Still think 15 to go and offers turned down could perhaps equal 3 more.
Based on recruitment being near to 12 then another coach may be need to work with a specific group in prep for pre-season.
Hearing it is Friday !
Could be that they are awaiting contract offer decisions and that will be the deadline, but this is the honed professional organisation we have become !!
I can’t see Joey Dawson featuring in game days next season.
Don’t believe one word. The ‘leaked’ document took control from the chairman and it hurt.
The supporter has been kept at arms length since the first day of the takeover and they still are. The chairman might hear or read fans concerns but takes no notice.

His negative tactics !!
What about the the present incumbent ? He hasn’t got a clue, his pre-game comments are laughable. His post match ? They are impossible to explain.

I take such managerial comments with a pinch of salt these days !
Don’t know if this is a coincidence but stranger things…..
Seems Gainsborough Trinity have released ALL their players, Mr Cox has said that some of our new signings will be names we do not know !! So that fits. Having a reduced budget that could also fit.
Recruitment strategy is either to find rough diamonds to polish and make a profit on or recruit in readiness for where we could end up ! Even Mr Cox hasn’t realised the situation – he states “Things can’t get worse ” !! But they can there are 2 places below us, they got relegated so Mr Cox it can get worse.
Could indicate if I am making a financial saving for the season.
Bottesford Town could benefit.
So 1 game to go. Then it starts and what a rollercoaster we will be on !!
So from the 9th of May we reveal our retained list – that will be entertaining
Then according to Mr Peter Swanns after comments about those contracts that got cancelled, we will have our squad in place before the end of May. So 22 days to go !Decisions will made regarding season ticket, even whether one will attend again.

The club owner has a strategy ! Really – he does !!

It has got that bad they have been checking the lists again. The reason was after a ‘planning’ meeting when someone said – any ideas. They checked notes and someone had written D I T T O.
They are trying to find out who is the agent for D I T T O !!

Well one game to go in a disastrous season that was made in house and the culmination of confused thinking this past 3 ish seasons.
Having listened to Mr Cox’s post match at Bradford and all the “if only you knew” “I have had it so rough” bleatings I think enough is enough.
He wanted the job then own the job – the buck stops there, the final blame ends with him. Tactics, selections, playing unfit players despite players being available. We had younger pro’s there who have not had a chance all season.
He says his brief was to stay in the league, I thought at the start we were looking to blend a squad and develop younger players and hopefully other clubs took interest in our discovered talent and we sold them on ! What happened ! Then I read the statement by the Owner – THE FUTURE ! I am still laughing.

We will probably keep the ones the supporters are not fussed if they stay or go, but probably the ones we would like to keep will go.
Spot on. I think the ones going will not have changed.
There could have been a different outcome but that would mean someones attitude changing and confirmed yesterday in the post match it hasn’t !
So SanFran, your suggesting the chief scout wants to resign a player Cox doesn’t consider good enough. IF this is true it could explain how we finished up with some of the current dross but doesn’t bode well for the future.
What it shows is there is no joined up thinking !
I thought Mr Cox wanted to work with Will Swann as they are on the same wavelength !!
Didn’t Peter say he wouldn’t have his son in that job ?To show how bad things are down there then read this.
The Chief Scout – Mr Will Swann found out that the manager had told a player he was being released. The person who told him was the players agent when the Chief Scout was talking about this player to him because he wanted to re-sign him !! The manager hadn’t even told Will Swann.

Mr Swann stated what had been done when facing questions from Mr David Burns on Radio Humberside.
People higher up the food chain than myself heard the interview ! He said it.

This is rare for me. Well said Max Bell.
And then you read what Mr Swann said in a club statement back in 2015 – the item called BELIEF. Is there any wonder any trust has totally evaporated.

Could this be a classic “Economical with the truth” ???

But the ground hasn’t been sold.
Neither is there a new ground.
The ground has gone to cover pay off of the debt incurred at the club.
1st two questions good and fair questions.
The last question needed a third option. Something like ‘MAYBE, BUT NEED TO FIND OUT WHO IS DECIDING ON RECRUITMENT AND THE CONTRACT LENGTHS THAT LEADS TO SQUAD STABILITY GOING FORWARD.

We shall now see what the grand plan is !!
Really.
You expect him to tell us?Of course ! Hasn’t he has always been so ready to make public statements to calm nerves…………..

April 25, 2021 at 4:02 pm in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #205462Perhaps one question that could be asked is why did no player want to go out on loan in the January window ?
And why didn’t we put some out there anyway as it was obvious some were never going to get a chance.
So an improvement on Tuesday then?
Can hear part of the Walsall post match now !!
Did we look leggy ? Whatever that means !!
Need to get some fresh legs back after the debrief !!!Mr Cox’s thursday humberside interview summed up our season. He says he promised the players he would be honest with them. What about the supporters. If several are not good enough why did you keep picking the same failures ? Enough for me.
Question is just how many of the newer professionals will get a chance having not had a chance ALL season. Or will Mr Cox bottle it again ?
Because his latest humberside interview sums up the previous 42 league games !!
We shall now see what the grand plan is !!

Yes is the easy answer.
He would not have accepted the lack of enthusiasm exhibited by some of todays team. Saw him play a few times.
But got to meet Len many times when he was shopping in Ashby, he was very unassuming and a tad embarrassed when you complimented him on his efforts when wearing the IRON shirt.
RIP Len Sharpe
100% what we have missed this season – surely Cox can identify those sorts of players?
Can’t see how we could possibly mess it up more than this season, but I am not too confident.
He wanted Hippolyte ! Doesn’t look promising does it ?
Start with a 3 yr contract plan. We need to stop this every 2 years – all change idea. That there is a proper structure some 3 yr deals, some 2 yr deals and 2 yr deals with options. Likewise 1 yr deals with options based on performance.
The Dom Vose ideas have to stop, and yet we have not learned from it and valuable money resources has been wasted. Not the fans fault and now the budget to be reduced further we must get someone in who really does know what they are doing. Who knows where to invest it.
Adkins may not have been able to motivate some of these but he would not have accepted the performances and others would have got a chance.
Start of the season we were going to develop players. Only Mason O’Malley has achieved that but he has had the opportunity of a lot of games but how many have not a chance ?
Jai Rowe must wonder, he is in does well and gets dropped and why ? because of what I call targeting. Lining up to deal with what opponents will do on so many occasions that we forget that opponents should have to deal with us !
This season has been a bigger farce than last season which was a farce on the season before ! And if their is no apology and change of the philosophy promised get ready for another season of chaos.
Having heard and read his latest post match comments what is the point of anyone showing any interest.
The big plus this season is the gates have been maintained, next season will be a whole different thing. This a mess, the budget is what it is but we need someone who will not accept mediocrity.
The fitness has been a huge issue this season so a full investigation is needed starting there.

So many should have had a chance this season. A run of games is the least they deserved, but not us we pick the same who could not be bothered and now look at the mess !
For a club that stated this season we would be developing players I would hate to have seen a lack of interest !
We used to have a good reputation – now !!!
