Farage is such an irresponsible pleb done on purpose of course then sits back saying “ nowt to do with me guv “. Completely opposite reaction to what the poor family of the murdered lad asked for, Farage gets more like a Trump clone everyday.

The Wharton model put us in the Championship and kept us in the football league, not sure it would now but it’s all about what works in what era I guess.

Driving a car with a chimney sticking out the back is so 19th century!
    Has nobody gone electric yet?

Our son drives a company electric car which is a big skoda, he says it’s quiet and fast but not that much fun to drive. No revving engine no slick gear changes just bland motoring I guess.

You pensioners must be pretty flush. I’m still driving a 20 year old Fiesta with CD player and fag lighter, plus rusted in spark plugs (common design fault).

Well you do use the loo more as you get older so pretty flush is quite appropriate 😂

Yeah I’m guessing Unnecessary Dave would be maybe a more appropriate title, the hypocrisy is astounding but that’s egos for ya.

Nice thing about the Ateca I bought it was registered as February 2025 even though it’s a 73 plate. This missed the new automatic systems introduced in April 2025 which means I never have to worry about the lane changing warning system as I have to manually engage it for it to work and like you NI I never use it. Don’t mind using the distance control on motorways, set your speed limit and let the car keep you at a safe distance plus you can disengage or re engage easily enough if you wish. Yeah I know I’m getting lazy but that’s tech for you some of it is useful some of it is pants but at least we have a choice still.

Roberts nagh, Keegan nagh, Keegan at Liverpool I would imagine so.
Got to have put the years in or score some important goal, Byrne and Garcia did both.
Kevin van Veen for his goal at Grimsby the only time in my 58 years of watching we won at their place.
Goalies, Barnard and Murphy deserve to be there imo.

Weren’t you there when Nigel Cassidy scored the winner in 1969?

I was makes you feel old don’t it?

Someone mentioned Keegan, I see today he’s confirmed he’s stage 4 with his cancer, such a shame, genuinely nice bloke and a great ambassador for the game, I still remember Kevin fondly from his time with us as a player, I was only a young teenager but my mates and I thought he was brilliant, great example to follow for any young player wanting to get on in the game.

Range Rover the most nicked brand in the country apparently or certainly was a couple of years back. A few owners I have known over the years say they are a bloody nightmare for going wrong, I reckon they have so much tech it’s counterproductive because it means there are more things to go wrong. I agree about the badge of honour thing but not to trust a reversing camera is crap IMO, I use mine on the Ateca and it’s great but like all developments in car tech it makes you lazier, good example is sat nav, my daughter uses hers all the time and consequently when you quiz her about a certain route she is clueless because she is used to being shown the way and therefore pays no attention to how she got there which to me is crazy.

The large suv type vehicles are crazy and I’m not sure what the clamour for them is, as regards the small medium sized suv’s, well they are quite a bit higher than the average car and are therefore a lot easier to to get in and out of as you get older. I can confirm this as in the last year I traded my c class merc which I’d owned and enjoyed for ten years for a 15 month old seat Ateca, really pleased I did, not as much fun to drive of course but a much better option for longer journeys for us older folk, quite nippy too and much cheaper to service. So it’s a yes and no from me if that makes sense 😂

As regards the dog in restaurant business you could always grab a meat cleaver from the kitchen, butcher the annoying dog in front of the owner’s and declare to the restaurant owner “ I’ll have this to go done medium rare with cheesy fries thank you “

Maybe Mac T offered more money, it’s usually about the money which is understandable for anyone really but particularly footballers with their short careers and blah blah blah etc.

We scored enough goals to be a solid team, but we need to score more if we want to have a realistic shot of promotion. Defence was far too error prone though and was the bigger problem.

We scored enough goals to win half of our games.

    We drew 13!

Whether this was bad defending or not scoring enough earlier in the game is up for discussion.

I suspect it’s a bit of both, although we do have a habit of conceding late goals.

Cowardice on the part of AB

Well it’s an opinion but you have no hard substantive evidence to back it up, only various opinions which differ wildly.

Both Dodgy Dave and the manager he appointed were out their depth at our club and so he proved with his incompetence, he’s in a much better place with lesser clubs who don’t overwhelm him into making stupid decisions. Guys a joke really when it comes to competence.

I’m guessing the majority of of ticket sales including season tickets are now done online, that surely means the ticket office could remain shut an extra day a week, not sure about shop sales, people still like trying stuff on even a footy shirt before they buy.

The old chestnut the current board have done a marvellous job in turning the club round and this new pitch funded by an efl grant is a master stroke but they ain’t got any serious money between them and that is a big problem in driving our club forward IMO.

We don’t know the playing budget yet and that will be decisive, anything less than last year’s £900,000 and a poor season beckons, you would reckon it should be north of a million after what was achieved last season, fingers 🤞

Course you’d have him back Ironawe, probably along with TSF, Ogle, Watson and Hurst. Just like of the inbreds.

Well a player who was the second highest goal scorer in league one last season (19 league and 20 in total ) helped his team to a top three finish and a playoff final plus selected for league one team of the season sounds like a player most would welcome back but as I said he’s far too good for us now.

Nobody is too good not to score an og, I’d have Kyle back here in a heartbeat but he’s far too good for us these days.
