“Rory’s been a huge part of their success.” – Some geezer at York.
Okay. Me again unable to get H’side broadscasts.
Help please.I hope people are sorted now.
If not, sorry, I’ve being tied up a little.
This should work:
They sit 2nd bottom of the league and needed to win last weekend to leapfrog their hosts and demote them to 24th & last place. If we’ve got our strongest team available, then we could make things difficult for them… particularly if they view the game as a distraction and would prefer to try and survive relegation?
Difficult one to call. Will their priority be avoiding relegation?
Is our priority pushing for promotion?
Difficult to call certainly!!One thing is for certain… neither will win the cup.
However, a run to the third round would be great for our club and the town… I guess a good run for a L1 club would be to reach R4?
As long as it’s a good, fairly refereed game and we give a decent account of ourselves then we shouldn’t grumble.
It’s a pity that there ain’t any replays these days :-(

Safe journey to the travelling Iron faithful at Blackpool today, let’s hope the boys give a good account of themselves at higher league opposition UTI.
Safe journey guys (inc gals) and sing your hearts out as normal.
Their fans fear they will be outsung!
The power of the twelfth man!One of our ‘bogey’ teams.
They’ve won their previous five R1 FA Cup ties – we’ve lost our previous four.
Bookies have 1-1 as the shortest scorecast.
Their place ain’t a particularly happy hunting ground for us.
They appointed Ian Evatt on Monday 20th October and they enjoyed the new manager bounce last week with a 2-1 win at bottom club Peterborough.

However, you’d think that a new manager in situ would want to prove himself?
Difficult one to call.
Heart 0-1 Iron
Gut 2-1 Blackpool
Head 1-1 … who knows with pens?Blackpool 0-1 Iron
Henri Lansbury, top qualty loan signing.
Him and Cork were the best loanees we’ve had. Good players.
Their fans forum thread on the game

A club higher up the pyramid may come a knocking?
Reading – he’d probably need to relocate?
Peterborough – expected to replace DF today. If GM hits the rocks at Donny – then I can see AB given serious consideration for the job.
As Forrest Trump / Donald Gump said – “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get”
Beat the league leaders 3-0 at home last week.
Lost to the team bottom of the league 0-2 away yesterday.Football… pff!
Get rid and take the keeper with you
Both keepers :-)
Ah, but how do we get live coverage of Tuesday’s game?
I’ll be giving it a miss – as I have the other MMC games.
Dawson never had any pace; after his two knee injuries, he’ll be even slower.
I foresee a propitious outcome – good weather, players returning from injury, forwards eager to kick start a scoring run, a loud rambunctious crowd, possibility of going 2nd if a couple of other results are cooperative :-)

Att: 4,472At half time – we sit 2nd in the ‘in play’ league.
5-0 @ HT
Thanks Rene .. WTF is the ozzie commetator ??
Lad on RH
Westbrooke – 1 goal in 42 appearances for Donny.
1 in 2 (?) games for us.
Choose Radio Surrey – it’s an easier listen than the Dribble of Oz

Given today’s lineup , I would be more than happy with a boring, flat 1-0 win!
Oh dear… 0-1
Gandalf – their wizard winger?
Have you just bought a new thesaurus?
I was never too interested in Dinosaurs.
Ouch… I’d rather a plague of a million praying mantis be gnawing on me than have to listen to the Dribble of Oz “commentating”

Att: 4,472Let’s hope they don’t have a new manager in place before Saturday, we don’t want their players trying to impress a new guy.
Let’s hope Alan Dowson brings his 10% and not his 42% revolver to the gunfight on Saturday.
Too many draws, only two teams have drawn more. It cost us promotion a couple of seasons ago, are repeating it this season. Rochdale well away with games in hand – no draws.
Agreed, we’re not losing… but not winning enough.
And yet… we still look for things to grumble about. That’s life :-)
I guess you play inverted full backs to cope with inverted wide men?
[last nights starting back four]Attendance: 1,980 (101 away)
1980 x 20 = £39,600
Costs?
Coach £3k?
Hotel 16 rooms x £100 = £1,600
Food £1,000
Misc (laundering, players travel expenses etc) £1,000?Total = £6.6k
Possibly need 17% of the match receipts to cover costs?
