They’ve done all the audience with gigs so someone at SUFC is happy with them.

Might be the Geordie version??
Actually CMC Winterton is now part of the Scunthorpe constituency since the last election
As i said, News to me, i thought they might have been put with Brigg or Barton.
Not sure where the CODs are getting information about our ticket sales from as we cannot find out ourselves about them, probably more close season bullshit I’m guessing, who knows who cares what codheads think anyway.
If you go on their forum, they’ve got a thread on Us, Hull and Lincoln pinned at the top. Only one missing is Grimsby’s most popular team, Liverpool.
Well a certain person has got an award from Scunthorpe’s MP, I didn’t know Winterton was part of the same constituency.
What’s the award and I presume you are referring to SM?
An award for the MP’s volunteers week.

£13,000 in one night is excellent, puts Unity Group and Positivity Dave in the shade.
The retainment announcement made it sound like he had signed an extension, so that is very poor communication from the club. After last season, I had worried that fans would get the jitters and the club needed good communication to keep up the good feeling. However, we have been met with the usual radio silence aalong with misleading information about players.
The club only seem happy with the fans to be part of the Positivity Dave happy clap; anything more is met with disinterest and questions met with disdain. It’s not good enough and this isn’t meant to slag off Positivity Dave. He has his place for people who like that, but we also need to know the club has a long term plan for improvement. We do want league football eventually. Leaving us to some smart videos with Iron Hour or Positivity Dave good vibes will only get you so far.
Don’t criticize PD, 64 will be straight onto you?
No mention of Dion Semble-Ferris?
Cleveland Taylor, Cal Roberts,Martyn Woolford, Matty Sparrow. All exciting wingers

Scunny have congratulated them on Social media, going to be some miserable sods complaining
Better them than another London and South East Club!
I’m going out on a limb here but I think apart from 4 or 5 posters nobody else on here gives a monkeys what the fraudster is up to at Matlock or anywhere else.
Well, they’ve never given away free Bacon Rolls.
Oh well, never mind.
Ryan Cresswell back again as manager
Any comments on SUFG? Hiltons heroes re-enacting?
Graham Drury the new manager. He’s done alright at Stamford but not as much as they would like you to believe. Sounds familiar
Aaaaand he’s gone
Requested to leaveVOF is one of those tick box S**** ideas a company rolls out to employees saying “we care about you as a contributor and we listen to your views”
And a month later “look at what we did”
May 13, 2026 at 11:41 am in reply to: Football Governance Bill, The Iron Trust and Puppet fans Group #320742Mariners Trust is the biggest Supporter group over there, afaik.

Work seems to be being done by a company called “Turf Solutions”.
Not sure if the two traveller type caravans at the rear of the DRE are anything to do with them.
Little bird told me they’ve laser levels, and have discovered a 150mm slope. Not quite OSG, but interesting.
Sneaked a photo from the DRE eastern egress, but unsure how to post it?Quick search they’re from Market Harborough and have done a few golf courses

South Shields bottled it again.
Should we try and sign Paul Blackett?Would he leave the North East?
Club Statement time.
Matlock Town Football Club can confirm that our owner, Mr Hilton, invested £20,000 into the ladies setup this season.
Late in 2025, we were notified that the Ladies First Team Manager had stepped down due to personal health issues. The Ladies section Treasurer also stepped down at the same time.
Following this, Mr Hilton informed the Development Squad that the club’s current infrastructure could not support the administrative requirements of running a Men’s First Team (our main revenue generator), alongside two ladies sides. As a result, the Development Squad would need to operate sustainably and independently for the 2026/27 season. The Ladies Development Squad Manager was notified of this in November 2025.
The club has provided ongoing financial and administrative support throughout the season, along with guidance to help the squad become fully self-sufficient. This has been successfully achieved, and the Development Squad will continue next season on a standalone basis.
After the First Team Manager’s departure, Mr Hilton appointed a new manager and continued to provide significant financial support to the Ladies First Team.
This included covering the costs of training venues, kits, balls, match pitches (due to our own pitch being unavailable for large parts of the season because of poor weather), all FA fees and fines, and even a coach for their FA Cup away trip.
Club staff, including the Club Secretary and an accounts assistant, also handled all administrative paperwork for the team.
Unfortunately, the Ladies First Team has been relegated to a lower level of the pyramid, where all clubs are self-funded, independently administered, and typically run by volunteers with funding from sponsors and player subscriptions.
After discussions with the current management team (who themselves receive expenses from the main club), they have confirmed they are unable to continue operating the side without the club’s ongoing financial and administrative support. While the option to continue on a fully sustainable, independent basis (as was the case prior to Mr Hilton’s investment) was offered, it has not proved viable.
We can also confirm that the club has not received a single penny in external funding, sponsorship, or grants for the ladies section.
We are deeply saddened by the false information being circulated on social media by one of our players’ mothers.
Matlock Town Football Club remains committed to the long-term development of all sections of the club and thanks everyone who has supported the ladies teams this season.
Club have just posted on FB it started this week, Bru asking the important questions as usual
Apart from Adkins, Robins, McCall and whatever the used car salesman played, we only appoint former defenders as managers…
