Are we back on the bpg video club again?
Is this 64 click bait? He might struggle to narrow it down to one.
If we’re being facetious can I nominate Robbie Savage. He’s a tool but he’s an okay bloke really.
Heard a rumour it might be extended.
Suppose they’ll have no midweek game next week so can get behind fielding as strong a side as possible
I think Carlisle were treated with respect. Don’t know the reasons for benchng them. But yes, Hughes may have assumed that, rather than it being simply rotation. Different conversation had TSF and Dawson shone and bagged a few.
If it had been laid earlier it would have allowed more time for rooting and more remedial time before season start. All roads lead back to the Weekender IMO.
Not an easy one is it – deciding how many to rest, for how many minutes, balanced with needing the money and progression. Fingers crossed to be out of sight by half time. Can’t see it though. KL will throw everything at it.

Surely won’t happen again after last season’s Weekender fiasco and now James is GM.
Aye, forget supposed ‘goalkeeping crisis’ and any issues with Whitehall, at this rate the pitch could be ‘Nightmare on Jack Brownsword Way’ before Christmas.
I know we could do with a good cup run but a fair number of regular starters could do with a day off for rest and recuperation for the next set of league challenges.

Played a lot of games in a short Space of time. Looked lethargic. Their keeper puts our apparent ‘goalkeeping crisis’ so far in the shade, it needs night vision goggles.
‘I don’t think we’ve shipped more than 2 in a game’
And only shipped two, once, I think, against Sutton?
Just giving a counterpoint to the more unjustified stuff awaywego. Little of it on here though tbf. I’m not suggesting our keeper’s don’t have flaws btw, no one’s perfect.
They were in some supporters firing line, let alone shop window, as soon as their names were mentioned. Sorry, I’ll try and resist from amplifying this situation borne out of agendas.
Both those claims are from Matt E on the last two Bru podcasts MKI. Are you a listener? The last Iron Hour podcast was more reasonable about our keeper situation (thought it worth enduring the bantz and lad jokes to see if any of t’other lot are also losing their heads about it-it appears not).
Probably misread the post about Carlton. I thought it was a suggestion to play him tonight. Nothing against him starting v KL. I certainly wouldn’t call him ‘shit’ or suggest loaning him out to ‘The Dog & Duck’ though.
Can agree with most of that but Carlton’s not done enough to merit a start IMO Phil.
Totally TJO. This is the main reason I’m making a point about it. It seems to be an obsession bordering on phobia. When people trying to make a point resort to filibustering and swearing, and contradicting themselves about whether an U19 loan keeper is a better option, it’s a pretty good indication their argument is weak. If any supporter spends chunks of the game worrying about the next cross coming in, it probably says more about them than anyone else. Up until Saturday, Rory had barely put a foot wrong. Maison before that too. For my sins I view X but don’t post anymore. It’s a vipers nest. Same with the FB group. I save my Iron ranting for Bru, sadly for Bru viewers ;)

Well with all them posts I believe you’ve convinced yourself Deerey.
I don’t need convincing awaywego, and others can make their own minds up. I’m mainly responding to the two man crusade (supported by a gaggle of followers) on X to crucify both Watson and Campbell and to Matt Ellis’s comments on the last two Bru podcasts – latest one here: https://www.iron-bru.co.uk/podcast-the-elephant-in-the-room/. No one’s denying Rory had a pretty poor game but I really don’t think this lobbying to have them replaced is merited or justified. The situation is not that bad in my opinion. I think it’s over the top and unnecessary. To claim we have a ‘goalkeeping crisis’ is utterly absurd.

DM66 where’s the talk of Watson being in no man’s land?
FB?Not FB, X mainly, in the ‘oh no he’s at it again!’ comments that seem follow any defensive error some are eager to blame the keepers for. Usually within seconds of the error.
There’s talk of Watson being in ‘no man’s land’. No keeper is getting that ball and if he’d stayed on his line it would have been belted past him anyway and he’d be accused of being ‘Dracula’ again. I’ll say this aswell, no amount of filibustering, exasperated swearing, saying how frustrated you are as you peer in to your crystal ball means everyone else sees it the same. In fact, I’d wager the majority of fans don’t.
I’ll add to that, if it was such a big issue, why did Ollie not raise it as a possible keeper error in his post match interview with Butler? Never shy of asking tough questions is Ollie. Unless there was nothing to legitimate to raise?
Trying be fair here. It would be harsh not to be wouldn’t it? Unless you had an agenda like.
I blame Swann and Hilton for relegation to NLN, more than the playing and coaching staff.

Well deserved. Does that mean the old CEO post is no more given James is now GM?
Not sure he’ll be playing. Doesn’t seem to have been in the squad since early September
One of Roberts’ many big achievements
A refreshing take on it, without the need for disparaging and disrespectful sleights.

It nipped out with Matt E to the Dog & Duck and came back with a world class goalkeeper.

I’ll go for a 2 nil bounce back
