Andy lives up to the Yorkshire stereotype. A Yorkshireman is never wrong.

Of course you get it wrong Andy. All managers buy a few princess and usually a few more dogs. Impossible to not buy dogs at this level and without a top budget.

Definite winners for Butler are Ewing, Rowley and it’s looking like Horton. Starbuck, Rose, Belahoun,Howe and S-F looking OK so far.

Eze, Chadwick, Brogan, Dawson, Beck and Carlton might have been OK for mid table NLN but none of the have shown they can play at National League level.

Not a bad hit rate Andy so stop being so sensitive about the one’s that have not worked out. Roll the dice again and let’s see if we can hang on to 7th place by our fingertips and then have our best 11 fit for the playoffs.

Butler a dickhead with the charm of a bull in a china shop.

Can’t agree with this, as he seems generally pleasant and personable. He’s done a pretty good job so far, all told, on a shit budget. He does, however, seem to struggle with his wider relationship with supporters. A bit of booing and frustration is always going to arise. Talking about it in a radio interview after it’s been quite mild doesn’t bode well for those times (which will surely come) when the team is on its arse and people really ‘let rip’. He has to learn quickly to shoulder it better, imho.

To be fair to him, I don’t often think it’s a case of digging his heels in and going all out with the “I’m not wrong”. I think it’s more likely that he’s trying to walk a difficult line between having a shit budget and not slagging the owners off for giving him a shit budget, knowing how rough things have been behind the scenes and what it has taken to get this far, and hoping supporters temper their expectations a little bit and recognise that we’ve probably over-achieved.

If he was a Yorkshire stereotype he wouldn’t need a budget, they don’t like spending money. (Allegedly)

Generally pleasant and personable, what like mouthing off and pointing Bhuna out on Saturday.
Didn’t go unnoticed that midway through the challenging time for him last year all of a sudden the prize of 2 places on team coach were dropped and never reinstated not that it costs anything extra to take them mind, to me the only man to stop that was Butler (obviously Deerey will take issue not having verbal or video evidence)
You bet he struggles with a wider relationship with fans half the games last season he didn’t come on the pitch to acknowledge the fans whether it be win lose or draw and especially away when fans had travelled, just a common courtesy for managers.

Busy at mo renovating an old property for my retirement so not posting as much …but heres my ten bobs worth while im on SOBER AND WITHOUT SOAP IN MY EARS

Carisle,FGR,Southend,Rochdale and my tip for champs York city … all ex FL sides with bigger squads and bigger budgets. BW are looking great and certainly be up there come end of season.

IMO .. the current SUFC squad lacks depth with too many players not NL standard and when the players that are of NL level are missing like Ewing WH Roberts Evans etc it shows .. performances have dropped and loosing touch with those above making Atly away and Hartlepool big games, i aint no posivity Dave and prefer to stay within the realms of reality so still predicting a mid table finish unless some of the dead wood is removed and replaced by better.

AND Im gonna say it .. not a fan of AB and im sure as form declines his mud slinging spats at paying fans with an alternative view will intensify.
Football management is a fickle career and this months hero can so easily be looking at next months situations vacant ads .. so for those fans suggesting Michelle should tie in him down with a longer contract i say not on your Nelly.

Alty away .. if still without Ewing Evans WH and maybe Roberts plus a rather impotent attack (Howes miss was a shocker) then its gonna be another tough watch.

No easy games in this league and maybe we underestimated Braintree and hope the 4 sub masterstroke was noted by AB , alas we dont have that impact player quality on the bench.

    UTI as ever.

Pretty fair assessment IFA, especially the football management how many managers get promotion only to loose their job early into the next season.
Makes you why they don’t settle for nearly and just stay up and around the promotion places instead while keeping their owners reasonably happy.

I notice a lot of our drunk/coked up under armour wearing types love “Jimmy”.
They should spend their money on Underarm deodorant instead and join the human race.As far his twitter,if you believe it was his account,it’s impossible for me to think anyone would find him pleasant

I agree with Awaywego, and i think Boreham Wood will be at least in the playoffs, the best footballing side i have seen this season at Glanford Park. A decent friendly manager too, especially joining in with Hi Ho scun United before the game started !
So if Boreham Wood are in the play offs with a limited budget, probably lower than ourselves, we should be too.
Do listen to The interview with the Braintree manager, he talked a lot of sense and the 4 subs was genius.
Away at Altrincham, players missing, can see an iron loss.
Then next home game Tom Tonks Tamworth, a home loss very possible, can we say ‘ WHAT’S GOING ON ? ‘

Didn’t stay around long enough to see, everyone was soaked through to the bone, he’d have got a lot worse had it been dry that’s for sure.
The fans certainly deserve better than what was on show today, don’t think anyone can argue with that.

Fans having a meltdown in the other site wanting a refund
Anyone would would have thought we’d lost 5-0 and still bottom
Anyone who thinks it deserves refund hasn’t been much in the last few years
That was a game we were very unlucky not to win or even draw
Fourth goal was only because we pushed keeper up

The skinny runt that Butler got into it with was ranting like a looney, Buter needs to pick his arguments better .The one I saw last week, unlike Bhuna on here, was not having a pop at Butler .

But we could so easily have lost that game BOTN18 by a huge score. We conceded four but could, so easily, have been five down at half time.

All be it from afar i am an SUFC FAN 100% ..i dont even look or care at any other scores unless i see the Cods have been thrashes .. i am however NOT a fan of Butler as i find his in game choices poor and his post match interviews even worse especially his penchant for slagging off fans who have a differing opinion nd choose to voice it.

Sad to say i am becoming less interested in my hometown club as the weeks n months tick by .. far too many delusional fans being given a dose of reality.

I cant wait to see how local celebrity POSITIVITY DAVE spins this capitulation on its head LOL

I’d be careful not to frame criticism of the manager’s demeanour as an attempt to chase him out.

Must be a “ club saved from the brink” thing that gives certain fans extra entitlement about their precious feelings, it’s time they either grew some bo****ks or realise if they dish it out prepare to get some back with interest.

Dish it out! all the man said was go and acknowledge they fans, not to much to ask surely.
And what he got in reply was “shut the f up”
Much the same as Bhuna got from Butler, just not good enough.

There’s an unwritten rule that was once inscribed on a tablet of stone up Mount Sinai… extirpated by the wind, snow & rain.

Thou must respect, applaud & honour travelling supporters!

Says the proper fan who doesn’t go to home games to support the club financially because he has a chip on his shoulder with the club owners and how the club is run because it’s not his way, proper fan indeed.

You’ve proved over many years posting on this forum exactly what you are and IMO it’s not a proper fan but you think whatever you like, it’s still a free country as AB proves when he tells people shouting abuse to shove it, quite right too.
