1000+ going tonight a bloody good turn out, I’ve never seen us win at Rochdale plenty of draws and defeats about time that was remedied here’s hoping.
I at least expect them to turn up and put a performance in, years ago that would be a given but nowadays not so much.

Not so confident following recent performances.

Remember a few night matches at Scotland in the 80s. Rum do’s they were.

    Prediction for tonight

IFA is going for an entertaining game with a few goals … so 3-2 either way HOPEFULLY TO SCUNNY

Refering to yourself in the third person there – getting mugs made with yer fizzog on usually follows.

Looks like a case of players punching above their weight and exceeding expectations before Christmas

You punch above your weight and capabalities as a team over a short stretch of games e.g ten, not 28. That’s no fluke, we’ve mixed it with the best in this league a number of times and played them off the park.

I didn’t say it was a fluke. Have no idea how you’ve landed on 10 games instead of 28. Anyhow, just thoughts, wondering why the drop in performance levels.

Promotion honeymoon looks well and truly over last few games. Looks like a case of players punching above their weight and exceeding expectations before Christmas. Maybe recent performances are a truer indication of their level?

Also, never seen Blunder Park looking so down at heel. It was never glamorous but looks totally neglected.

Only saw the highlights, but it was entertaining enough. Haven’t seen that much mud in a goal mouth for decades. A lot of fin cleaning needed after that!

I got the impression it’s a recent deterioration though, with the high levels of rain. Our pitch was pathetic one game in to the season!

It was good to get 70s flashbacks of mudbath games on the telly anyway. Character building for those southern Jesse premiership boys who’ve never had a speck of dirt on them.

All the messaging from the club seems to be that the Trust are an entity to ‘put up with’, not courted. They save that for the narcissists, who appear to be breeding like rabbits.

‘twould be better putting money into the club itself one would think’

Unfair to throw in Epstein, but definitely agree with this.

Smith and Starbuck inclusion today, which I welcomed; wtf happened? Or did they just not happen?

Without singling any of them, most have been ‘off it’ for weeks. What’s occurring? Some sort of regroup and reset might be needed. Let’s not single out players and chip away at the edifice. We don’t have the answers. Down to Andy and the squad to sort their shit out. Don’t hang about though lads.

    Caveat: didn’t witness today’s game

I don’t know what Ewing is playing at either.

Ewing was very poor against Carlisle and hasn’t been that great for a while. My guess is he has a moved lined up with his agent and a part of his mind is elsewhere.

Missed your wild speculations. Welcome back.

Might be mistaken, but I recall the group were applying for charitable status in the past. Did that happen and was it approved by the charity commission? There are reasons this process is in place to ensure accountability.

I believe it’s separated out if the donor puts a reference in with the donation? I suppose not everyone is going to remember to do that though. As I said on another thread, I’d forgotten about the travel malarkey. Still can’t agree with you on it being ‘dodgy’ but hey ho. I agree there’s better ways of doing it, via direct club support

Good to see that Starbuck and Smith are starting. Hopefully a good call.

Someone has sensibly asked if the Unity group is a registered charity with audited or independently examined accounts. I just assumed it was. I do hope so. I’d forgotten about the away travel topic.

Where’s the harm in it if the club are backing it, all funds are accounted for and go to the intended cause?

That’s unfair calling it ‘dodgy’ awaywego. He appears to be doing it with the Unity group and with the club’s backing.

WHEN ONE OF DEEREY’S GARDEN SLUGS MET POSITIVITY DAVE!

Deerey wasn’t happy as it reminded him of that time he fell over pissed and shat himself in the OSG Donny Road End.

As ‘must win’ games go, this isn’t one of them. Would like to see one though and or least a draw. Giving Ewing a rest for Beestin might be a good call. Start Smith too.

Starbug needs to be reinstated. He’s superior to Barrows.
Must agree about their dismal commentators. Had a roomful of football intelligent people watching on DAZN.(No. It doesn’t happen all that often.) All were agreed that the commentary bias was disgraceful.

DAZN should get on top of this. If they’re charging top dollar, the least subscribers should expect is a more balanced, less biased, more intelligent than farmers league commentary. Appreciate we’re listening to local radio commentary but come on!

I think the term ‘meh’, sums up that performance. Put that to bed and move on to Saturday. Not much to be positive about tonight Dave. Dausch did well till subbed. Could come good. Pity Smith didn’t finish his excellent chance. Put himself about though and caused their defence problems. Roberts goal was a good un. That’s it.

They’re crying about Whitehall going down easily. Crying they weren’t given a free kick for an equally soft free kick claim. Humberside commentators are far more balanced and less biased. These two clowns could learn a lot from them.

Sick of these biased dullard DAZN commentators. Might turn them down second half. Excellent solo effort from Roberts. Sadly, poor save attempt from Mahady.
