August 5, 2026 at 8:30 am #324002I bet the lads have trained well and that lessons have been learned.

August 5, 2026 at 9:04 am #324010I would suggest without hearing it that it follows the format of manager speak we hear trotted out up and down the land week in week out. They can only say so much about their ambition after all and it’s generally on repeat 99.9% of the time.

I bloody well hope they’ve trained well. Not sat around with a can of Red Bull scrolling through their smartphones!

It’s only the final 10-15 minutes that focusses on the season ahead and his ambitions but the discussion is more couched within making it an enjoyable environment for the players and staff while having to handle the pressure of the owners wanting promotion. He also explains why he responds to criticism the way that he does. I would suggest listening first.

Sorry… but no thanks!
August 5, 2026 at 2:53 pm #324062I listened, not to bad an interview a bit guarded but I understand that.
On the criticism it’s not the heat of the moment and passion like he says when he goes on to give interviews saying he doesn’t want those fans to go and watch, or when a serious interviewer pulls him on something and he then acts petulantly.
But other than that ok, nice to know that FGR budget cut is more than his budget he has to work with this season, makes you think it’s this season or bust for them with ditching the women’s team as well for the owners money and patience. -
