Sir Keith spent the whole campaign telling us a vote for anyone else was a vote for Reform, only to go and finish third.
He’s spent his entire leadership trying to crush the Left, only to successfully hollowed out the Labour party .
For decades, the “Right” has been sneering about “unelectable loons” on the Left, and now they’re sitting there wondering why nobody likes themPeople just finally been given a left-wing alternative instead of being forced to choose between Tory and “Tory. The Greens won’t be funded well enough to sustain it, all the press and sadly labour energy will go into demonising them. Just like 2017
Starmer has created a vacuum in his party by stifling internal debate and banning any “lefties” who spoke out, He’s also tried to whoo the racists instead of taking them on in debates .For Starmer politics and votes is everything and he’s lost sight of the big picture. He’s spent so long saying others are unelectable in his own party , he should probably make sure he can actually win an election himself. He’s misjudged the reform vote in the modern black and white internet age .Did he really believe that by becoming racist and fuelling anti immigrant attitudes he can beat the masters of it and take Right wing votes .Blair had Uncle Rupert the biggest media mogul in our history on his side ,the internet is like the wild west and full of echo chambers .The right saw right through him and the Left saw right through him. He’s got no voters ,no friends and no hope. He’s a dead man walking ,the only question is how wide will he open the door for the Far right before he finally quits Who are the unelectable loons now?

PS I think it’s Sir Keir.
February 28, 2026 at 10:59 am #316858Aye but he’s lost his base and the racists he chased won’t vote for him
March 2, 2026 at 8:00 am #316969Online his use of the word “defensive ” what a tool.
March 2, 2026 at 8:26 am #316970As defensive as our back line:
‘The BBC understands the US is likely to use RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean for strikes on Iranian missile sites.’

Yes, that’s what happens when Iran launch strikes at all and sundry. We weren’t initially involved, but strikes against uninvolved allies and we can defend them and their people. It doesn’t mean this is the only correct course of action, but to make a solid and reasonable argument against it, it can’t be based on nonsense about how the UK have caused the escalation.
