Poor attempt at lightening up as decreed by Mr Hiatus, who joins an illustrious club that includes reasonable types like Alcazar, Pat O’Cake and Bad Apple. Though I’m not sure even they would stoop to dropping Americanisms like ‘gotten’ instead of ‘got.

Clunan was decent enough at NLN level but needed goals to add to his game. Made the right choice not stepping up I reckon.

“Lads bantz” refers to British informal, playful teasing, mocking, or witty remarks exchanged among a group of young men. It is commonly used in social contexts, such as the “Lads Bantz Cup” in fantasy football, to describe lighthearted banter and camaraderie. The term has its roots in 19th-century UK.
Definition: Bants or bantz represents playful, often ironic, banter.
Origin: “Lads” stems from Old English, meaning a young man or fellow, with roots in Northern England and Scotland.
Usage: It is heavily linked with laddish culture and camaraderie.

It’s predominant habitat is the Iron Hour Podcast.

Also plagiarism. Noticed a similar ‘ladz bantz’ comment by someone else on social media (not wondergoals or any other name he goes by) on X last night, in relation to Roberts’ goal.

Not my words. It was a current player. Thought it was Evans but might have been a different one. His point was about the contrast, how the players are playing for the club more nowadays, not about what Hilton did or didn’t do regarding funding.

In Evans’ recent interview for Humberside, he made a point of saying how much more inspiring it is playing for a club and owner who loves the club through and through and isn’t just ‘pumping’ money in to it. Sounded like a night and day comparison to Hilton / Harness

Back to Back (5) then. Oh Dear!

I always knew a back 5 had it’s benefits, I just didn’t know what they were.
Magnificent first half performance, more please.

Neil Cox said it looked like a back four just after kick off.

I’m not optimistic and can see them scoring more than one. Predicting a 2-1 defeat.

    Delighted pessimist.

I like to spread my spending across different supermarket chains.

The global Christian stuff was a joke, but the early Easter egg sale rant stands!

‘Do you think if we do not score more AB starts to try and shut shop, but in some cases he has already made his subs which then don’t suit trying to do that ?’

    Yes, quite possibly.

Awaywego – I think the point was, the noise was about ‘getting rid’, not what actually happened in the end.

George Thomas – yes – had high hopes for him but just didn’t get going at all.

‘Mahady clanger for their first goal.’

Watson would’ve saved it. In all seriousness, how could you tell? View’s obscured on the highlights.

Late late subs isn’t anything new. Clubs have been doing it since I can remember. Is it less the action and more the quality of replacement?

How simples is it to access your meters? In our case, not very. Not that I want a smart meter mind.

Maybe one for Two Wrights, is that what Spiders (or ‘Sparders’) nightclub was named after? And, is it still going? Only went a few times in the early 90s but cracking nights out.

It’s frustrating and you would hope can be worked on (less late subs?). If I’d kept paying in to the same pension fund that I started in the 80s, I’d have retired 4 years ago. What ya gonna do?

Hopefully a better second half or the Facebook HMS Piss the League brigade will go into meltdown.
