I was highlighting the lack of pre season games against league clubs from early doors, especially against our local rivals before they got all there’s arranged.
None of the guff we had to get the new pitch ready like PD is offering, there were 3 full months from season end till the chesterfield friendly, Rochdale got their pitch match ready in 5 weeks in the middle of winter, the club just sleep walking as per normal they need to put the work in themselves in all areas.

Depends on who’s the judge of what a player is worth, Fitz, Roberts and Whitehall worth every penny.
He paid them up till the date he said he wouldn’t fund the club anymore, just the same as Wharton threatened if no buyer come forward and the same with Swanny stopped funding and Ian Sharpe bought the club, well for a month’s before he bailed still wants the wage money back though.
I’m led to believe other clubs overspend on wages, some club offered Ewing and Westbrook more than we were prepared to and there it is all down to what clubs are prepared to pay a player.
Just look who’s outspending us this season in our league alone, Didn’t mean Hilton was in the wrong in doing so it’s just what happens at football clubs.1 user thanked author for this post.
Are the team expelling to much energy on other sports they are playing.
Let’s hope it’s just taking time to adjust coming to a big club with big expectations.
Mahadys debut gonna be good be good on ya debut, then Muzzie got hold of him.
We lost to Carlisle with Watson in goal plus no starting place for Whitehall and Howe and not even a squad place for Rowley rested so early in the season.
Bit of a pattern going on here or maybe just coincidence that when your better players aren’t playing you often get pretty shite results.
Only a young manager and inexperienced manager mind, he’s still learning now what he’s learning there’s the question.
Whoops sorry he’s learnt he can’t make a mistake with the starting lineup with the squad he’s got, his words not mine.1 user thanked author for this post.
He works together with his coaching staff it’s all about ‘we’ in fact there’s so many wees there reading one might piss oneself.
After all it’s his money ‘they’ are spending.
But yes bugger that let Butler Schofield and Muzzie do it all, after all doubt any of the board have even run an under 14 team.
Can’t really say Butler’s spending their money wisely though can we.
You’ve got to admit (well maybe that’s pushing it a tad with you lot) that him and Jimmy brought some great players in for Jimmy’s full season.1 user thanked author for this post.
Do I not like, our previous owners statement saying you need a plan B and a plan C, even telling fans where he thinks they’ve learned from last season and built a more physical team, and bloody hell he’s even telling the fans with updates on players leaving and why, along with what’s happening with the injured.
Sounds like they have plans/s bugger that.We shouldn’t have been in that situation last season never mind this season SST bearing in mind it’s only fans opinions.
Got to question the need for Muzzie has he ever improved any goalie we’ve had, if he can’t coach kicking and keeping the ball in play through numerous goalies now, would turn him into just a wage thief.
Pension him off he is old enough to take his works pension.1 user thanked author for this post.
All Butler was interested in was getting distance into them didn’t matter about results (correct) the only thing that mattered was the 8th of August season start.
Maybe a change of tack next season needed.1 user thanked author for this post.
Report said he drops out of the squad! Factually correct, but no mention illness all other team swaps they give a reason for.
Not being cynical mind. The manager doesn’t need confusing any more than he is on his best line up at the moment, just a small tinker with his starting line up from yesterday certainly till 60 mins then wholesale changes with those who haven’t had any game time.

Always looks bad though when you just push it for an easy tap in.
Bang on with ogle wrong side of his man.
Both Whitehall and Barrow’s played the full 90 mins against Yeovil and then he drops them!2 users thanked author for this post.
Well! First the positive we were in the game for the first 15 mins ala Rochdale away in the league, that’s it all negative from there on in.
Thank god Whitehall was dropped, dropped ffs he’d have got slated for doing f all up front.
Overjoyed to get to half time only 1-0 down, and fully expected Butler to give them the hairdryer treatment all to no avail if he did it didn’t work and they played even worse struggled to get out our own half.
Not seen a team so disjointed for a long time, at times we were Southends best attack option buggering about at the back twice Jones nearly got caught out been to slow to clear a back pass to him at times was like a Roberts half chance on goal, Southend fans loving him first half in front of them every time a back pass came to him giving it a big woah even had Scunny fans joining in.
No way did we lose because of Jones but bloody hell he just ain’t good enough dropped 2balls that should have easily caught, in added time he still managed to kick the ball out twice, now how many times did he kick the ball out of play altogether yet still arguably man of the match for a couple of saves he did make.
Now yesterday yes was just one performance, and Witham Southends PD equivalent on yesterdays performance is so wide of the mark, but it just wasn’t good enough and Ironawe can turn from preseason doesn’t matter a jot to it’s only 2 games, but preseasons do matter it’s to not only get distance in legs (Butler speak) but formulating how you play and system and after certainly yesterday know one is any the wiser twould imagine Butler’s the same. For Butler luckily he as the NL cup to play is best team again and get things sorted well that’s if he can. Certainly no time to rest players.
Rail service was very poor yesterday but not as poor as Scunthorpes performance.Move on done and dusted let’s not go there again.

Tis estimated that Peter Swanns lost £20 million of his personal wealth with Scunthorpe united.
Obviously he left Dave a few million in the bank when he took over to fritter away before he gave the club to Michelle.Cheers for that, already got Great Anglia tickets and wickford is on my route, is the alternative from fenchurch street, or other suggestions please.
If only the 4 directors had that attitude, instead of loaning the club money.
You’d want at least 51% of the club if you stumped up a million, but she’s only just got slightly over 20%.
Thought Michelle made it clear they don’t want any new investors.

Give it a month or 2 and they’ll be on the windowsill in the club shop for fans to help themselves to one.

And according to Butler he has.
So arrogant he says he can never get the starting lineup wrong with the squad he’s got.
That’s us put in our box.Such a cracking fixture that attracted 428 fans. Must remember to book early.
**** * ****** **** ****** **** **** **
Do they offer a discount for Scunny fans, if they don’t they should.
At least they still look alive in the Threadgold, unlike the Mortz.

Number 2 fan says Dave+Andy can formulate relationships with the clubs involved, I do hope so and Dave Fs off to some other club thumb and all.
Who’s site you used to get tickets AI won’t let me go as far as the Aldershot game using lner.
Not a few BLT a lot, my son and his mates amongst them.
Yep that’s pretty poor for the opening away game RHB I must admit.
Cost must come into it, manager hasn’t helped said after the bank holiday Monday game which the team didn’t turn up for, he said in some of the run in games he told them to play at 80% level and nearly 700 had travelled.
Train lads are paying top dollar no advance tickets for us.
Costing me nigh on £100 for me and the grandson with a Railcard and that’s going on the cheapest east coast trains available.
Coach travel is quite reasonable in today’s world as such only £45 per adult. Cost of living is killing everything.
Hope for a few more on the day will turn up.On the same theme.
The national league cup. Hartlepool 0 – 10 Middlesbrough
Changed the 4 first teamers by the second minute and left it as a under21 team.
The only good thing was they did tell fans beforehand that it would be a mainly 21s £10 admission, though they did say it would be a good experience too learn from experienced first teamers and would bring them on, wonder what they learned in 2 minutes.Time to go.
