Hopefully a better second half or the Facebook HMS Piss the League brigade will go into meltdown.

Don’t change a winning team, bar Smith maybe
The proof will be in the puddle. Sorry, pudding.
January 17, 2026 at 12:45 am in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #315391First song i played air guitar to, about 8 years old, around 1974. Something about that chugga chugga rhythm in the chorus got me. Love Aladdin Sane. Complete album. No duffers. Pretty mind blowing listening to the spectacular and bizarre piano virtuoso and reconciling it with a passage of music so many people know inside out. And slap bang in the 70s beside the Starsky & Hutch theme tune.
Our match there is now 17 Feb.
Yes, a cheap UKIP sticker.
Dale saying their new pitch is being laid on 17 Jan and will be playable 7 days later on 24th for their match v Truro. Seems an optimistic turnaround.
Was thinking earlier, I can only imagine the car park’s proximity to the stadium being attractive for trading. Just can’t envision it as a site for social housing for pensioners. Isolation and security issues, as you say, plus noise and matchday busyness making emergency routes in problematic, etc.
New owner has had to start cutting the £2.6m wage bill (incredible for a Scottish L1 club), according to the press. Sad for Accies to lose a good player but our gain and surely helps them get on a better financial footing.
That’s what I’ve alluded to. I can understand it being useful for those that have a more limited or restricted household budget / income, but thankfully not in that place (at present!).
That said our leccy costs seem incredibly high!
Lol, Vose!

I still don’t know why you think it ‘begs the question why’?’ but actually aren’t that bothered.
You said ‘it begs the question why?’. Why what?
Scottish Power offer us a smart meter every few months, almost implying it’s a necessity. Never bothered to pursue it though.
Why what?
So does that mean the reported 89% revenue includes donations, loans or ‘investments’?
Not really tempted by a smart meter. I’ve seen people with them obsessing about how much gas and electric they’re using / how much money they’re spending and I’d probably end up doing the same. Try to use as little energy as possible whilst staying comfortable and not letting the house temp drop too low. That’ll do for me.
No, but the OWS did put a story up that Max Brogan has joined Leamington but it has since been taken down.
Don’t agree this cup competition takes preference over league as we will now be playing Truro mid week, not an easy journey
Having to play a cup game on that particular day isn’t a ‘preference’, it’s just part of the competition rules.
I am a Trust member but I thought the club PotM award was separate to the Trust PotM?
On the train when it got called off, similar day like today to be honest, still playing on park pitches in Greenwich I remember.
And you say about clubs exploiting the situation lol.
Quits Deerey.Walked from Greenwich to The Valley after a few pints there. Didn’t pass any pitches along the dock road. Bloody travesty that postponement. Still never been to The Valley and was looking forward to it that day.
Absolutely crazy not to wear one today
Great performance from the Macc Lads. Demonstrates how tough National League North is to those who’ve not witnessed it. Buckley-Ricketts we know about, very handy. Big Sam Heathcote was a rock at the back. Also a dead ball expert when he gets the chance. Watched him many times over the years. Would love to see him in an Iron shirt one day. Still time.

Tell me about it. We rocked up at The Valley wondering why it was so quiet!

Fair call!
Rather than blaming the FA, point the finger at those clubs that exploit situations
Factor in the corruption opportunities too (i.e. calling off games unnecessarily due to injury pile ups) and you can see why it is what it is.
If they did that plenty would be complaining about the inaccuracies of weather forecasts.
