They’ve already begun advertising on a split screen during several sports including rugby and cricket, it’s just the moneybags mindset surrounding all sports really. Football turned into greedy bastards the day the Premier League was formed, it’s been increasing prices and fleecing fans ever since, it’s the money that’s important nowadays the football is secondary.

‘Cooler washes mean bacteria in the shirts aren’t killed, and reactivate within an hour of putting it on’

Sounding like an OMO advert. One for the older Brusters.

OMO and Oxydol two classic sixties soap powders and don’t forget Brillo Pads.

John Staff was a giant as regards Scunthorpe United, PD is more a Borrower by comparison.

The link with British Steel needs nurturing, now it’s been nationalised maybe we could squeeze a five year deal out of them next time.

£750k Grant is fantastic news !
£250 k will be harder to find.

True but it’s easier to find then £750 k, it’s a good financial deal for the club for a pitch with a ten year guarantee , as many have already said the club needs a financial restructure because going cap in hand to fans time after time is wearing thin and will ultimately weaken support IMO.

“Club won’t stand in any players way.”

    Oh dear.
Where have we heard THAT excuse before?

It’s also a way of saying “ we can’t afford to keep him if he’s offered money we can’t afford “, which TBF is usually the reason they leave.

Do we have to repay any of the £750 k or is it just the additional £250 k the Club have to find ?

    It’s a £750 k grant not a loan, you don’t repay a grant we just need to find £250 k.

And it does, actually better than the video reader I managed to install.
    Thanks IA.

Actually alcy if you read the link DM posted about QR codes the article specifically says not to trust a downloaded QR app reader from an AppStore and always go with your phone reader through your phone’s camera, sounds good advice to me.

Yep can’t disagree about your view on the tournament Awaywego, I will be more interested in who the Iron sign then watching the World Cup games, football sold out a long time ago and the greed of FIFA regarding this current tournament proves it even more.

Actually CMC Winterton is now part of the Scunthorpe constituency since the last election, I believe Dakin has expressed he is an Iron follower but how many games he actually attends is another matter, so I’m guessing the link between him and said fan is there.

Not sure where the CODs are getting information about our ticket sales from as we cannot find out ourselves about them, probably more close season bullshit I’m guessing, who knows who cares what codheads think anyway.

Can’t really blame Trump for the USA holding the tournament it was awarded in 2018, now you can blame the swiss wop who sucks up to all and sundry. (Trump was president when t was given)
The equivalent to our Positive Dave giving away his little trinkets and taking every opportunity to have his photo shoot.

Mmm and the other points a I made about legitimate officials banned and fans who have already paid and are coming over to support their country being banned from the USA by the Trump administration, you are fine with all that I suppose. These are legitimate football fans who you always purport to support every other time?

Probably as I was unimpressed by their corrupt phone call in trying to scam me, seems like we agreed never to bother each other again, absolutely marvellous.

    Came across another today.
Signing up for a shop loyalty card.
    HOW MANY layers of security???
Had to verify I was human three times, chose a password, (usual cr@p), have it verified by my email address.
Have that verified by a code sent to my email and another to my phone…
    WHY????

Cyber security – To protect you from online fraud and hackers?

The ones I love a telephone attempted hackers.
My record is keeping one on the line for 25 minutes when he claimed to be Microsoft, and my computer had apparently been hacked.
He finally hung up when he asked me to go to my phone and look at my Apps.
I asked what an aps was.

They don’t ring anymore alcy, I used to ask them if they could sing and when they queried “ excuse me” I would say “ hears a good one from the sixties “ and begin to sing Mr Tambourine Man down the line, half way through the second verse they had hung up.

It should never have gone to the USA with it’s current incumbent as president, it’s already a political minefield with perfectly legitimate officials with all the correct paperwork in place being banned because they come from a country Trump has targeted. This World Cup will be all about him as more bullshit rules and regs emerge, don’t give a monkeys who wins the tournament its ruined already IMO with over priced tickets and fans who have already paid banned from entering this ridiculous country, dangerous and pathetic from FIFA to suck up to this criminal corrupt politician.

Well a certain person has got an award from Scunthorpe’s MP, I didn’t know Winterton was part of the same constituency.

What’s the award and I presume you are referring to SM?

If you all recall this was discussed quite a bit when WHAM was running away and leaving us in the brown stuff, in fact several posters highlighted the fact that even though a rescue package was being formed with Michelle and her fellow board members the future years ahead would most likely be spent in non league due to lack of major finance. If the playing budget isn’t bigger by a reasonable amount than last season’s £900,000 then I think we know what will be happening next season and it’s probably going to be consolidation in the National League, such is life.
