As do fans Ironawe on the yardsticks, ours counts for f all though,
Mine was for us not to be in a relegation fight after ten games, Butler easily surpassed that.
While really expecting a playoff place based solely on our existing team and the revenue from attendances, still means f all but it does help.
Next season all being equal we’ll move up to be the 3rd highest attendances, again nothing less than the playoffs will do, no more he’s only a young manager learning he’s had 120+ league games now, no more I’d snap your hand off for being there.
Just a yardstick that the club and manager should expect.
A club that sacked 2 managers for attaining the minimum that was expected, don’t think any club owner can demand automatic promotion but maybe we’re different. As the sackings suggest.Wishes about the same as when we wanted Jimmy gone, he only left because of a penalty miss, popular opinion would suggest the penalty scored at Marine kept the incumbent in his job. So one could suggest Jimmy could have done a good a job as Butler, and has won more promotions than anyone else in non league.
I think we’re all real enough to know he’s going nowhere, or the owners for that matter. But I’m not blind enough to put them upon that high pedestal as others might.
Just all down to different opinions.1 user thanked author for this post.
Butler learning lessons! Give over.

Only from what Butler said Re, Sharp why would he want him when he’s got Howe and Whitehall.
(from owners to manager)
Owners as per saleiron puts it, I wouldn’t have put it so nicely.
Plus the Fc100,000 they’re bloody clueless thinking that fans would have accepted that change. With the manager his different mindsets at different times, Campbell is my number 1 goalie, never to be seen again after 5 games, at the same time calling fans out for not being happy with said goalie.
Letting players go out on loan at their request, to playing at 75% effort for a few games because he knew we’d make the playoffs, but once there could only get players to put the minimum required intensity for one game.2 users thanked author for this post.
A different mindset will only happen when both parties move on, and hopefully that’s where more money will be forthcoming.
Bloody hell Northhumbiron back on this thread on the 13th of April we were both on about the Chester manager on whether the board would change their stance on moving him on.
He’d already had moved on!
Are you sure your mate is a Chester fan lol.
Just seen Phil Parkinson has got the job.A couple of months ago Howe wasn’t even in Butler’s plans, I hope he is now. And I hope Scunny is in Howes plans, I’m sure plenty of clubs have him on their radar so he’ll probably need a bit more from Butler for him not to push for a move somewhere else.
You can’t run a season long squad starting off with just the 2 strikers Deerey, that’s why I said it would be frightening if we did.
I know your basing it on what Butler said to on the Sharp interview but surely he was only referring to sharp himself.1 user thanked author for this post.
Played 14 games for us.
Could have been a hero for us yesterday we know he’s got the ability, but only if in the squad instead of a goalie.1 user thanked author for this post.
Connor Smith 1 in 5 at Hamilton this season!
Matin Carruthers then surely. Got his team to the playoffs.
Congratulations Jimmy and Spalding for achieving your promotion.
Is Butler classed as a bottler for playing a goalie on the bench with 3 defenders as well Ironawe?
Probably our worse bench of the season yesterday, guess ever the optimist Butler thought we’d need to defend late on, if only we defended in the first few minutes.
Rochdale didn’t have a reserve goalie on their bench!3 users thanked author for this post.
Guess you mean Sharp, not for me he’s an inbred.
An home game in pre season, a mission statement for the season from Michelle and one from Butler and how we are going to achieve it.
Not to accept the invitation to the National league cup.
And only give the Fa trophy a go unless we’re below midtable at the time.Frightening!
There’s more chance of Butler signing Sharp then getting Dieseruvwe.
Had their fans rattled again they had just started singing a Wembley song when we scored.
None more was heard to the final whistle.Rochdale imo where a class above us just like the league game at their place.
We were left to feed off scraps after the early goal it made it so easy for them to play the game out, we could never have done that from the 3rd minute onwards.
Belehouan was absolutely shite yesterday and something we couldn’t afford to happen when everyone needed to be at there best.1 user thanked author for this post.
As much has I luv Whitehall he doesn’t last a full season without injuries probably carrying one yesterday, when he went down there was no waiting they just got Howe stripped off.
Not far off there WG imo, but I fear the goalie will be the cheap and cheerful Rory Watson again.1 user thanked author for this post.
Nagh not really, they were less comfortable at the back once Howe came on, just could have done with him once we scored though. For once he would have been more effective as a sub.
But I’d have called Butler for that.
Like I say no complaints they made us look ordinary and we just didn’t have the answer to change it.No complaints today the better side won on the day, obviously wasn’t on it like Tuesday but they were far better in all positions.
Just never let us settle especially after scoring so quickly their back 2 and the goalie so comfortable and just gave us the run around.
One seeing Roberts crying I would imagine that’s him on his way.1 user thanked author for this post.
“Here we go”
Rochdale calling. The arrogance of Michelle never mind an apology she never even mentioned the fiasco.
If we get there they’ll bring in season ticket holders first and only one ticket per person, just like Rowing did, that’s where me and the club parted.

Wasn’t me I wasn’t there today. Guess so plenty go in when doing the park run.
Sorry still don’t understand.
?
But they didn’t my daughter had purchased ours at 5,50pm not the 6 o’clock start time, sister didn’t get her email till 6,15.
Twas a re run of the Hereford fiasco where Stu didn’t get one. It’s not really hard is it, announce a time at dinnertime sending emails out at dinnertime start selling 6 hrs later, giving everyone time to email or ring the club if they hadn’t received said email. Could have gone even further not selling any on the Wednesday just the rules then start selling on the Thursday.
Just give everyone a fair crack of the whip that’s all fans are asking for, I mean it’s not about me I shouldn’t have got a ticket. Of course I’m not going to turn one down given the chance which I did and grasped with both hands.
Having said that last season I was the one on here offering to get bruers tickets when I was a season ticket holder.20hrs has you say to announce they go on sale at 6pm would hardly constitutes someone working through the night.
What do think the thought processes were that wouldn’t allow an announcement at 9 am, do you think Rochdale offered up something else and that the Scunthorpe officials deliberated but eventually threw out and opted for the 6 tickets option, that being the best offer on the table. They think they’re Royalty “never complain never explain” they did ought to tell Butler though.
Their silence on the almighty f up and it was almighty is deafning.
Even Cass finally came back after his support of taking so long till the tickets came out, appears they are magician’s though Cass they let them tickets disappear far quicker than they should have.
