What’s the C&B?
The CAB is the Citizens Advice Bureau.
They advise recalling Dec and playing him as an out & out No 9.Balanced budget (hopefully) no debt (hopefully) top 7 finish (hopefully)

At least we didn’t lose.
We’ll come good again.
We won’t be promoted this season – however, we’ve laid down a great foundation to build upon for next seasonDid you listen to their commentary Rene?
No, listened to the C&B.
Dec scored today in Altrincham’s 2-0 win at Brackley.
I’m still sticking with 1-1
4-4-2
A big un & a quick un up top.
Or, 2 quick uns on point. At the time it was a stupid decision to let him go for next to nothing.
Play players in THEIR position and not the role they get given in failed formations.
ABSOLUTELY!
“When Saturday comes”
Not watched that in ages… may give it an airing tonight.
Yeah, he’s frustrated and I get the feeling that he believes the average supporter doesn’t understand the mammoth job on his hands
His hands are tied, we’ve always being a BB&S club and will continue to be so.
He’s done a magnificent job with the lack of finances & facilities at his disposal
Bravo Stan!
We’re performing better than we expected.
We’ll finish higher than we predicted.
The current run / form is a glitch… all clubs hit a dodgy spot at some point in the season. Except maybe York? Their bad runs occurred in Sept & Oct… two draws on the bounce on both occasions :-)“Ambition” – didn’t the Swannster initially have that… didn’t end well.
“Sensible wage budget” – wins you nowt in modern football. You need owners with very very big pockets and even bigger egos. It’s all about money, money, money!

If we struggled in league 2, which would be highly likely, I can’t see where much extra gate revenue would come from, bar a few obvious bigger away followings, and given our home attendance may well drop with a lowly league position.
The gate receipts aren’t going to be that much different.
Higher level of football = higher entry fee? Times are tough, put the entry fee up too much and it could price some out of attending. We are also attracting higher crowds now than when we were in L2.
Better to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond?Additionally, the EFL money at L2 level ain’t nowt to write home about.
TV money? How many times are L2 teams broadcast a season? 1… 2… ?
You’d imagine the money all goes to the home team?
Do less turn up to watch live if it’s on TV?For anyone who may be interested in tomorrow evenings game:
Apologies guys. The silly website I looked at stated that they were playing tonight (Wednesday).
Two players sent off (54th & 57th min) last night. Only 1-0 down when the first was dismissed.some are saying, scunthorpe do not want promotion to league 2 as they cannot afford it…
The age old dilemma. Promotion = larger squad, increased wage demands, higher playing costs.
Attendances wouldn’t rise enough to cover the increase in player numbers and subsequent wage bill.
So, what do you do?Damage limitation now?
‘ain’t that how it’s supposed to work?’
‘Howe’ surely?
Bravo!
I missed that one.You could offer your services there Rene but then again the club will want an unbiased opinion on his performance
Free entry, programme, bovril, a chip butty… count me in.
Scunny, Harrogate double is 17/1 tonight. That’s got to be worth a couple of quid?
Please tell me you’re not listening in just to hear his name mentioned?
Hopefully someone from the club will be there in person to assess his performance… ain’t that how it’s supposed to work?
For anyone who may be interested in tomorrow evenings game:
A very simple and straight forward question.
Are we a “professional” football club?1 user thanked author for this post.
Hammered tomorrow? Every chance.
Butler shown the door? No chance. Quite right too, lower your expectations.Stability is what the Club needs.
Leave the mangergoround to other twonky clubs.Made the national league team of the day to boot.
Good for him! Bravo!

The kid has got a great attitude. Lovely family.
Fox In The Box Gets His First Alty Goal
Keep on smiling… n scoring!
Undefeated away.
Unbeaten in the League since someone recorded a 1-3 victory at their ground on 1st October.
Bookies have York odds on.
A reversal of the earlier fixture?
Iron 1-3 York
Saying that – we perform better against the big fish than against the sprats.
I’ll stick with the 1-3 though… we’re in a bad place at the moment.Apologies. I didn’t notice the other thread when I opened this one
However…
If things continue as they are, how long before we drop out of the top 7?

Butler would play him out wide.
Absolutely… left wing, No 11 :-(
Bagged a second to take him to 18 for the season.
