    Aye aye aye aye,
    Clemence is better than Yashin.
George Kerr is better than Eusebio,
And Grimsby* are in for a thrashin.
    * Insert other teams names here.

To the tune of “Exerpt from a Teenage Opera”:
    “Grimsby Town, Grimsby Town,
Is it true what people say
You’re going down, oh yeah yeah?”

Sadly, we both did, that season.

    We got a razor
    We got a gun
    We’re from the Show Ground
    You’d better run
We are the Donny Road End

Moronic chant from the moronic fringe back in the day about 1968 I think

The old f**k em all which began during our 1969/70 cup run culminating in defeat at Swindon 3-1, to the tune of The long and the short and the tall
Sheff Wednesday, Stockport and Millwall were the teams sung about , we never could fit Macclesfield in.

Will only make sense to old farts who remember the tv advert for Wonderloaf….

    “Oh Terry Heath, is wonderful,
    Oh Terry Heath is wonderful.
    Full of health,
    Full of life,
    Full of vigour.
    Terry Heath is won-der-ful”!

    A teddy bear’s picnic!

“If you go down to the woods today,
You’re in for a big surprise.
“If you go down to the woods today,
    You’ll never believe your eyes.
For Jeremy the Sugar Puffs Bear,
Has got some boots and cropped his hair.
Jeremy the Sugar Puffs Bear’s a skinhead!”

Away from the Iron, I particularly like this well crafted Derby County ditty sung to the tune of “My old man’s a dustman”.

    “Stan Collymore’s a wanker, he wears a wanker’s hat.
He was a Forest bastard, now he’s a Leicester t*at.
He went out with Ulrika and beat her like an egg.
So when he came to Derby, we broke his f**king leg”!

The last line I remember was
“ and braces too and now he is a skinhead “. Only a slight difference but it was the version we sang back around the late sixties

Reckon Lonny Donegan would appreciate the Derby version, quality banter put to music.
