This forum is turning into daft laugh land the further some of these threads go, guess it’s a symptom of living under the Tories. Oh dear what have I said now 😭
You think it’s bad on here, I just looked on Scunny United fans group and Julie has lost it because someone has a different opinion.
Wonder why Patrick isn’t on there spreading the love? What could the reason be I wonder?
Okay, the Maltsmiths and the IPA draught
Maltsmiths Lager, San Miguel, Carling, East Coast IPA,John Smiths, Stowford Press Cider, Guinness, all draught.
Nitro Keg actually!
True, but most of it nicer than Iron Bar draught options. I’m surprised the subject of ‘beer’ wasn’t higher up the PR onslaught tbh. Hearts and minds are swayed by it.
If it’s a daft laugh you’re after, there’s plenty of material in Patrick’s posts yesterday. Though the one below is probably the most bizarre…
‘Mr Innocent bystander gives you so much information … er… but not his name.
Could be his wife’s father who doesn’t like him shagging his daughter… think on!’Er, okay. That makes lots of sense mate 👍 🤣
‘I hope to god you get banned off this forum, you’re a complete moron. Is your life so boring that you have to constantly post about Hilton ?’
Have you stopped to think that this person may just well be sharing this because they think it’s in the interest of Iron supporters and that of the public WG? Instead of calling for this poster to he banned, you and a few others trading insults and engaging in slanging matches might try and communicate with a bit more decorum and respect.

Imagine what this forum would be like at present if people didn’t have to set up accounts and log in every time they posted!

Ah, Patrick’s charades. Charades is supposed to be fun. Creating division in the Iron supporter base, turning them against each other, whilst simultaneously abusing them, isn’t my idea of fun. Thing is, I don’t think he’s as clever as he thinks he is. Just my opinion.

I’ve read it – good article – balanced. Might be a bit too negative in places for some to take though.
Is Turnball still around?

I might pop to Ilkeston on the way home! ;-)
Clearly you’re not afraid to look success in the face; unlike some of us who are apparently bottlers…innit ;)

Yes, I was aware Daz, via your Twitter account. I would imagine a fair number on here are aware of your role too. All the best for tomorrow – exciting stuff!

Insightful stuff Daz. Makes a lot of sense.
I think that’s a fair summary Ferrite.
‘Something we seldom see these days at GP!’

Hmm, I think a post from a certain someone may bè incoming. I’ll get in first and declare Ferrite isn’t a troll!

Taking him on his word till that time. If it’s not an issue, then I’m sure we can look forward to the club being taken forward with plans and actions that benefit the long term future of SUFC, but that don’t worry a large section of wary supporters, in the meantime.
Calling longstanding Iron supporters trolls and the other abuse is out of order, end of. Not helpful, divisive and inappropriate, to put it politely.

I think the most sensible and reasoned post on the other thread yesterday was from Siderite (no surprise there). Sums up the current situation best IMO. What I will say is, things had settled down over the last few days and certain posts are creating more division. But, it’s a forum, people are here to express opinions.
Like it or not I-A, it clearly isn’t having seen both AP01s. Saying nothing more, nothing less. Make your own minds up. It’s not a conspiracy theory either before you go down that road. Is it helpful? Open to debate. That’s all people want. All this demonising and put downs of longstanding supporters (can’t vouch for Innocent Bystander) with legit concerns isn’t helpful
Agree with all Lks post apart from the ‘corruption’ bit.
‘The fact that some of these ‘terrible’ managers have proven themselves by being successful elsewhere, is a case in point.’
And players. I think it points to deeper problems under the previous ownership with those that have gone on to succeed elsewhere. Past is the past, any new manager should be judged without reference to how other managers were hired and fired under the previous tenure IMO
He sold the club, stadium and land, that’s not asset stripping.
