Not sure it has been publicly announced (it may have been, though?) but some people might be interested. United are only opening the Threadgold stand for the NL Cup fixtures.

According to our number 1 fan, there are some “cracking fixtures” in this competition and we should “get behind The Boys.” And here’s me thinking it’s a waste of time.

Thanks for that. Just reminded me I should watch Dogma again at some point.

Number 2 fan says Dave+Andy can formulate relationships with the clubs involved, I do hope so and Dave Fs off to some other club thumb and all.

It puts some mileage in to the stiffs legs.

The good news is there are plenty of seats to choose from still available.

To be fair, there WAS a cracking fixtures in this competition last year – the 3-2 win over Middlesbrough. Declan Howe’s best goal (so far) for Scunthorpe, one from Sellars-Fleming and a really well-taken effort from – ladies, cool yourselves – Mark Beck.

Such a cracking fixture that attracted 428 fans. Must remember to book early.

Well, whatever our attitude to this competition, it can’t be worse than Hartlepool. Having brought the fixture forward to a Wednesday afternoon, and subbed the requisite number of Saturday ‘s starters after 30 seconds, the Monkey Hangers proceeded to play their under18 side against Middlesbrough u21’s and were duly pumped in the process 10-0! What good that did to anyone involved in that match I’ve no idea!

Might be a good opportunity to rest ‘The Thesp’. Looks well leggy already.

And according to Butler he has.

So arrogant he says he can never get the starting lineup wrong with the squad he’s got.
That’s us put in our box.

Give him a couple of weeks and he’ll be saying he can never get the starting lineup right with the squad he’s got!

IMO he’s 1 out of 1 for getting selection wrong. He’s talking about knowing how fit Denton will be by tomorrow, it’s irrelevant if Horton is fit, give Denton another week to make sure.
