If the Chairman is to be believed, and why wouldn’t he be, then we have lots to look forward to this week. With 8-10 signings required to replace the 17 departed and the squad to be in place by the end of May you’d think we’d be averaging 2 signings a day. Can’t wait to see the quality which will surely signal our ambition for next season.

“Cox is in charge.” One of the funniest things I’ve heard for a while!

Not a chance, and if the did sign anybody they will probably name and parade them in July wearing the new shirts.

Is this why UTI99 is quiet? Dad’s told him to pull his finger out?

I have a feeling that the ‘new signings by end of May’ will go the same way as the promise of entertaining football, played in a new stadium, at the Championship level.

oooooh, yes, let’s all believe Swann, and that fairies live behind my shed, and there wont be any more lockdowns….

    Actually…no.

I would no longer believe Swann if he told me today was Monday unless I checked first.

Too many so called “broken promises” to even start and list.

If we don’t have the new signings in place it will no doubt be the fault of Covid. Probably the Indian variant the he wasn’t expecting at the time of the last interview.

Maybe we will sign a glut of Asian players in July and the Prawn will announce they all agreed to join in May but we held off till we were certain they were all clear of the Indian Covid variant. Now that’s a PR goer, better double check with Buck’s though.

No Mike, Awaywego99 is dad, UTI99 is the son for certain, and every post by any one of them is always given a THANKS from the other, just like clockwork, if I am wrong, “they could both be the same person”.

Do any of you actually listen to interviews? Cox has already stated that it won’t be happening, which was pretty obvious despite what Swann said.

    Cox is the boss.

    D’ya reckon?

We all know what happened to the last manager who thought he made the decisions on transfers.

So you suspect a return to the bad old days do you? We sign players in July when those available have been picked over and we are left to chose from those that nobody else wants. We’ve been there several times.

Well alot on here seem to think we’re making many signings this week on the back of what Swanny has said, I think you will be proved wrong, and it will be Cox who gets his way.

So, if we do not get early Swan signings we’ll get better later signings from Cox.
    Hmm.
Does this actually mean that Cox is having to pick through the leftovers rather than anyone else doing so?

Exciting week ahead for Joey Dawson and hopefully an exciting future in the game for him, I really hope the news report on Iron-bru is right and he does sign for Celtic this week. He will fit in nicely there with his ginger hair and after all, why settle for mince when you can have steak. Good luck Joey lad hope it works out for ya.

    Speculation.
Chairman to supporters – ” Next seasons squad will be in place by the end of May”
Chairman to manager – ” We’ll leave the signings as late as possible when players will have lowered their salary expectations. I’ll get the best I can from what’s left, leave it to me and Will”

I don’t give a tuppenny toss who’s right or wrong, or who gets their own way.

I just want to see a half-decent, balanced squad in place. One that can win us a few games, and get us looking at the top half of the table instead of the bottom.

If it’s in place by the time the players return for pre-season training then great.

What we don’t want is Cox realising he doesn’t have an experienced keeper or a proper captain in early August.

He’s got a experienced keeper NI, shame he’s not up to it though, chairman said he would be our goalie last year, but Cox deemed otherwise after giving him 7 games, can’t imagine he’s changed his mind.

Use the money to pay up Turan and Jarvis. I just hope we don’t replace them with more crap.

    Racist!

Don’t you know we must now refer to it as the April 02 variant?

And there we have it in a nutshell.

Chairman says one thing. Manager says/thinks another.
