What a performance against Argentina, they were outstanding and had Argentina on their knees by the end but sadly lost.

Did you notice how they lined up against the Argentinian superstars – a very simple 4 4 2 !
Kept it simple but everyone knew their roles and they got back into position to help each other.
No walking back like some England players do.

It was great to watch and the Argies late on in extra time were rolling about after a challenge like they had been poleaxed, nothing new there. Fight, guts, spirit , determination but most important they played as a team and were very well organised, also scored the best goal of the game, brilliant stuff.

Went to bed at half time and missed all the fun. Couldn’t stay awake. Some of us have been working all week!

Just caught the highlights. Brilliant equaliser for 2-2 and loved how the keeper outsmarted Messi on that free kick. Despite his advancing years, does he fancy Lincolnshire in the winter? Call it philanthropic.

Mmmm Cape Verde versus Lincolnshire in the winter, probably more like arthritic for him.
