Hardly two faced – the people moaning about the ban would be the first to moan if their daughter went to work and was abused.
As it is that bits been largely swept under the carpet by some on here.
The first post, instantly framing the bloke as an OAP, with others piling is just AB anti bias oozing out yet again.
Quickly followed by anti drum, anti FB, anti non Iron Trust.
It’s frankly pathetic.
Agree with most of this. Seems a more unbiased and adult take, particularly the opening point.
The whole situation is being blown out of proportion in my opinion. Someone gets told off by a steward for shouting abuse at Butler. One rightly gets thrown out for abusing a steward. Butler mouths ‘f off’ (not ‘out of the ground’ as BLT has claimed) and people are up in arms about it). Relatives follow the ejected out the ground. The ejected person is banned. Apart from the last bit, which seems harsh, no one would bat an eyelid had it happened around them in the Mortz. If it was such a big deal at the time to others, why didn’t anyone intervene? Anyhow, that’s my opinion. Sorry if it doesn’t chime with the pile on.
What “abuse” was shouted at Butler? Something along the lines of “bloody rubbish Butler” or a general airing of frustration is not abuse.
Bhuna states that Butler mouthed F off and gestured with his hands to get out of the ground. Sorry that was a bit tricky for you to comprehend.
It’s not difficult for me to comprehend. But if you want to be patronising, is it difficult for you to understand that this is one person’s view who, as demonstrated on this forum numerous times, has an agenda with Butler? It would seem so. But unsurprising given you’re hardly his biggest fan. It’s okay to be critical of Butler but also understand there are two sides to the situation. Something you perhaps need to learn?
Agreed.

True. Hardly just Scales who gives the ball away easily. Still think it’s a good move bringing him back for the run in and playoffs. He may just come back and hit form when we need it
‘my father told them to F’#K OFF’.
No surprise he’s banned then – staff should not have to put up with that treatment. There are people with very young and impressionable children around and quite frankly no one should have to put up with that in a family orientated stand. As for Butler mouthing ‘f off’; yes it’s unprofessional but supporters have been labeled ‘snowflakes’ for complaining about much less. One supporter on the Facebook group has complained about being sick of hearing the vulgar abuse almost every home game. It’s a valid complaint in my opinion.
I’ve got my own criticisms of Butler’s behaviour recently but this episode has an air of exploitation about it (i.e. some of Butler’s harshest critics weaponising).
Be interested to know the full facts.
Isn’t the Chief Scout Bear Grills (sp.) or summerts?
He might bring a bit more oomph than some lately. Great player on his day and can defend well.
Good stuff
Pleased to see it.

We were vulnerable before Nicholson moved on. He was having howlers.

Don’t see any reason why can’t win the playoffs bar facing York. Yesterday was an anomaly in terms of recent team selections and performances.
My general feedback to Butler is ‘stop dicking about’
I was happy with his appointment and still am. I don’t like his recent comments about off field matters and yesterdays debacle but that aside, he’s doing a sterling job.
‘he should have kept Nicholson at the club’
Hmm, can’t agree with that. It’s okay in hindsight but he was positively shocking before he left, for a long period. So much so, the general consensus on him leaving seemed to be approval.

Two truly terrible away performances this season – Solihull Moors and Gateshead. The latter the worst by a country mile.
Only watched it on DAZN. It was a great opportunity to simultaneously sort out my extensive CD collection, which was the far more stimulating pursuit.

Ollie asked him that twice. And rightly so. As I said before, I feel for the travelling fans. What a waste of time and money.

If it’s shared gate receipts i guess a home tie is less important but take your point about expenses. Though possibly one day coach hire? Still, a home tie is better obviously.
Am I right in thinking whoever plays home in the quarter finals takes the gate receipts?
Don’t worry, your favourite player is coming on to try and save the day
I travelled back early from a dog walk and I’m pissed off!
This performance has SODIron analysis all over it

I don’t think there’s anything fake about feeling for all those travelling fans to watch a poor showing which was pretty inevitable based on the selection and set up.
Not read it. Seems little point reading and commenting on anything club related that’s not showering of praise. Someone somewhere will find a way of labelling it Bru hate.
It was a bit special. Worthy of laudation.
It showed a pair of blokes getting words from security. Hence, ‘ranting silver fox’. Not really arsed who it is tbh or if they chucked out it not. Just an observation.
