That is fine, but I suspect it very much won’t and discussions online and elsewhere will devolve into bad faith accusations against others. Given the nature of Reform, Restore, Kemi Badenoch’s Tories and the Greens, I very much doubt the political sphere will be without this too.

International law is very toothless and has done very little to prevent historical misdeeds from tyrants and it leaves democracies hamstrung. The actions against Serbia in the 90s were against International law, but I am very glad we took action to prevent Kosovo becoming another Bosnia. The UN’s legalism hindered in Bosnia and Rwanda in the 90s. None of this means that the current actions are good and I think they will likely make things worse. However, I think the main concern should be over the latter – about what’s best for the people in the region. One thing that hasn’t helped has been allowing Iran to gain a foothold within the region, where it has fermented and participated in war with Israel, Syria and Yemen, alongside its severe domestic tyranny.

I fundamentally disagree with your stance on international law. It’s a principle that all countries should strive to uphold. The more a nation throws it out of the window, the worse the world will be. That’s my belief and one I can’t see shifting regardless of any online or physical polarised arguments. I don’t believe what’s playing out now is in any way shape or form going to be best for anyone, least of all Iranian’s striving for democracy and regime change.

It might become a polarised topic, but I hope people don’t become embroiled in that, continue to question the legality of it based on international law, and make their own minds up about whether it’s the way to act. Because ultimately, who is benefitting from it? The Islamic Republic may be weaker, but it isn’t going to be eliminated, and without that the real danger of people from various sides and faiths suffering further as a result is deeply concerning.

Some are critical of Bowen and other BBC journalists, and whilst not perfect, I usually find their analysis instructive and intelligent:

    Michael Rosen:

‘Trump says, I can’t allow Israel to have nuclear weapons, very bad. Israel bad. People in West bank…crying out for freedom. You little people can’t get rid of the bad people. We’ll do that. We told them what to do. The bad people, the very bad people didn’t listen. They bomb places. Keep trying to grab land. Very bad. And bad. So we’re going to do a lot of damage. Big damage. Let’s see what happens. People are going to die. That’s war. I don’t die. I’ll never die. Bad people die. I’m not bad. No point in asking me questions, you. You’re ugly and stupid. I bring peace. Lovely peace. Nobel peace. Lovely Nobel. He was called Nobel because he was noble. You didn’t know that, did you? Everything that’s come out of the Epstein files says that it was the Democrats. Case closed. Bomb doors open. Watch out Israel, we’re gonna nuke the nukes.

President, sir. I think you’ve got the names of the countries muddled.

I did? I did? When? How? Melania? Nurse? Doctor? Where am I? li…’

Well I hope Butler and the coaching team read your posts and take them on board.

Very interesting and insightful. I wonder if this partly explains Butler shouldering much of the blame for recent performances? Perhaps he understands he needs to shift the target narrative if he wants the players to move up a gear? Time will tell in his future interviews.

Shame the same approach wasn’t taken by the Muslims when Maccabi were in Birmingham.

If you’re attempting tit for that, at least try using a more appropriate comparison. The main grouping of people criticised over that were West Midlands Police for exaggerating the evidence. So much so non-Muslim Chief Constable Craig Guildford resigned over it.Just to remind you, because you seem a bit muddled:

It’s a shame it vexes some football fans. Respect of other religions and cultures is the civilised approach.

I thought it was illegal to bomb a country and dispose of it’s leader, no matter how abbhorent, without provacation? Surely this is the more worrying aspect? Imagine if Iran had bombed America and killed Trump. All hell would break loose. But seemingly it’s tolerated for Trump to act like a moronic John Wayne.

Was that in another interview Cass? In the one with Humberside that I posted he said ‘first half we were miles off it…’ and then proceded to explain why in great detail.

SUFC official Deerey, haven’t listened to the Humberside yet.

I’ll have a listen, thanks. The Humberside one is worth a listen.

Just for balance, in this post match interview, there’s no hint of conceitedness, arrogance or stubborness. He took Whitehall off due to a dead leg, and Roberts is carrying an injury. He admitted that sometimes he gets it right, sometimes wrong. What do you want him to do? Crucify himself? Ollie Turner also asks when the players might start taking some of the blame instead of Butler himself every week. If he was so arrogant and conceited he wouldn’t be shouldering the blame and protecting his players. Clear as day he’s disappointed not to have had the three points. Some supporters are prepared to play dirty to undermine Butler in my opinion.

I said ‘might’ awaywego. Isn’t that what managers and coaches do? Speak to and train players?

I admitted yesterday I’d tried to erase the Boston game from memory.

When the phrase ‘stubborn’ is dropped will nilly in to many posts, remarking on that is also opining. Problem with some supporters is they don’t like their precious opinions being challenged and can’t see the irony in their posts. That’s a shame but not my problem.

Just listened to AB’s post match.
    “The first half wasn’t us”
Look at recent games Andy, that first half was exactly us. Don’t kid yourself.

So was the best of the second half performance not the real ‘us’? He can’t do right for doing wrong it seems.

Not defending Butler making seemingly unnecessary late subs but the ‘stubborn’ tag gets bandied about too easily for me. Many of the calls fans have made in recent weeks and months, Butler has seen also and acted upon. Ewing was dropped, Mahady dropped, new recruits, etc. Sometimes mistaken, but stubborn? Nah, he’s managing as he sees fit and unfortunately when it doesn’t work he gets accused of being stubborn because the online experts knew better. He’s not stubborn when it’s going well is he. 8 don’t want a manager who hadn’t the courage of his convictions and kowtows to every supporter opinion.

Do you not think Whitehall concentrating more on playing football today and spending less time looking for free kicks might just have been down to Butler speaking to him about it? Steady though, let’s not offer Butler praise where it might be warranted.

It’s disputed by council presiding officers who witnessed no instances of family voting. They’re not going to risk their jobs by not intervening if they witnessed those antics. Perhaps the volunteers were a bit card happy like some refs get?
