Their recent form a bit patchy, and their record against top teams is not great (apart from beating us when we had 10 players for however long)
Rochdale (A) – 0-1
Altrincham (H) – 3-1
York (H) – 0-3
Solihull (A) – 3-3
Wealdstone (H) – 2-0
Morcambe (A) – 1-0https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/25835470.carlisle-united-georgie-kelly-regan-linney-sidelined/ – two of their better attackers look to be out of tonight’s match.
What do we reckon?
1-1 for me
February 10, 2026 at 10:03 am #316192If AB picks the right team and tactics then we should be OK. We’ll have to be much better than Saturday to have any chance, can’t take 45 minutes to work out the opposition.
February 10, 2026 at 11:19 am #316194I’ll go 2-1 win
February 10, 2026 at 11:44 am #316196If we can avoid defeat I’ll be happy.
February 10, 2026 at 12:03 pm #3161970-1 for me.
February 10, 2026 at 12:12 pm #316198Always a tough fixture at Brunton Park but I reckon we can win tonight, they have been pretty patchy with their form of late and if they are missing a couple of their better players it’s the perfect time to take it to them. Our record against the top six has been pretty decent and we were worth a point when they nicked that 0-1 win early this season.

442 – sharp passing forward from kick off and in front of the runners.
Set up for them to deal with us. Hughes will out think himself.
February 10, 2026 at 1:29 pm #3162014-3-3 for me but we’ll see, hopefully not 3-5-2 or 4-5-1.
February 10, 2026 at 1:31 pm #316202More worried about Butler than Hughes outthinking themselves.
What was Butler playing at dropping his 2 top goalscorers to the bench when we played them at home.
Definitely 1-0 to Hughes at the moment on the outthinking.
I do hope he’s learned.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 10, 2026 at 2:11 pm #316204Just been on the Carlisle forums. Boyce and Will Evans have rattled them quite badly by looks of things: https://thebuzzisback.boards.net/thread/2675/scunthorpe-fans-on-social-media?page=4

February 10, 2026 at 2:33 pm #316205Bit of an odd fanbase. They seemed to get triggered by Scunny fans praising their performance in the previous game and one on there is making out that we have some big hatred of them. Team with no rivals trying to find some beef somewhere because Preston will never care about them.
February 10, 2026 at 3:28 pm #3162122-0 Scunny

Lol, ‘Animal’ and ‘GBH’. Not the hard case image Carlisle fans like to project.
February 10, 2026 at 5:09 pm #316219I still say the Carlisle player ran into Will Evans arm, but the Carlisle fans & manager will not shut up about it.
Evans is a rock and if he and Horton keep carlisle strikers quiet, i predict a 3:1 win for the iron.
Luckily carlisle number 9 is injured who spent most of the time earning fouls at Glanford park, most of which were not fouls.
Linney in or out, hopefully out..
Please AB do not play Hurst, either Connor Smith or the new striker.
The Vlogger for Carlisle fears that Scunthorpe will love the carlisle playing surface and there inner Barcelona will happen.
Cal ‘ messi ‘ Roberts !February 10, 2026 at 6:35 pm #316220Got what you wanted Bhuna the new striker it is, positive team from Butler and hope all goes well for him and the team.
Ps. And for the fans who’ve made the long journey, my 2 grandsons are there.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 10, 2026 at 7:00 pm #316222Dausch it is. Hopefully be more productive out on the left than Hurst was last game.

February 10, 2026 at 7:04 pm #316223Can’t believe he’s picked Barrows. His performance against Southend was very poor
February 10, 2026 at 8:22 pm #316224Has this Carlisle commentator ever watched a game of football before? Spouting some absolute horse manure!
So poor from Mahady, 64 will be loving that.
February 10, 2026 at 8:27 pm #316225February 10, 2026 at 8:33 pm #316226They’re crying about Whitehall going down easily. Crying they weren’t given a free kick for an equally soft free kick claim. Humberside commentators are far more balanced and less biased. These two clowns could learn a lot from them.

February 10, 2026 at 8:37 pm #316227‘Free kick to them’….. not the best commentary

February 10, 2026 at 8:42 pm #316228The funniest lines were around Horton being “vertically disadvantaged” and the offside law should be changed so that if you’re in an offside position when the ball is played but then receive it in an offside position, you should be deemed onside as it’s “just clever play”.
Real amateur hour stuff. DAZN should give the option for either commentary, Ollie Turner and Torps do a stellar job.

February 10, 2026 at 9:05 pm #316229Watch Denton for their second goal.
Just jogging back – really poor defending. Not switched on enough. Butler would (should) be fuming1 user thanked author for this post.
February 10, 2026 at 10:31 pm #316230I think the term ‘meh’, sums up that performance. Put that to bed and move on to Saturday. Not much to be positive about tonight Dave. Dausch did well till subbed. Could come good. Pity Smith didn’t finish his excellent chance. Put himself about though and caused their defence problems. Roberts goal was a good un. That’s it.

February 10, 2026 at 10:50 pm #316231Yeah sounds about right DM, the winning run had to come to an end sometime and we went down by the odd goal in five, shit happens, move on to Saturday and look to get three points against Boston, should be a cracking atmosphere too.

February 10, 2026 at 11:31 pm #316233A draw would have been a fair result. Bit of a howler from Mahady for their first and poor defending from the corner for the second. No complaints about their third as we were all up there in search of the equaliser.
Big problem tonight was the number of times we gave the ball away cheaply. Need to cut that out.
Always a big ask tonight and just the fourth defeat in 29 games, so not too shabby.
February 11, 2026 at 5:48 am #316234Overall I would say a sloppy performance and leave it at that.
February 11, 2026 at 7:13 am #316235I’ve forgotten about Howe already.
February 11, 2026 at 8:26 am #316236Your post says different Tjo lol.
Hopefully 3rd time lucky in the playoffs, that’s where my positivity would be Deerey, from reports doesn’t seem we were outplayed that’s enough for me considering our results against the others in the top 6.

February 11, 2026 at 8:37 am #316237Starbug needs to be reinstated. He’s superior to Barrows.
Must agree about their dismal commentators. Had a roomful of football intelligent people watching on DAZN.(No. It doesn’t happen all that often.) All were agreed that the commentary bias was disgraceful. -
