Time for Cox to give others a run of game’s, Olimola especially he’s never had decent spell in the team.
Well you would hope others could get an opportunity. I mean contracts are being offered so it may make decisions difficult. And as it is April announcements must be due regarding any acceptances.
The difference is Derby and Ipswich could sustain a decent Championship team with 20k plus gates or even a tier 3 Premiership side with 30k plus turning up. We would get 5k in the Championship and 7k in the Premiership. Even those gates would need to sell out the away end to achieve.
Anyone with funds wanting to own a genuine lower league side I am sure could probably pick one up for free just now. I suspect you know who is bored playing football manager and is hanging on until he has sold his block of flats with football pitch attached. (Football pitch optional)
Hull can’t sell – they don’t have a ground.

The providers should make identification easy to do. Then report them and make them face legal action. They think they are invisible, some will be copycats but there will be some malicious ones and they are the ones that need dealing with.

Rowe and Bedeau scare the crap out of me if they’re the 2 central defenders he7 matches to go – no doubt VERY important ones, players will be thrown in who are on a hiding to nothing !
This season has seen the most mismanaged set of players I have ever seen. Mr Cox is the luckiest manager in our history because if the crowds were actually there the gates by now would be at near rock bottom numbers.

The silence for Prince Philip – is a must do.
The taking of the knee is achieving nothing.
I look forward to seeing his team selection, do I have any sympathy for Mr Cox – not in the slightest. We are in a mess even now and it is down to the master tactician who still sticks to a tried and tested format that delivers nothing.

Players get injured but with us as soon as they are deemed fit they are straight back in and then almost immediately get another injury but far more serious.
Buck stops there. Said before same players fail again and again but keep getting picked – Why ?

I think the Chairman could have handled the reply about the old fan who’s been going since 1948 a lot better.
But does nt this sum up how the fans are treated at Glanny Park and shows the real attitude between the Club and the Fans.
Instead of the reply he gave would nt a good PR answer of been something like ‘ I m sorry how you feel at the moment especially after supporting the Club for over 70 years. Please come as the Clubs guest at the first game back ‘As I say about the humberside statements / interviews or the Iron Bru podcasts he does not talk TO the fans he talks AT them ! There is a huge difference.
He goes on about what he has spent, don’t think he has ever admitted how much the club has wasted on some players ! Just some to look at Vose, Margetts, Hallam, Olomola – doesn’t say who got them so wrong. There is no point calling in because it is a waste of time.

Well put CT.
The same pool of players ! The same ones who fail time and again. Our new pro’s from the academy must wonder what they have done. They don’t have a chance, we recruit others failures and ignore our own.
He says we don’t have a CB – we do, he is called Charlie Barks problem is he may be the answer and the Manager won’t like being proved wrong. Look what happened when 442 started to yield points back to anything but.

For us I cannot see one. Above 3000 will be a novelty and not the norm – that is based on this shockingly naive approach to players selected and tactics used.
Same failures selected week after week, the defending for the 2 goals at Carlisle was woeful. The excuses in the Managers post match statement on the official web site was incoherent rambling of someone out of there depth.
Playing away does mean one thing – the squad of 18 know who they are. Why say that, well, prior to the EFL setting a limit for players (covid rule) for a home fixture it on several occasions the squad was selected 90 mins before kick off !! That is true.
When watching games recently have you thought “Do the players know what the plan is” ? The answer, probably not and with the late selection of the 18 they will only be told what is expected 90 mins before kick off.
It is a farce. Some say let him pick his own squad next season – he wanted Hippolyte.
Our manager declared the last 10 matches were very important, to establish momentum heading into the close season.
After the Crawley game ‘the last 9 games are very important’.
Had enough – ‘target’ away Messrs Cox, Swann & Swann because this season was and still is a collective disaster, own it !!

At the end of the season we will keep many that we have to because of stupid 2yr deals and lose our own who have not had a chance.
Same failures that fit the ‘attacking’ style we have get in the squad week after week. Then we have others who don’t get a look in !
High hopes rapidly replaced with low aspirations. And it does not improve. Said previously why are games now important. Worried now ? Wait for next season !!

Average players got chance after chance and remain average.
Our own developed players rarely a chance. George Hornshaw – got a chance, out of position. Tom Pugh has not had a run of games. Charlie Barks & Tom Jessop – not a chance.
Hippolyte gets chances – the manager wanted him !! Some games you wonder if players know the plan at kick off, perhaps they don’t !!

Known ‘Brookie’ for a long time. Stated in local saturday league with Nypro FC. Was a very good player.
Was Iron through and through, he loved the club. Sympathy to his family. RIP Brookie the club have lost a good one.
After the latest Humberside post match one gets more despondent !
Wouldn’t have thought possible. Would not have been my choice but Mr Swann opted for him and after 37 league games I think season ticket sales for next season will be the lowest on record !

We all have our own opinions as to why. Many have tried to move things forward but to no avail.
When the gates are open to supporters I cannot see Scunthorpe fans flocking back. Others will see big increases in their gates I am not sure Scunthorpe United will.

Our manager now says these next 10 games are very important !!
I rest my case.
And on a free I think. So no fee.
People have little to discuss.
As usual any press releases only draw comments and not involvement from fans.
The pre match or post match manager comments are much of a muchness, and names changed to protect the innocent !!
Most do fear the recruitment will be no different. Our released list will be big and sadly we will lose those who have not had a chance because of those 2 yr deals to some who are simply not league standard.
The style of play will not encourage people to return and it appears a plan that is acceptable to decision makers.

Going to be very difficult. Hearing of one who will not sign what has been offered.
Released list I think will be about 13 but would not be surprised if another 5 will reject offers. That will mean massive problems the longer you leave recruitment. So will it turn out to be a false economy and costs actually rise because we start panic signing.
Gradually some plans unravel and shambles follow. Is this the moment when the route is fixed.

O’Malley is unavailable for tomorrow due to international call up. (Congratulations BTW young man)
Cox says many of the players are “leggy” after a lot of games in a short period of time.
Wouldn’t it have made sense to play O’Malley on Saturday and play a fresh Brown tomorrow? Just a thought.Logic Cassidystash.
Get out, line up near to 442 and go for it from 1st whistle.
Not playing the style of football that is wanted…….
Well we know that.
May be judged sufficient punishment.
The histrionics of the near fatally wounded Southend player may be of use as the scream and face holding could have ‘persuaded’ Mr Lewis to be the star of the day !
Saying all that, poor leadership for sure and sad to say but end of time at GP (svs).
Reminds me of Hakeeb. Obvious talent but seldom seen. Difficult for any manager to get total performance every week out of these players.
Barnards – you need to talk to his agent. Someone was giving Hakeeb bad advice, perhaps he knew who it was.
More money wasted. What are the issues, if players want out they would play their best to achieve a transfer. So why do those that want out seem to adopt a different path !! Or does something else go on that we are not privileged to know about.
Good luck to him and The Hatters.
He has probably found some ‘freshness’ !

Just seen this from the managers post match interview:-
Cox added: “We’ve had ten penalties against us this year and two sendings off. We’ve been given two penalties and not had anybody sent off against us. I feel as if that aspect has gone against us this season”
That penalty count seems to me to be a fair reflection of the time spent in our penalty area compared to that spent in our opponents.
Wouldn’t be surprised if our manager brought out what the most popular boot colour was for those who have scored against us !!
The whole feel of the game changed for the better when Spence came on, today.
Could have condemned Spence to the wastelands with that comment !
442 works even Mr Cox and the Master Commander realise that, so to ensure continuity we opt for the ‘diamond’ option !!
The gates will not be good when the fans are allowed back in but the decision makers seem quite happy in preparing for a decline. But they know it all.

For me before the initial new recruits we had a decent base to build on. Then the new faces were recruited and quite frankly they weakened the squad substantially.
This set of new permanents and loans 2 seasons ago would not have been looked at. Yet some of the new permanents got 2 year deals for goodness sake. These less than average players got chance after chance and if we had not got Karacan or Taft in we would be near to the bottom 4 !!
Survive this season and many who have recruited such mediocrity will do just the same and I fear retaining league status will be success again. But rest assured the ‘the – we threw money at it comment will be said’. But be confident the new ‘Vose’ will arrive.
