Anyone watched any of it?
June 24, 2025 at 5:34 pm #306084Not a second of it.
Not many Americans pitching up to watch it either.
We might look back on this joke of a tournament as the moment so called top level football disappeared up it’s own greedy backside.
June 24, 2025 at 8:02 pm #306085Its all about the money and always will be, while the Arabs keep offering prize money like they have teams will keep turning up.
No doubt we will enter that shity National league cup given the chance. It’s all about the money!

June 25, 2025 at 7:31 am #306087Absolute waste of time. Our players have been playing since last August, how are they going to cope for a full season starting in a matter of weeks
June 25, 2025 at 8:56 am #306089I’m sure the poor, precious boys will be comforted by the wads of cash.
June 25, 2025 at 11:47 am #306092Read a report of Bayern thrashing Auckland City 10-0 early in the tournament then promptly forgot about it until now
June 25, 2025 at 4:00 pm #306110I want to know how Chelsea got the nod over clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal & Man Utd?

June 25, 2025 at 4:38 pm #306113Haven’t been watching any of that nonsense. England U21s V Holland on C4 might be worth a watch though.
June 25, 2025 at 5:30 pm #306115Been enjoyable watch England U21’s the last week or so, entertaining stuff to knock out Spain last round and currently playing well against the Netherlands in the semifinal ( kiss of death no doubt ).
June 25, 2025 at 5:34 pm #306117Red Bull Salzburg – (Austria) Ninth best non-Champions League winners
LOL!

Harvey Elliott just scored a cracker for young England, hopefully final bound.

June 28, 2025 at 8:53 pm #306165Good first half in the final with England 2-1 ahead, Germany pulling one back in stoppage time but overall England have been better and could have been more in front, interesting second half in prospect, come on England.
June 29, 2025 at 12:09 am #306166Missed the extra time winner as I was watching Neil Young’s Glastonbury set but what a great result for the young Lions and thoroughly deserved for their overall performances during the tournament. Always tough against Germany but it always feels good to beat them, well done young England.
July 1, 2025 at 8:59 pm #306245Who won it?
July 8, 2025 at 7:27 pm #306620Seen that Carlisle have declined entry to the National league cup.
Hopefully in the coming days the club will give us their position on where we stand.
Not a criticism of the club by the way.July 8, 2025 at 8:31 pm #306626We should enter it,we should respect where we got ourselves
July 8, 2025 at 8:51 pm #306629Anyone watched any of it?
No.
How did we get on? lolJuly 10, 2025 at 11:27 am #306695Butler has said he’s open to entering the NL cup, 5 others already declined “if there’s a grubby pound to be had our club will seek it.
We dont need them extra games with the thread bare squad we have.July 10, 2025 at 12:20 pm #306698Butler has said he’s open to entering the NL cup, 5 others already declined “if there’s a grubby pound to be had our club will seek it.
We dont need them extra games with the thread bare squad we have.Probably not the most reliable source (Reddit – Sept 2024):
“NL teams will get £10k for participating.
£8k for a group win.
£4k for group draws.
£15k for knockout round wins.
£60k to winners.
£30k runners up.”4 group games, all at home v U21 teams.
QF, SF, FSo, if you are unlucky enough to play 4 and lose 4, then you only pocket the £10k participation fee.
Home team pockets all Att monies. We’ve no reserve or U18 team, so why not. A few might need game time?

July 10, 2025 at 7:08 pm #306720Average attendance for 16 group games for our area last season 334, don’t think any team will be pocketing any money from the gate receipts.
Don’t see now we could afford to play when we couldn’t even play at home on new years day and had to play behind closed doors against the cods.July 10, 2025 at 7:25 pm #306722I think we should withdraw as enough to do to stay in the division without picking up injuries in this meaningless competition.
Also didn’t this take the place of Fa Cup replays which at least brought revenue not sure even Leeds took their 500,000 fans to the the final last seasonJuly 11, 2025 at 5:12 am #306724I think we should withdraw as enough to do to stay in the division without picking up injuries in this meaningless competition.
100% .. ENTER at your own risk
IMO give it a miss and focus on NL survival not some tin pot cup that means naff all and risks unnecessary injuries
