Dale didn’t dispute it too much. Won’t stop McNulty chatting shit in post match though
Dale were second best the whole game. York got out of jail. Fair play for keeping going.
York would have outplayed us in a playoff match. Dale will beat us in the air on crosses and long throws. Not sure which I’d have preferred tbh
In all seriousness, you’re mad if you think I was leaving that premature tosh up! I reckon Dale fans lost that invading the pitch. If they hadn’t and added 5 more minutes there was only 1 min left and York don’t get that chance. Was the York goal over the line? Not so sure.

Lol, stomach pump?

‘he took Duncan’s team up and brought his own down, sounds about right.’
About right, as memory serves. Sniffing’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
Not everyone likes animation
Lol, fannies? Just been transported back to the 80s.
Possibly. It’s de rigeur to have a pop at him, or criticise him. Doesn’t help himself mind.
Hopefully no other ex players go the way of Le Tiss after finishing their playing careers
To be honest would you want someone coming in of that age as a coach, potentially who’d take your job just like he did himself do.
Same when Cliff Byrne wasn’t offered a new contract from the then manager in charge, bit like expecting turkey’s to vote for Xmas.
The correct decision for Butler.I just don’t want a 40 year old coming in boosting his pension thanks. We need to be looking to the future.
Thought he was a Leeds fan?
Is there a link?
Yes, Sharp used to play for us.
Roberts rested on Saturday. Boyce not involved in Sat or Tues games
‘the last few generations are a pathetic example of couldn’t give a toss.’
Indeed, and it’s getting worse. Take charitable donations in the UK for example – down £12bn in the last 10 years. 660,000 donors down per annum since 2016. A main factor being the young having far less disposable income and job security and older donors slipping off this mortal coil. Charitable giving is not a social norm anymore, like it used to be. Charities are facing increasing crises. Lack of trust in institutions seems to be a big factor, according to research.
Are we still talking Kane and the Balloon or Matt Roberts for The Biggest Waste of Money Award?
Agreed
Very true.
As I said on another thread, it’s more noticeable reactions to team selections, losing, bad performances, etc, that are apparent on X. I know many don’t look on that platform but many do and add posts, far more than on here. I have mentioned in the past that views that I post about online flak aren’t confined to Bru. More the general Iron social media sphere.
Tend to agree with your second paragraph MKI. Can’t agree with ‘often techy Humberside interviews’ though. There hasn’t been many this season and certainly nothing like his petulant and childish stand off with Ollie last season.
Twerking
I think those are fair comments in the last two posts. Probably seen more Butler Out comments or ‘I never wanted him in the first place!’ reactions to decisions or outcomes on X. They are out there though, for sure.

From Butler Out Boys, if he’s not getting grief, the most he ever gets is begrudging acceptance that he may have done a few things right.
Someone rested on Saturday pulls up with a hamstring on Tuesday: ‘bloody Butler’s fault for resting him too long!’. If there was a credible way to blame him for the pitch, some would be trying it.
That any bit of praise for Butler is seen as ‘happy clapping’, ‘a*** licking’, etc, is as delusional as those that can see him doing no wrong. Which isn’t me I should add, though no doubt someone will lazily claim it as per.
Lol, guaranteed Butler fields a very weakened side on Saturday and we get beat on Tuesday and there will be plenty of those that said ‘field a weakened side!’ blaming Butler for fielding a weakened side. Fickleness demands it. Which was my original point.
Personally I’d like to see us play full strength and get a decent win but I can’t see it happening.
I think he’ll start Mahady in goal – won’t want Jones to drop a pre eliminator clanger.
Defence – Scales, Boyce, Horton, Barrows
Midfield – Denton, Brogan, Beestin
Forwards – Dausch, Howe, SmithSubs – L Jones, Evans, Rowley, Ewing, P Jones, Belehouan, Beck
I’m assuming Beck and Brogan are back ? AB said everyone being recalled.
I knew I wouldn’t be the only one hoping he plays a full strength side. I’d rather they had the game time and build some momentum going in to the play offs. Don’t want rustiness.
Hope he doesn’t play Mahady. Stick with Jones for consistency.
Well I have to admit to not checking the starting eleven of the other top 6 clubs for weeks on end. I assume you have? Are you saying they’ve not made any changes? How many changes constitutes a ‘weakened’ team? 2, 3, 4, 5, 6? I assume you know and it’s not merely ‘hot air’?
I don’t take much of what he says in interviews that seriously tbh.
‘Fans would be delighted to have the opportunity to sing an apology to Robbie I’m sure.’
Sarcasm aside, don’t worry, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of frothing neanderthals ready and willing to vent their life frustrations at him in meaningless expletive ridden diatribes.
‘other managers understand’.
Which manager’s are you referring to?
Weakened team at Gateshead – unacceptable
Weakened team on Saturday – essentialDon’t agree with either of those claims. It wasn’t ‘unacceptable’ to field a weakened team at Gateshead. It was very poor too field a side with so many changes and not give travelling fans an idea this might be happening to save the time and expense going (though awaywego apparently only goes for the craic regardless so…), His excuse and doubling down was poor too.
It’s not ‘essential’ at all to play a weakened team on Saturday. In my opinion, the starting eleven for Tuesday needs more game time to work on tactics, passages of play and shooting. If you don’t believe he would get pelters for playing a weakened team on Saturday and losing Tuesday, I strongly disagree. Evidence for boot sticking in from a section of the online fanbase suggests otherwise.
