Morecambe fans don’t seem to be as tolerant with their manager.
    Abusing fans indeed!

Must be a “ club saved from the brink” thing that gives certain fans extra entitlement about their precious feelings, it’s time they either grew some bo****ks or realise if they dish it out prepare to get some back with interest.

AB’s starting eleven yesterday certainly more to do with Roberts and Ewen being unable to last a full game, the second half display once changes were made fully justifies the original starting eleven IMO. Good management good tactics means three points plus a very entertaining second half to boot, no complaints from me.

Yep if you don’t play to the conditions then you will eventually lose, bazball works well back home where we know our pitches inside out but just throwing the bat all the time will eventually get you out against the worlds best players. Could be 5-0 at this rate and with our best bowling attack in Australia for many years the batsmen are just throwing games away.

Rowley has a back problem which he’s been nursing all season according to AB post match, just shows how we miss our better players, Roberts and Ewen different class second half, deserved win and good management from Butler today.

Yeah he’ll probably prorogue parliament to avoid awkward questions like your mate Boris did over brexit, illegal of course but it didn’t bother the tories.

‘Made intelligent runs even when blowing out of his arse’

What a disturbing image. Hopefully those runs weren’t accidental.

The totalitarian Marxist state is coming along a lot quicker than even I thought.

We could always try the Don system, a jury finds them guilty he pardons them.

Strange how bill never mentions anything about the Donald being found guilty of sexual assault and business fraud, what will the good lord think of them both?

Injuries and lack of squad depth affects all teams, even the Crystal Palace manager was saying as much after his side surprisingly lost to the Mancs yesterday. I believe our recent poor run would have looked completely different if all our better players had been available.

Matty is quality and a shoo-in at this level, it’s just the degenerative knee condition that worries me.

Deffo,, haven’t been to an home game all season, sounds like 64 goes in there though.

I go in there too but it’s more in the hope Mr Threadgold might walk round and offer some of us oldies a cheap funeral plan.

I’m wondering If Dawsons previous serious injuries are not helping his fitness and along with heavier pitches arriving the rest of the season could be a struggle for him.

I suspect it’s more to do with budget then what AB see’s in them Bhuna5, good signings in Horton, Ewen , Rose and Howe is doing ok but those new good signings will have probably left the budget on the edge, the players deemed not good enough mentioned are probably what AB had to put up with to make the numbers up. As disappointing as it sounds midtable pre season was a goal most agreed was achievable and this squad when it’s struggling with injuries as it is now will probably only achieve that, good starts don’t always mean great seasons.

Thought he looked lightweight up top against Braintree and his first touch isn’t great either, bags of energy and enthusiasm but you need more than that at this level, players not stepping up is deffo a problem for AB this season.

He would have kept a clean sheet today but for a suicidal back pass that was out of his control, I think for a young keeper he has done ok so far.

Beestin and Sellars- Fleming were out on their feet and Roberts had got elbowed in the head earlier in the game. Let’s be right if we don’t get the result we want Butler will always be get it in the neck over substitutions but in truth we haven’t played well for weeks and several key players in defence, midfield and up top are missing and it shows.

They were easy worth a point if not more but our missed chances and reluctance to shoot in good positions proved very costly, not good enough basically we seem short on confidence.

Well England have only themselves to blame with another poor batting show, Aussies bowling second innings wasn’t that great we just threw a lot of our wickets away with poor technique brought on by indiscipline. Hope this isn’t a blueprint for the series because with our bowling attack I reckon we have more than half a chance to do well over there but our batters have to start backing up our excellent bowlers.

The way we have been playing lately it’s hard to predict and the uncertainty over injuries pre match doesn’t help. I will go 2-0 home win and keep my fingers crossed, it’s too bloody cold to sit through a 0-0 bore fest we need some action to keep us warm today.

Will the “Ransom Strip” be a problem or has it disappeared?

That was just DH getting confused, he actually meant his wife’s landing strip, something about a close shave but nothing to do with the ground.

Well I guess it won’t go five days lol, hugely entertaining first day with the game anybody’s, interesting fact Joe Root has never scored a century in a test in Australia, good time to start in the second innings.

The BBC were clearly in the wrong but I can’t see Trump getting a penny out of them in return, clearly a distraction tactic as you say DM, the US is heading down the toilet.

Should be entertaining watching Brown act the a**e on the touch line, mind you he is very good at it, better than his managerial skills.
