Ok, I get it. I’d like it too.
However, if you’ve only got X to spend on a keeper… how are you going to fund 4X ?

Are supporters going to put their hands in their pockets and subsidise Keeper4X’s wages?

The best of luck to Cam Norrie this afternoon.

Being a Newcastle United supporter I can’t see us converting him.

However, Alcaraz has amassed £30M by the age of just 22 – I wonder if he’d like to purchase an English football club.

What would the entire entity including the stadium & training pitch & car parks cost him?

    Dear Carlos

    My name is…

I’m guessing he fits the budget?

    Goalkeeper budget = X

Is a 2X keeper twice as good as an X keeper?

Is a 4X keeper four times better than an X keeper.

If we could have afforded to keep the National Leagues Keeper of the year then I’m sure we’d have made every effort to do so?

Stage 3 finished a short while ago. It ended with Merlier pipping Milan in a photo finish – winning ‘distance’, probably a centimetre; two at most.

Yesterday’s yellow jersey, who was today wearing the green jersey (top sprinter) was wiped out by a couple of muppets who were trying to make a name for themselves at the intermediate sprint.

Philipsen suffered a suspected broken collar bone in the crash and is now out of the Tour.

There was another crash with about 3.5km to go and a third one on the final turn in to the finishing straight.

So, I lost Philipsen in the first crash and another of my riders, Remco Evenepoel was brought down in the second crash.

A low scoring points day for me today in the ‘fantasy tour’ due to the carnage.

I’ve dropped down to 1,056 in the world from yesterday’s ranking of 196 in the world.

A disaster of a day for me.

Wishing Jasper Philipsen a speedy & complete recovery. He must be absolutely gutted – as he looked to be on fire and a massive contender this year.

Non League Paper – 16th June

Who Are The Favourites to Go Up from the 2025/2026 National League?

    Scunthorpe
Newcomers, Scunthorpe, are perhaps the most surprising name on the list, as they’ll be making their return to the league after a 3-year stint in the National League North.

However, the odds suggest they may have a chance of pulling an underdog story and making it through to promotion on their first try. With a 10/1 chance of upsetting the big boys, it won’t be lost on the fans and players what they stand to gain if they can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

    did I miss something?

We can’t play on our pitch yet which massively hinders due to us delaying the repair work for that stupid music event which we made no profit on.

Do we now know that we didn’t make any profit from it? I’ve not looked for any info about it tbh.

Norrie plays the Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry in R4.
Both turn 30 this year but have only clashed on one previous occasion, which was way back in 2018.
Jarry won that match in Miami: 7-6, 6-2
Norrie will play either Alcaraz or Rublev in the QF if he secures the win.

    8 riders per fantasy team.
Each stage you can nominate one of your riders to win the stage and secure a bonus.
A good day for me today.

I wish Marc Beck good health and a successful season in the year ahead.
Lineker had a period where he didn’t know where the back of the net was.
Let’s back Beck and hopefully he’ll come good!

“It’s football Jim, but not as we know it.” – Star Trekkin, The Firm.

Will we need “new balls” inflated to the correct pressure & weight at half time?

Will the “ball receivers” be allocated a tin of WD40 to negate the oppositions long throw?

When do you think the game will go completely ‘non contact’ thus allowing for mixed teams and ‘equality’ to grace the fields of dreams?

Will we see teams then having to field a quota of female players – 3 would be a good starter to fulfil the development of the people’s game?

Congratulations to the SA born Cameron Norrie on his victory over the 12th seed.
Moved to England from NZ aged 16, then went to Uni in USA aged 18 – now resides in Monaco.
We’ll take what we can – Scottish & Welsh parentage.

We ought to be looking at getting first year Pros from the likes of Hull, Sheff W & U in on season long loans.
2 from each club and we’d be laughing… ‘recruitment’ done.

The point is, that 19 of 24 L2 teams have played in the NL / Conference in the last 30 odd years.
    2 up, 2 down – protectionism.
Let’s shake it up – freedom of movement. Let a few more pigs stick their snouts in the trough!
    I’d go 4 up & 4 down to/from the Prem too … though it won’t happen.
Let’s slosh some of that luvly green stuff amongst more teams.
Though to be honest, I ain’t that bothered what they do – no real interest in what the FA & EFL do.
    Jobs for the boys, protectionism.
Time the big boys flew the coop and went and played in the much talked about and false started Euro Super League.
It’d be ‘funny’ seeing a ‘Brentford’ or a ‘Sunderland’ winning the Prem League.

4 down from L2 and 4 up from the NL. Make the NL in to L3.
Same promo/relo format for the new L3.
Reform a new NL from the NLN & NLS.
Be good for football if it was to happen for season 2026-27.
