Finishing 4th or 5th is no big deal, we are in the playoffs and anyway we have a good away record this season, chill out enjoy the ride, you’d have all settled for mid table before a ball was kicked this season, the team and management have done a brilliant job after promotion IMO.
Fully behind the starting eleven, mix and match, rest some guys give some others chance to shine in different positions particularly up top. Could prove useful going into the playoffs with more options, strong bench still if we need to rejig things later on.
I guess that’s the Dec syndrome, if you bring him on to play as a two up top with Whitehall then it’s fair to assume one of your midfield will go off but the two wide men remain. Well Roberts and Jones were the wide men second half so it was either Alfie or Olly who were going to be pulled, not an easy choice and Alfie had been doing alright IMO also. Westbrook was running the game and it would have been daft to take him off.
Hartlepool just came to defend, that must be the deepest a team has played at the AA this season, they were dull and uninspiring but they grabbed a point which after a 7-0 thumping last time out will definitely suit them. It would have been a travesty if they had pinched all three points at the death because they did not deserve to IMO. To qualify for the playoffs with four games left is a wonderful achievement by AB and his players after promotion last season so that is the positive we take tonight from this game but like cass says we should be shooting more instead of trying to walk the ball into the net.

Dave’s been triggered enough Rene don’t set her off again.
Wonder if the astronauts still eat Cadburys Smash on board as was advertised in the 70’s?

Or if you nod along dumbly with everything the club utters it could be Dopey Dave 🤷🏻♂️
Interesting that you register on this particular day and have appeared from thin air, good luck.
If it blows up it will be the UK’s or NATO’s fault.
Current manager is a mate of AB’s and a former Iron player but he will be under a bit of scrutiny after last nights result, just one of those games maybe, it happens.

Monkey hangers mullered, bring on Friday 😃
Very helpful analysis. So, it points to the need to get additional investors?
Which is what the majority on here having being saying for a long time and that is down to the board not the fans who do plenty as it is and its the boards responsibility to find new investors pronto.
Reckon that last line applies to us all in the last quater Awaywego 😂

T’was a song being sung at the end of the game which the club posted a video of. “He’s f*cking quick, got a massive d*ck, Jean Belahouan.”
Absolutely briiliant whomever invented it
I heard it was someone called Jean Beulahouan 😂
Always thought a club like ours was too big a project for a bloke like Hilton bit like the manager he set on, maybe the Matlocks of this world are just about his bag.
I think the question about the supposed fighting at Truro between two Iron fans is a fair one that needs to be answered. The other point about alleged affairs is immaterial and an entirely personal matter but fighting at home or away games is contrary to the club’s policy on spectator behaviour and surely if this accusation is true both supporters should be banned by the club from attending fixtures both home and away. We know how keen the club are on rules regarding spectator behaviour.
On Scunthorpe Facebook page MK.
Must be true then 😂😂😂

And you was doing so well ironironiron until you mentioned Hilton.
Just look at the revenue streams he’s brought and trying to bring in at Matlock. And we have a begging bowl and very little else, well ok a wreath making workshop and a medium night.
Not sure what Hilton is doing now at Matlock is relevant to what he did when he owned us TBH.

Well AB gave it a go again Saturday ( he has occasionally used 4-4-2 at times this season, mainly mid game ) both Whitehall and Dec have goals in them so why not start games with that system, it might just bear fruit and fire us to playoff promotion.

The matchday atmosphere at GP has never been as consistently “up” as it has been in the last two seasons – due in no small part to the drummer and his mates. Leave them alone, they’re doing a cracking job. If you don’t like it put earplugs in.
It was like being sat in a morgue, in the main stand back in the old days.
Well it was full mainly off the walking dead back then, much like the Jason Threadgold stand now where I happily have a seat 😂

Ah well, it is what it is. I am what I am.
Worked for Gloria Gaynor Rene just carry on as before FFS and remember life’s a bitch and then you die.
I reckon it’s the ghost of Tennyson more then the drummer.

Another great away win for the Iron, chuffed for Dec and well done AB for changing the shape of the team second half and trying to win the game instead of settling for a point. We did not need to win today just not lose but the win is excellent and the Iron faithful will journey back happy tonight 👏👏👏

Chuffed for Dec Howe now can we see the game through for the three points 🤞
According to the BBC website Dec isn’t even in the squad!!
No he is look again he is named amongst the subs.

March 26, 2026 at 11:56 pm in reply to: Howe Can We Not Integrate A Proven Goalscorer In To Our Team? #318405Thought Whitehall had a good game last night, won a lot of headers up top and generally gave their back line plenty to think about, subbed at the right time to freshen things up and his lack of full fitness is hardly anything new, he’s not been completely right fitness wise for a long time now but he can still be effective in the game time he gets.
