Was not impressed but he doesn’t rate others viewpoints anyway – hence sticking to something that is not working !
Play 442
Pass to own players
Play forward passes to runners
Feed crosses to big, rough Centre Forward
Stop Chuckle brother passingThat would be a good start.

IronLion – 442 may be old fashioned but for us seems to work.
We have seen with several managers that when their over complications and excessive passing does not deliver consistently they have to admit inconsistency and go back to 442 that settles it all down again.
Priority though is round pegs in round holes.
Has someone stopped listening ?
Are there Squares where rounds should be ?
Yes, had fought point. Disappointed with Dale. Considering the are in the box seat they looked very average.
Once again too many aimless punts forward and misplaced passes.
Not quite sure what happened with their penalty? Did Dieseruvwe touch it?
No – he ran up to the ball and then stopped followed by turning away from the ball thinking he could then go again. But you are no longer allowed that run in and stop momentarily. So Rory claimed a free kick.

Any ideas should be given to the club and let them sort things.
The only one that the club could not be consulted on was when IRON BRU did what he did – we didn’t have an owner just loyal employees who remained working for nothing.
Others want us to win it so what seems to happen – happens.
Is it squares for rounds again ?
He knows best ?Do we have the finances of F Green, York and the rest?
We would be in a better position if they debt level had not been so high. By not going into administration meant we could not drop the debts – although that would have cheated honest suppliers which would have been wrong.
Looks like I have to continue doing the Euro a while longer.
With Max he needs a run of games and AB seems to change 2 of the Mid regularly.
Certainly 2 cracking goals from him but how many knew what he is capable of.

A draw would have been a fair result. Bit of a howler from Mahady for their first and poor defending from the corner for the second. No complaints about their third as we were all up there in search of the equaliser.
Big problem tonight was the number of times we gave the ball away cheaply. Need to cut that out.
Always a big ask tonight and just the fourth defeat in 29 games, so not too shabby.
Rory may have been distracted for a second when he let the ball bounce in front. Only seen 1 piece of footage but I think a Carlisle player is running in from the side and he may have just switched his view long enough to cause himself a problem.
Either way he has done some good stuff for his age and things happen.

The problem with passing has been an issue for several seasons with several Managers. I do not understand the reason why it gets mentioned time and time again. If that was sorted permanently we would be OK.

If AB picks the right team and tactics then we should be OK. We’ll have to be much better than Saturday to have any chance, can’t take 45 minutes to work out the opposition.
442 – sharp passing forward from kick off and in front of the runners.
Set up for them to deal with us. Hughes will out think himself.
Totally agree with Rene that when you have a big ‘un and speedy little ‘un then 442 should be the go to formation, even more so us at home.
Make opponents deal with us and cut out over elaboration with possession passes. We did that once before when we were cruising the top of div 1 – remember ? Our manager then decided he was clever ! Remember what happened.

As several say – just going to have to see what happens, Dec does need regular football and more 20 mins here and there.

February is a huge month for us. 7 games and we need as many of those 21 points as possible.
Targeting is simply not good enough.
If the manager or the players are not to bothered then tell the supporters and that allows them to save money.
Cannot accept results like this. If you are a professional then you give 100% in EVERY game.
All the work to build gates can be swiftly wasted.4 users thanked author for this post.
IRON 5 – 1 win if treat HORSHAM FC with maximum respect.
1876Quite a few Premier prospects started moves to championship, div 1 and 2 clubs yesterday which is hopefully the trigger.
Erwing (sp) right up there too
With Connor recruited and should Joe extend his stay perhaps a 2yr with an option would fit well, could show Oli Ewing our intention. I realise he wants league football but these club moves may persuade him to do it here.
I think the root of the problem might be our inability to put games out of reach before the last 5-10 minutes. Whilst the lead is only one the opposition will always think they’ve a chance of getting something. (and they usually do!!)
Do you think if we do not score more AB starts to try and shut shop, but in some cases he has already made his subs which then don’t suit trying to do that ?
Watching EFL highlights the Bradford game the 1st goal they conceded Bradford had 6/7 players back which then left space for shots. In our games how many equalisers are from 20 – 30m yds out ? Clutter defences and who marks who starts to cause panic.
Was told by someone there that it was a tame shot, Mahady missed it, ball hit the post rebounded onto his head and went in. The highlights and commentary seems to confirm this.
How did their player not score that one on the line earlier ? I think take the point and move on.The player was George Thomas ! Anyone care to remember him when we had him on loan ? I prefer not to.
Carlton struggles trying to play as a centre forward. He has a poor first touch and is not great in the air.
He has genuine pace, works his ass off and is OK at covering defensively.
Ideal attributes for a wide forward.
Why do we keep playing him/bringing on as a centre forward? You need to ask Andy about that. When you do, ask why having predominately played 433 and the odd 442 which has got us 50pts and 6th in league is he trying such as 4321 and playing to cope with the opposition !
Don’t understand it.

Smith not selected either team or subs
International Clearance has not cleared yet.

Brilliant signing, can’t believe we did it. Well done to all involved.
I think Connor wanted it to happen as Andy Butler said he got a call from his agent.
The sale stipulation is I would think offsetting – anyone buying it as to provide social housing for Pensioners I .believe
Anyone who has parked there will know it is somewhat isolated, surely security would be a challenge for such an age group.
Regarding the training pitch I can see the plan re making some community accessible.Quibell Park is a great sports ground but the covenants on it I was told make it very difficult to be anything other than a community facility. So I can see why the club won’t invest there.
So lets us hope a benefactor wants to step forward.
Pleased we haven’t done a last minute, late night deal !
Remember the last time ? It was with Wrexham – we agreed a fee, we were daft enough to pay it and to this day no one from previous owners admitted the error ! 2.5yr deal and made 2 appearances – welcome Dom Vose !!
Hamilton’s new owners actually don’t have any cash to speak of. They’re decent operators but raise investment rather than just pump it in.
I’m told that their wage bill is astronomical given where they are (2.4m a year – which is crazy even if it’s close up that) so they are preparing for some short term severe pain.
Players who they don’t really want to lose, and even players who they might get a modest fee in the usual course of things simply have to go to get them off the wage bill.
Whether that means Smith is on his way back is another question but it seems very plausible.
Lincoln City have just released their accounts. Their wage bill is £7.5 million !! Which is 89% of revenue reported as £8.2 mill. Now that is sobering and only in Div 1.
