Well they haven’t lost a league game since we beat them at their place 22 games ago which is a phenomenal record, it’s time they lost again, come on Iron ✊

You could offer your services there Rene but then again the club will want an unbiased opinion on his performance 😂

Rene is Dec’s dad, otherwise it is a bit of an unhealthy obsession.
Deffo his love child, those Butlins rock and roll weekends have a lot to answer for 😂😂😂

Blankets, Now that is nostalgic NI, as rough and ready we were back in the day twas treated with respect.
Imagine letting people throwing coins with permission in this era.Seen a few young lads at the wall in the DRE get their heads cut open by thrown coins from the back of the stand back in the old charity blanket collecting days, not a very intelligent or safe way to collect money thank goodness it’s gone.
We will probably beat York and watch their manager get sent off for dissent .

Shame because he was becoming a bit of a cult
He’s one letter change away in the above sentence from becoming something else>
A Celt?
Perhaps in a parallel universe of comedy but not in Scunny 😂
Now that the pervert and country betrayer formerly known as Prince has been interviewed by Police, where do we all reckon it will end up🤔
The only logical reason my arse. You really do talk rubbish Wondergoal
Yes but he is very good at it 😂😂😂

Whoever said it gave a fair description of him while he was here.
…but people who understand the game can always see the bigger picture.
…and to think one long term member on here once referred to Kyle as “ utter dog mess “ , always an easier game on a games console.
Perhaps the lower mid table team predicted by many before the season started has finally decided to turn up?

Yep we will take that point after last Saturdays debacle, nice one guys.

The state of the pitch meant the game was more lottery than football match which would probably have favoured the Cods , if the pitch had been in immaculate condition I suspect Wolves would have won the game comfortably by several goals but it was fun watching everyone sliding about and getting blathered up, not a football match in reality more a football mud wrestling match, really funny watching everyone sliding about at times.
Considering the majority were speculating pre season that top 10 or lower mid table would be a decent finish based on budget size and just getting promoted any talk about Bultlers position is simply ridiculous IMO , mind you it won’t stop some from banging on about it as per usual.

One of those games, defensively awful for at least four of their goals and scrappy play on a poor pitch doesn’t help. AB needs to sort this out and get us organised for Tuesday night at Rochdale or else it will be another difficult watch and three defeats on the bounce but we have to put this one to bed quickly and move on, a very poor afternoon indeed.
Yeah sounds about right DM, the winning run had to come to an end sometime and we went down by the odd goal in five, shit happens, move on to Saturday and look to get three points against Boston, should be a cracking atmosphere too.

Always a tough fixture at Brunton Park but I reckon we can win tonight, they have been pretty patchy with their form of late and if they are missing a couple of their better players it’s the perfect time to take it to them. Our record against the top six has been pretty decent and we were worth a point when they nicked that 0-1 win early this season.
Always thought the Newcastle replay was a bit dodgy, in the first game Chris Simpkin ( hard as nails ) marked Malcom McDonald out of the game completely and even left him on the floor in a tangled heap a couple of times, those who were there will remember it. Replay and Simpkin never went near McDonald who scored two of their three goals, never felt right that result.
Seem to recall 16 or 17 thousand reported for the Arsenal league Cup tie. Don’t think the Newcastle replay was that high given it was a midweek afternoon. Got a right bollocking from British Steel for skipping the afternoon at college.
Still remember going to the Arsenal game, night game behind the DRE goal at the OSG as a young lad, brilliant atmosphere, when we scored I thought the roof was coming off the old stand , unbelievable noise and excitement, happy days and the result didn’t matter it was all about the buzz of being a part of it. We didn’t get many nights like that back in the OSG days.
Spoke to AB a few times, very approachable and is great to chat to, managers aren’t Philistines they are human beings just like us, honest they really are.
Wasn’t there 19000 for the Newcastle cup replay in 1974? Think the record is around 23000 for a cup tie back in the late 50’s early 60’s.

Pickford’s Removals, Egg Fried Rice & Sugar Kane?
I believe he used Pickfords Removals when we gave him the bullet.
Hurst will become the new whipping boy for some, after all Beck is out on loan as is Campbell and AB who some wanted sacked less than a year ago has got us promoted and has us lying third in the National League, someone has to fill the void for the pathetic crew to chip away at, lol.

See Maison kept a clean sheet for Bradford PA yesterday, will do the lads confidence good after his injury problems this season.

Can imagine him face planting into Gareth’s big birthday cake after a couple of shandies.
Hurst rescued from being the worst Iron player on the pitch by Barrows performance?
It would be a tough call, I thought Denton was terrible.
Good ball by Denton to Cam for the goal but in truth the majority of the team were poor first half, second half big improvement IMO.

Flipping heck Matt you just broke Renes heart 😂
“And now, from Norwich, it’s the quiz of the week!”.
“And now, from Scunthorpe, it’s Positivity Dave!”
Old Nickersoff Parsons eh now that’s a blast from the past.
Don’t know why we go half a game before deciding to play, rubbish first half but much better contest second half. Couple of good saves and catches from Mahady and Evans was excellent but Whitehall and Roberts had good chances to add to the score line. Southend a decent side and nice to see Tom Hopper keeping that number 14 shirt. Yeah we rode our luck at times but big deal it’s all about winning and we did that, thought the new lad on first viewing looks a decent signing, Dec who?
