“Ross Barrows was everywhere for the home side on Saturday.”
Except on the back post for the Yeovil goal.
Nailed it Cass.
I give up, watch the highlights Rene, It is Denton who loses the scorer and Whitehall with a halfhearted attempt to then stop him.
Their bloke ghosted in from nowhere.
Nobody tracked / visualised his run.
I’d say it was a team fuck up.As the free-kick was taken, the marking of their four players in our box was poor.
Our four spare scarecrows in our box may as well have being! If we’ve 8 in our box against their 4 – should we perhaps have one in front and one behind each of their four?
Our ‘front’ markers then look out for any runners and pull off and close down / pick up the player if it’s in their zone?Whose job was it to mark OBENG – that is the individual who’s at fault.
Surely someone would have being assigned him? After all, he knocked in 22 goals in 42 appearances (7th tier) with Walton & Hersham last season!

But Howe is playing Rene so he’s surely scoring 4 goals?
Not as a RW / RM
Play him up top and he would probably get one, possibly two.I’ll be darn Sarfend and I agree they’ll be favourites but why do people think they are going to walk all over us. It’s very early days and so much negativity on this site. Give it 10 games at least, unbelievable.
Tell us how you are feeling at 17:00 on Saturday.
Omens aren’t looking good.
Tea leaves & tarot cards are saying the same.
Rebranding under way.
Iron Mistrust.“ Any Insiders?”
Are they doing time at His Majesty’s Pleasure?
Day release in convicts corner?Huge (Uninspired) Parker
Has he left the building?
Was his name not down?
If not, he’s not getting in!
Nothing lost if he never ‘signed’.Dec is the only other in the squad with a strong goal scoring record albeit mainly at lower levels.
I suspect that’s why Butler is giving him a shot wide right.
Time that Stan ditched the ‘look at me, I can set up teams in fancy formations’ to give the impression we’re (coaching staff) not dinosaurs.
4-4-2
Danny & Dec as two out & out strikers – they’ll get us fifty goals this season as a front two!4-4-2
2 full backs who can defend but can join in going forward
2 centre half’s who know their job but can pass out from the back and are a threat at corners & set pieces2 wide men who can get beyond their markers, whip in a good ball or nip inside and unleash a shot themselves… also fit enough to help their full backs out.
2 centre mids – one a box to box, the other more of a sitter who can spray the ball about.
2 forwards who have a proven goal scoring history. Willing to press high & early but also prepared to do doggies tracking back and closing down / angles
And a keeper who can command his area, stop shots, catch crosses and initiate a quick counter.
Too much to ask for?

Abysmal… as usual !
To say that Stan was a head it and kick it defender – he must be fuming!8 v 4 in the box… and we concede to an unmarked / picked up runner at the back
I accidentally deleted the file in the link contained in the post above.
Here’s their goal:

Give the money back?
Have a rethink?
Put it to a vote?
Stand down their positions?
Bin Face for El Presidente?Just watched Garth’s blog, what’s with the 7 fans leaving once we scored and before they restarted
(and that’s just in the centre of the Mortz on view) , still 10% of the match left not like we were 3-1 down.I’m with you Awaywego on early leavers, quite a few leave every home game some from 85 minutes onward in the Threadgold stand, regularly miss late goals be they winners or equaliser’s like yesterday. Really strange what’s the big deal getting away early? just crazy IMO.
That’s happened since the New Show Ground first opened nearly 40 years ago!
Used to take forever to get out of that infernal car park!
How many season ticket holders are there this season?
What was yesterday’s attendance?

Same old, same old… how many times were we done at the back post last season!
Have we learned nothing!Slow & pedestrian and high tempo & quick referenced within the same breath (it was within 10 seconds of each other). Oxymoronical statement?
Fight, scrap, bodies on the line – isn’t that a given? We need more than that… clever, inventive, unpredictable, unplayable – surely that’s the words we want to hear?
Pub players turn up and (literally) fight, scrap and try to put their beer bellied bodies on the line :-)
Brennan, 3 year contact. Strange one. Would he not sign a 2 year deal?
From last season – plenty to work on, we’ll work hard next week, something to develop, learning curve, lesson learned blah, blah, blah
All this learning & developing… we’ll soon be European Champions!
Squads too big and out of balance.

An independent Glovers site has a report up already.
R1 Scunthorpe 1-0 Yeovil – Result 1-1
Well, the favourites (Carlisle) to be Champions lost 2-3 at home.
1-1
Spill the beans.
I didn’t see or hear any of it.Don’t rule out Count Binface.
Yup, Labour, LibDems, Cons could vote for him to punish Farage.
Do we need to erect a statue?
A record number of candidates – 34 standing in the Clacton by-election.
Some (not so)serious opposition in next weeks line up:
Baron Von Thunderclap
Count Binface
Howling Laud Hope
Nick The Incredible Flying Brick
