Is it not at BUTLERS door that we need to keep playing Boyce, as has been mentioned many times, Butler just likes his wingers and strikers when we desperately need defence back up.
Mr. Brogan has played in defence, so get him back.

I have noticed that when we go forward, particularly against the bottom half teams, the forwards and midfielders seem to be all out attack leaving the defence exposed. Either we play a high line , which shortens the distance but we have slow centre backs so are vulnerable to the ball over the top or the Forward winning the flick. The alternative is the defence drop off but we are still vulnerable to the counter attack like against Altrincham. We seemed to have more energy or discipline in the first half of the season. We also had Dec Howe who defended from the front and made the press effective

Keep getting caught out by slow defending that high line. Butler should anticipate and recognise that. He’s the one who knows the fitness levels of players and if they have the legs to keep up with counter attacks. And if not, don’t play such a high line or get back up in. And if we can’t afford more players, defend to our strengths.

maybe Butler is happy to expose the defence in return for going on the attack. The we are going to score more than you approach. He has won four of the last five games so it’s hard to argue
