Well argued. Some may say the points being raised about this are from ‘the usual suspects’ but it’s clearly a sizeable and warranted concern. We were told to shut up during Hilton’s rein, and look where that would have got us.

Don’t mind a bit of fruitcake, with a smattering of butter.

‘it’s more factual than Iron Hour and Iron Army, as in how we lose points in injury time.’

Is it actually more factual? I haven’t listened to Iron Hour for a long time but Butler did say they are occasionally critical and he doesn’t mind that. I suspect he might be making an inference between some of Matt Ellis’s more extreme criticisms on X this season and Iron Bru in general. Certainly nothing too extreme on the Iron Bru podcasts he should be getting upset about. Tend to concur with 64 – there’s something a bit Animal Farm regarding the Club (Inc Butler) and their attitude to Bru (in general) and the Trust and the elevated status of others and other groups. Perceived ‘boat rockers’ don’t seem welcome. That’s not healthy. But if so, even more reason for a truly independent supporter entity to exist.

Given he has been the only fit centre back at the club for the last few weeks it’s hardly surprising he has been playing.
For an older pro having to play 2 games a week in a team who’s midfield has gone pretty much AWOL the old fella has not done too badly. Did we not just win 3 games in the last week despite 25 hours sitting on a bus?

I think that’s fair. In an ideal world, he could have been rotated and rested a bit.

Is there an echo? There’s a key point missing in your chamber; I haven’t said he should be in the starting eleven. The fact the club hasn’t recognised the problem sooner and addressed it isn’t the player’s fault. That’s relevant, like it or not.

It’s nonsense but I’ve seen posts on X by Matt Ellis to the sufcofficial account calling certain players “shite” and saying “get them out of the club now”.
Bigging up Iron Hour and the positivity fella are an easy way for Butler to hit back.

For my sins, I listened to the interview. The over the top praise of some supporters and groups and the absence of others was ham fisted IMO. Defended Butler a lot regarding on field matters but personally find that particular ‘tangent’ Ollie referred to as disappointing and misguided. Positivity Dave wasn’t around during the Hilton era. Don’t know what he’d have made of the rightful questioning and criticisms but I’ve got a pretty good idea (see Stuart’s and others reaction and behaviour from that time).

Does all this ‘positivity’ allow for any critical thinking whatsoever? I’m all for being positive but if doesn’t allow any questioning, it’s not healthy.

‘Anyway nice to see that the word Dodgy is allowed again when it suits the mods’

It really is that simple, even you should be able to understand. One Dave has a proven history of fraud, the other one doesn’t (or any history of being ‘dodgy’) so your accusations were baseless and removed. Get it?

Went on an initial month loan. It worked out and both clubs have agreed he can stay till season end on a 24 hour recall. Only you creating a big drama out it awaywego. Mind boggles how you’re nitpicking about this but were prepared to let many of dodgy Dave’s howlers slide. You’re still defending him on other threads for goodness sake.

Look at the video and give me the points where it misrepresents evolution. I wait for an intelligent reply that destroys the thesis presented.

    That should sell it

Boyce needs putting out to grass .. just ok NLN but too old n slow for NL

How many more times are people going to pick out our captain who has already said on air weeks ago that he’s retiring end of the season and went in to some detail about his future plans outside football? He is going. His choice. He knows he’s done. End of. Give the guy a break. On the whole he’s been a good servant.

How many players constitutes an ‘overhaul’ Phil? 5? 7? 10?

I think 7 – 2 mobile CB’s are needed and hopefully 1 of them a leader/organiser. The other 5 should be easy to find can think of 4 already.

I assume Ewing is leaving. It’s a key position. Anyone in mind to replace him?

If Ewing can continue his recent form pick up he might actually be able to start spraying balls around again from midfield?
