I’m mystified by Butler saying we were 5 or whatever yards off the pace yesterday and not going on to explain that’s on him and the coaching team.

I’m mystified by Butler saying we were 5 or whatever yards off the pace yesterday and not going on to explain that’s on him and the coaching team.
He structured the pre season programme and drafted in his own players. If he felt they were 5 yards off the pace and they clearly have very little team/tactical cohesion, he should be looking in the mirror because thats squarely on him.
He’s the manager afterall. I honestly don’t know how we’ve started the season as if we’re a team of strangers who have done little to no work on tactics. This as disjointed as you’re going to get. Pre season is for ironing this out. This is the whole bloody point of a pre season.

Not really surprised how the first games have gone given Butler’s laissez faire pre season interviews and frequent comments of not knowing his best team. Spoke volumes about what to expect.

I suspect him of trying to be everyone’s “friend”, so they all have a chance of playing.
How many times have we seen him make four substitutions at once, unbalancing the side and gifting the opposition a goal?
Why?
To give players game time?

All Butler was interested in was getting distance into them didn’t matter about results (correct) the only thing that mattered was the 8th of August season start.

Why the change in statical review on the Owp gone from numerical bollocks that I couldn’t understand to now a descriptive review that I could.

The latest report is basically a quick-read match overview. On the club’s X account they referred to it as a statistical analysis. It does not seem like that at all. The previous numerical bollocks was actually quite interesting – even if only from a ‘scratch your head in disbelief or lack of understanding’ point of view.
