Insane it is. Some folk have lost their heads with an obsession. Thankfully it doesn’t appear to be the majority and is mainly confined to the internet

We were up and at em first part of the first half okay, then let them bully their way back in to it and the ref got card happy.
Heard from a unreliable source they visit Bru.
There is. It’s because impressionable people are suckers for it.
What else do you think they do with all that spare time? At the very least one of the many staff may well have said ‘ere Maison, there’s a thread dedicated to you on here’
‘Whitehall should always be first on the team sheet now’
Was he ready and fit to start? I assumed not
He’s not perfect, who is? Before his injury he was starting to look the part and improving. Constant online heckling won’t help him. Shooting him and shooting ourselves in the foot with all this demotivation. Not once have his ardent critics highlighted any of his positives. Just shining a light on the obvious negative aspects. Neither he nor Rory are Meslier league blunderers.
‘Carlisle had a composed confident Goalkeeper’
Apart from the couple of occasions he flapped and looked as out of position as you’ve accused Rory of being.
We definitely missed Rowley.
Agreed. Suspected that might be the case the way he’s been bossing and dictating games, breaking up the opposition and picking out runners with precision. That said, I thought the new lad did well, no disrespect to him.
Definitely not one of Rory’s best games but he’s not the reason we lost today. This obsessive singling out of the keepers is way past ridiculous and unjustified. We’ve only conceded more than one twice this season. Look at the table. An objective non Iron observer would think some of our fans are losing the plot.

Debatable if the goal was all down to Watson. It was another long ball that should have been defended better? Yes, maybe he’s somewhat at fault but won’t deserve the stick he gets for it and won’t be the reason we lose the game, should that be the case
Bit of player rotation going on. Dec and Dan only on the bench. Rowley not in the squad.
Rowleys serving a one match ban.
Got a lot of time for Matt’s views and love the podcast but I just think he’s better than that. Bell rightly got pelters for his classless ‘cheap option’ remark on Butler’s appointment. I don’t see the Dog & Duck remark that disimilar in disrespect.

Having just listened to the latest Bru podcast, it’s disappointing and disrespectful from Matt Ellis to suggest Campbell is nowhere near good enough for this level or NLN and should be loaned out to the Dog & Duck. Suggesting the Directors show some class by staying off the pitch at York immediately after the classless Dog & Duck remark is galling.

We wouldn’t be where we are now had the ‘Butler Out’ brigade had their way last season so why there’s a frequent need to undermine and criticise his decision making is baffling. ‘It’s all opinion’ some might say, but it’s more than opinion when it’s prominent on social media. That’s just heckling and can’t do any good.

With this bit of a hoo har about keepers rumbling on, I’m sticking to what I said post match about it above. The goal Mahady conceded wasn’t too disimilar to the one Rory conceded a few games back and as noted by some, one game is hardly a yardstick to judge his long term capability over Watson and Campbell. Unless their detractors are watching all three at training every day like Butler is.

‘having to rely on Radio Humberside online for match commentaries.’
Not a bad deal though, particularly when Torps joins Olllie. Far superior to any opposition commentary I’ve heard.
I think Rowley is close to that player hairy cammack, but with more skill and speed than that tank like player. That said ‘Erwing’ and Beestin are battlers too. No old skool midfield general needed. Them days are over.
No reason to believe they will score more than one (does anyone?), and I foresee at least two goals from us. 2-1 Iron.
So often bottled it last few years in front of massive crowd.Testament to the players and coaching/ management. The change started under Butler

I’d wager Campbell or Watson would have been getting stick last night had either been playing and conceded that goal if York had gone on to equalise. In fact, I’d guarantee it.
Some wrote him whilst he was recovering from long Covid. Thankfully the club stuck with him.
That last goal was a huge relief. The dread was rife by before that. Headlines being written: ‘We was robbed’.
‘yeah but, no but…’. Jimmy who?
It’s a huge improvement on ‘Jimmyball’ – whatever that deluded notion of football was.
