And while we’re on Americans, people WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER, aping their pronunciation of aluminum and nucular.
Are you listening Mr. Blair?Crosswalks indeed!
In fact any Americanisms on UK media.
And their spelling. Neighbor, color, program, tires, math etc.
The one that gets me the most is aluminum
Ah yes when the Americans urged us all yo use their spellings of Sulphur, and sulphuric, but refused to use the rest of the world’s aluminium.
Perhaps for them we should refer to sodum, pottassum, magnesum, chromum, etc2 users thanked author for this post.
Might mean PD been given an official position?
If it was actually happening it would be extremely concerning,it seems some tech loonies floated it and it was rejected.
I like that people who promote the death penalty are against this ” human rights abuse”I can’t support the death penalty while we cannot trust government, CPS and especially the police not to misuse it.😡
Rodhdale … promotion winning manager McNulty leaves to become Stockport County boss..
Beware the badge kisser … one minute undying love for Dale and the next hes gone.
Will Dale go after Butler ??
I can but hope.
Does it not bother/worry anyone?

Top shops not been long open, everything clean and new, almost every shop you’d need.
And probably the best chippy in town, where I got more chips for my four penn’orth than my dad got for his sixpence.
Mind… I could barely see over the counter.
Ley’s Farm was a farm although derelict, even then. We used to watch skylarks over the fields, then find the nest below.
And you could walk from Messingham Road, west across fields to Scotter Road and not see a road or a house.
Canada Farm was still working, and both the Moor well and the Brank well were actual wells.
Further across was Gravs, an old gravel pit, very wild.
Happy memories.
Except for Bottesford Beck… it was an open sewer and you could smell it from 50 yards on a still day 🙁1 user thanked author for this post.
I think it’s the new model for clubs lacking wealthy investors.
We could refer to it as HYHO, KYMS.

Was in 1959/60.
Most of it not complete, roads not made up etc.1 user thanked author for this post.
And manager…
If he goes to FG, I have to say I’m underwhelmed.
It also makes me question my purchase of another season ticket.
It’s beginning to look like we’re back to, “Yeah, we’re ok where we are thanks, but we’re a well-run club”.1 user thanked author for this post.

🙂🙂No one knowingly does it I don’t think. It’s just when you click ‘quote’ and the emoji in the original post is pasted in, humongously large.
But why is it?
Forum software glitch?June 4, 2026 at 3:46 pm in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #321475Electric?
Hmmmmmm…. 😉
I think it just might start to fail as an ideology once people start having to replace the main batteries.
£10-18k anyone?
That’s a hell of a service cost for anyone.Tend to agree. We all may have different options about PDs post and Stu’s response but he should have the right to criticise without being censored.
Because no one has ever been censored on Bru…oh…wait…

I sincerely hope we aren’t going back to the Wharton model, where directors put in £10k, then get free games and hospitality, before taking back their £10k, and walking away.
While we pay upfront, and never expect a penny back.Keep the supporters on side?
Only when asking for hand-outs.

Any relation to Collinson, Scunthorpe builder in the 50’s and 60’s?
I’m in agreement with our moderators.
For once.
🙂More things to go wrong?
Aye.
But ten years ago on a Subaru forum, I was discussing a new Ford Focus one of the members had as a second car.
He was extolling it’s virtues, including auto-verything, and heated everything.
I asked if he wasn’t worried about it going wrong, and his reply was that in three years he’d have moved it on, so it would be someone else’s problem.
🙁🙄We got a VW Tiguan for that very reason.
My wife is now a wheelchair user and found it too high.
Went to a BMW 1 series which was great but developed a fault with the aircon/heating, which forums revealed was common🙁
And expensive. Like £1800 expensive, (full dash out, two days labour).🙁🙁
BMW fixed it free as a gesture of goodwill, but I was afraid it would go again, so we now have a Merc A series.
And love it.Not a lot…
Another motoring one: SUV’s.
What’s that all about?
For a start, the first letter is a lie. They aren’t “Sport” at all. Most are sluggish, and will fall over if cornered quickly.
And “Utility”? No more utility than the average hatch.
Why on earth are there so many, each manufacturer having several?
And WHY do most people want such huge vehicles?3 users thanked author for this post.
We scored enough goals to be a solid team, but we need to score more if we want to have a realistic shot of promotion. Defence was far too error prone though and was the bigger problem.
We scored enough goals to win half of our games.
We drew 13!
Whether this was bad defending or not scoring enough earlier in the game is up for discussion.
I suspect it’s a bit of both, although we do have a habit of conceding late goals.
Cowardice on the part of AB
You are “The Angry Voice” and I claim my £5.
Surely the “proof” is that Yeovil announced a signing of a player we’d had on loan all season, but we’ve said nothing about not re-signing him?
That’s not proof the club knew he was joining Yeovil,it’s proof he is joining Yeovil only
Do you think he went to the Iron and said I’m negotiating with Yeovil while he has an offer on the table?
Might just have done so.
If he thought we might increase our offer.
So far we’ve “allowed” two to escape, but signed no one.
Bargain basement again? It’s not even the end of May yet. Lots of clubs will lose players in the coming weeks, but will not sign others until they have gone. Many contracts run until end June as well.
We don’t have a very good record of getting in players early, but it is somewhat unfair to start haranguing them so early.
Yeah, point taken.
Just bored, so looking for stuff to discuss.

Bargain basement again? To score we need service in their area.
Plus players who will shoot, not pass to a colleague trying to give them a tap in.
I bet that the high scoring teams took far less touches in or around the opponents area than we do.
And a message to AB: we are NEVER going to score, or create a chance from a back pass or a pass parallel to our penalty area in our half.
It’s not clever and it’s not pretty.1 user thanked author for this post.
