I’ve seen videus now of 2 goals that Max has scored for Leamington. Surely he’s worth a chance here with that kind of quality.
(Especially if Ewings future seems unlikely to be here.)1 user thanked author for this post.
February 12, 2026 at 7:58 pm #316255With Max he needs a run of games and AB seems to change 2 of the Mid regularly.
Certainly 2 cracking goals from him but how many knew what he is capable of.

February 12, 2026 at 10:34 pm #316258For me, drop Ewing and play Beestin against Boston.
Ewing has not played well since the January, will he/wont he sign or leave.
And on checking his surname spelling, Beestin played for Doncaster, he should be an AB regular !
And sorry, i know this article was about Max Brogan, who can also play in defence if needed..
Bring Dec Howe and Brogan back at the end of January.
have a big squad like F. Green, York and the rest…February 12, 2026 at 11:00 pm #316259Do we have the finances of F Green, York and the rest?

We would be in a better position if they debt level had not been so high. By not going into administration meant we could not drop the debts – although that would have cheated honest suppliers which would have been wrong.
Looks like I have to continue doing the Euro a while longer.
February 13, 2026 at 11:10 am #316262I’ve always liked Brogan, works hard, not shy of a tackle and can clearly pop up with a goal out of nothing. He’s never really been given a run of games to settle into the side.
For all of Ewing’s strong points, 1 goal from open play this season (on the opening day) is pretty poor for a more advanced midfielder.
February 14, 2026 at 8:37 pm #316309Kian Scales scored the winner for Radcliffe today, fetch him back as well.
February 14, 2026 at 10:13 pm #316316That’s surely one step too far, TJO.
February 15, 2026 at 12:59 am #316323Ewing needs leaving out for the time being. Boyce needs to come back in at CB and Horton can go back to LB. Also in desperate need of a proper out and out striker. Whitehall is too inconsistent. Cursons for Boston looked the striker we’ve been craving. They got him from Harrogate FFS.
They got Cursons and we got a 19yr old wide attacker from Coventry.

Lol, possibly too many beers ! But the fact remains Rowley and Ewing have gone off the boil and there’s literally nobody behind them in the squad other than the lads who have been loaned out.
February 15, 2026 at 7:50 am #316330Boston paid Harrogate £200k for Cursons according to a group of their fans I was talking to before the game.
That’s probably why we are shopping in th subsidised wages loanees bucket.February 15, 2026 at 7:55 am #316332Have to agree Rowley and Ewing not playing well, they have no pressure on them with players out on loan. Need Beestin in for Ewing, as good as he is, he will be away at the end of the season. As much as Roberts blamed him with his rant, and Butler agreed by taking him off, Smith needs a run of games to get sharpness and form. He cares and will be here next season.
Defence is a joke, Full Backs need to be JB and Horton, have the old men at CH and if they are past it, will need a loanee in. As someone said, we’ve been poor since Horsham, lucky v Southend, no tackles won at Carlisle.
Forget the next 3 games any points will be a bonus. Get it Sorted for Solihull onwards 3 out 4 at home and a chance to get form back1 user thanked author for this post.

No, we got a striker. It’s AB’s choice to play him wide, remember TSF & Dec Howe?

February 15, 2026 at 3:44 pm #316373That young lad doesn’t look like the kind of striker that will be effective playing as a lone striker in the national league. Looks clever and quick, but not a lone front man. From little we’ve seen him he looks to be more of a wide attacking player, similar in ilk to carlton.
We needed a proper CF to play through the middle. Whitehall is too hit and miss. I don’t think he really suits playing up fron ton his own. I’d be tempted to move him on next season and get a more suitable striker in for that role.

February 15, 2026 at 4:10 pm #316375Where would we be without Cal Roberts. and ffs can our players pass to him, Boston gave him so much room, because you know other team dont.
2 Scunthorpe managers at Glanford Park yesterday, sadly the best one is now Boston’s manager..
Why doesn’t Butler play players in there positions another ffsFebruary 15, 2026 at 4:11 pm #316376Yep we need a forward who can score more than 47 goals in 101 matches he’s shite.
