Doubt many got to the end, Rene has too much time on his hands.
Who or what is GPT btw?It was Gurney Cass, keep up.
Oh I’m sure there’s an experienced wage thief keeper happy to come in, sit on the bench and try and look interested, we’ve had em before over the years in outfield positions.
Must be old age with you Ironawe, fixture release day one of the most anticipated days of the year along with the fa cup draw well for most fans anyway.
Plus the opening day means footy is back.Footy is back, what a joke it’s rammed down your throats 24/7 with sky sports, European Championships, club championships and blah blah blah. There isn’t a close season anymore and as for the Iron I luv em to bits but the three month break away from it all is welcome to me and always has been, plus I do have other things going on in my life apart from football ad nauseam. Just an opinion if some of you want to cream your undies over a few football fixtures and pre season friendlies well I’m happy for ya.
Stu! That’s more of a thick soup then a name dear.
Couldn’t care less about who we get on opening day, home or away, win lose or draw we will have another 45 games after it anyway, big deal it’s always over hyped and means nowt in context to a full season.
Ah I see, hope he wasn’t too cross about the opposition not believing in him after all.
Norrie’s unbelievable fitness ( the experts reckon he’s the fittest pro on tour and he has extra large lungs apparently) and his ability to just keep returning the ball over long periods in rallies are his best chance, try and wear Alcaraz down. Having said that Alcaraz is just an astonishing player and still only 22, he maybe is the only player who may eventually supercede Djokovic as the greatest player of all time, a tough gig for Norrie but I’ll be rooting for him.

Where did God finish or did his chain snap?
The clean sheets over two seasons is extraordinary enough, I reckon an OK keeper would have been nowhere near the consistency of Ross IMO.
I realise you had twigged Rene but these people just don’t research things properly unless it’s Liverpool or Man U.

Well it was a two year stint in the National League North not three and last week one of these excellent non league papers reckoned Jimmy Dean was still our manager, best ignored they can’t get basic facts right never mind giving tips on whose favourites to go up.
I noticed that CR10 didn’t feature on Friday night.
Still not fully recovered from last season’s injury according to AB after the game as is Beck and Barrows and Denton not risked on an artificial pitch. All part of pre season working your way back from knocks or injuries received towards the end of the last campaign.
Norrie has been excellent in his Wimbledon matches so far, hope he has a good run, Djokovic so far has looked the better of the top players in the men’s draw, can he win it again at 38?
Is God on one of the teams or are his hands full making the French countryside more beautiful?
No info has been published but WG will be right, he always is.
Says the guy who spits the dummy when anyone pulls his leg, lol.
Well we need and will get another keeper in for cover before the season starts but I’m not basing my assessment of Campbell on a kick about against Bottesford Town and neither should others it’s hardly fair IMO.

…. pathetic non sensical response not question.
No lynch mob just asking you to answer a question put to you by NI, just say it was a daft question to mention Alfie’s wage negotiations when you haven’t a clue and just come out and say you don’t care for Alfie as a player and want him gone. If that’s what you really feel just say it but don’t wrap it up in a pathetic non sensical question.
People have a certain way of wording a post which is thinly disguised about what they think about a certain player, then again some are blatantly obvious so why don’t they just come out and say it.
Just watched the highlights and as said above, they don’t give you confidence. Bottesford keeper actually looked better.
Can’t have looked that much better he conceded four goals, our lad conceded none, match facts are a reasonably accurate guide in most cases.

Butler said the players barely had two days yet with a football since coming back for preseason, he will have done hardly any keeper work with Mussy since coming back, it will be practice and routines all the players will need to get sharp again. He’ll be fine just chill out and give him a chance FFS.

Maybe that’s what fits the budget – for now. Or he has improved?
Maybe we could have afforded a decent NL Keeper instead of spending a large chunk on Beestin…
Privy to Alfie’s contract negotiations were you?
Was you?
He asked a question if you can’t answer it just say so.
No one on this thread is desperate to get one far from it NI.
Im just being the good steward I’ve always been and thinking of other people.
Id really rather encourage fans not to buy any club merchandise whatsoever the overpriced tat it is.
Good steward, I heard you were a bar steward, my mistake.
Worse fears realised last night at Bottesford friendly.
Yep absolutely terrible only managing to keep a clean sheet.

Why do you have to bring your imaginary fantasy being into almost every thread on here bill?, you are so boring it’s pathetic.

Never get this anti Beestin line trotted out by some, yeah it’s all about opinions and in mine Beestin was excellent for us last season and certainly was the fittest he has ever been for us, he got a knock towards the last quarter of the campaign but so did Whitehall, that’s just the nature of football but Alfie’s fitness helped him through the injury late on and he like Whitehall contributed massively towards the end despite both playing with injuries strapped up.

Been using Carvers for years, still the best in town IMO but Steele’s in Cleggy are a different level again IMO.
Seems to work at bigger grounds with bigger pitch areas at the sides, not sure how the narrow track round the AA would cope with extra balls on cones, probably spend half their time getting knocked off with players or the match ball just bashing into the cones causing delays rather than save time.
Wasn’t Eastwood on loan here back in the Swan era, reckon he was?
