Very nice Awaywego, somewhere amber, somewhere red or a nice little sensible English break?
June 1, 2021 at 2:05 pm #207890Probably a mod whose responsible.
Kick over his Lambretta, that’s what we used to do!
June 1, 2021 at 3:17 pm #207891Amber it is Ironawe, but it is to the Greek islands which the FCDO allow holidays too and not just essential travel, can’t understand why it is not more publicised, will have to quarantine though on return, but I’m relying on them moving the goalposts on Thursday.
June 1, 2021 at 3:41 pm #207892Should have been in Greece this week. Second year in a row it was cancelled by the travel company.
What happens if they move the goalposts the other way?
June 1, 2021 at 5:11 pm #207897Go to a better travel company NI, we went twice last year, pretty confident they won’t go the other way they, but if they do it’s 10 days in another hotel with Room service.
June 1, 2021 at 5:42 pm #207898I think the thread needs retitling to unexciting week ahead.

June 1, 2021 at 6:06 pm #207900Organised tour Awaywego. Into Athens classical sites including Delphi, couple of islands and back through the Corinth Canal. No hiding on a beach for a week!
However when we were there in Sept 19 it was when Thomas Cook went tits up and we’re were amongst the 150,000 that got stranded.
As it happened we got and extra day in a 5* hotel and Ryan Air flew us back into Newcastle. Lucky for us as the Manchester flight landed at Leeds/Bradford!
June 1, 2021 at 6:51 pm #207902We shall be going to Knossos palace and spinalonga hopefully, would like to go one of of the villages where the Nazi massacre s took place but they look a bit remote, I will also be a beach bum. Have you done with foreign holidays now Mick?
June 1, 2021 at 8:17 pm #207904I’m guessing the mods are away on holiday.
There are mods?
June 1, 2021 at 8:18 pm #207905Apparently the transfer window doesn’t open till 9th of June.
Ah!
So another broken promise?
When DOES a broken promise become a lie?

June 2, 2021 at 2:02 pm #207918To be fair, there has been very little transfer activity in Leagues One and Two.
June 2, 2021 at 2:57 pm #207919Maybe everybody’s waiting for the transfer window to open on the 9th of June.
June 2, 2021 at 4:17 pm #207920Maybe everybody’s waiting for the transfer window to open on the 9th of June.
Nah.
Swanny promised and he doesn’t break promises.
He’s signed anyone worth having and just not announced it yet.June 2, 2021 at 4:42 pm #207922Maybe Swann has finished his business and the new signings were just the kids he’s bumped up to the first team.
June 2, 2021 at 4:52 pm #207923Well, AWG – it is reported that Mansfield have signed that Cod ‘ed CB. There are a dozen or more others spread around Leagues 1 & 2 which have been reported.
Maybe all our signings are actually in place and will simply be announced together on the 9th.June 2, 2021 at 5:20 pm #207924Haven’t seen any of our 17 released have been snapped up either.
June 4, 2021 at 12:30 am #207998That will change before long with Gillead and Karacan having plenty of suitors. I hope Swann pays Jarvis and Turan off with the Dawson money, we can’t have that crap around the squad again.

June 4, 2021 at 9:51 am #208003I think I saw Gilliead busking at Grey’s Monument last week!
June 4, 2021 at 10:48 am #208007I suppose if players are resigned to having to accept a reduced salary then, if they are contracted to the end of June, it would be foolish to sign another lesser one before then. Makes the chairmans claim about the squad being in place by the end of May even more bizarre.
