter the playoffs in something like decent form but they are virtually one off cup games and we all know form goes out the window in plenty of of those games.

He’s arrogant (nothing wrong with that) stubborn plenty wrong with that, and is bloody clueless a lot of the time.
Were you looking in a mirror Awaywego when you wrote this paragraph 🤔
They could at least pretend to give a dam when we concede, every week it’s just a dispirited trudge back when we conceded. I’ve eaten cucumber with more character than these clowns
Put that cucumber in some bread with some cheese and it’s quite a tasty sandwich
That was painful to watch, even on TV, be a long ride home for the fans
It’s a longer ride coming back from Wembley when you’ve lost.
Yeah on reflection they should sack Butler and put the entire squad on the transfer list, bloody rubbish Iron bring back Hilton.

You guys are so funny I’m loving your fake frustration
Finishing 4th or 5th is no big deal, we are in the playoffs and anyway we have a good away record this season, chill out enjoy the ride, you’d have all settled for mid table before a ball was kicked this season, the team and management have done a brilliant job after promotion IMO.
Fully behind the starting eleven, mix and match, rest some guys give some others chance to shine in different positions particularly up top. Could prove useful going into the playoffs with more options, strong bench still if we need to rejig things later on.
I guess that’s the Dec syndrome, if you bring him on to play as a two up top with Whitehall then it’s fair to assume one of your midfield will go off but the two wide men remain. Well Roberts and Jones were the wide men second half so it was either Alfie or Olly who were going to be pulled, not an easy choice and Alfie had been doing alright IMO also. Westbrook was running the game and it would have been daft to take him off.
Hartlepool just came to defend, that must be the deepest a team has played at the AA this season, they were dull and uninspiring but they grabbed a point which after a 7-0 thumping last time out will definitely suit them. It would have been a travesty if they had pinched all three points at the death because they did not deserve to IMO. To qualify for the playoffs with four games left is a wonderful achievement by AB and his players after promotion last season so that is the positive we take tonight from this game but like cass says we should be shooting more instead of trying to walk the ball into the net.

Dave’s been triggered enough Rene don’t set her off again.
Wonder if the astronauts still eat Cadburys Smash on board as was advertised in the 70’s?

Or if you nod along dumbly with everything the club utters it could be Dopey Dave 🤷🏻♂️
