The car park is now £5.00 !!

Mind you with the drop in season ticket sales, which will lead to lower gates coupled with lower footfall in the hospitality units ( now that is a good one, just realised Hospitality !! Tell me where).

The extra £2 will make a huge difference won’t it !!

We became a cashless club some time ago!

We became a groundless club a while ago as well !!

I believe the figure to be higher then most on here think. I have spoken to 2 different people in the office and although no figures were given to me they both said season tickets had gone really well with people looking forward to seeing live football again. As I said no numbers given but the women in the office seemed genuine in what they said.

No employee would say anything that contradicts the figure they are told !!

    They wouldn’t dare !!

Also saw that, age confused me a little.

Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Knew how to run a football club.

Masterminding a disaster it appears if the figure is anywhere near that.

Pay on the day / Last minute walk – ups are now going to be greatly reduced as the club announce with 3 weeks to go the club has gone CASHLESS !! Now isn’t that a gem.

Fighting for every penny and we tell people don’t bring your cash, in recent days I have seen where non-league(lower than the National League !) announcing season ticket sales of a 1000 or more and their normal admission are £18 – £20 a game ! Which is not that different.

Cox said there’s scope to sign 7 on perm deals. Thompson and Bunn will make that 5 so enough room then for an out and out striker and one winger/striker.

Gk and CM on loans. Cox did say he’s agreed 2 already so that will be us done.

With the embargo rules we can only have a squad of 23 that have had a pro competitive appearance. We can have 2 loans. After that any other permanents would I think come from development squads.

Last season we had one player unregistered ! All season, and that lad deserved far better treatment than that.

Just another reason I no longer have a season ticket.

This is so patronizing. Since the 1st Fans Forum having gained control of the club all I heard was no notice of fans suggestions would happen.

The 1st forum openly said any suggestion was distrusted because people would want some financial reward for it !! That they have been in the entertainment business and they know what is needed so leave it with them ! Said just wanted fans to turn up pay to get in, have a pie & a pint then having watched an entertaining game of football leave an go home ! That is all they wanted !!

Subsequent forums suggestions were quickly dealt with, the fans 100% ignored so I stopped going.

Of course now it will be the fans fault ! As I said so patronizing.

Swann has said that we’re only allowed to sign players on a “break even” basis.

Only 6 teams took up the loan, which tells you all you need to know really.

Swann signs our assets to coolsilk and couldn’t find anyway of funding needed to get us out of the hole he found ourselves in with lack of funding through covid and now we’re at a huge disadvantage.

What annoys me is, is that we’ve had to hear this from a 3rd party because the owner couldn’t be arsed to say anything.

This is what I was saying the other day about lack of communication and feeling like we’re seen as an annoyance.

And now he wants to set up some sort of field fans panel !

Strange because since the day of that 1st fans forum he said he would take no notice of any ideas because people would not be doing it to help the club just for what they could get out of it !!

Our player turnover and recruitment led us to where we are. I came across a dec 2019 programme. When I checked we had 30 players listed – as of last week there are 3 left !! Watson Hallam & Pugh.

Last season the failures were allowed to continue failing by being selected game after game. Check how many start the 2021/2022 season on 1 yr deals.

I have not renewed my season ticket and the sales must be near the worst ever recorded.

This is solely the responsibility of Mr Peter Swann.

…….Mr Swann said that we have a very good squad of players, and is hoping for supporters to turn up and watch them develop over the next three years……….

How do we develop !! Of the 21 contracted as of the 1st July we have 19 on 1 yr deals !!

As others say ‘Thank You JEM’ you told the truth to the fans much appreciated and so refreshing and yet he gets criticised ! Par for the course at this club.

neither was George Hornshaw a right back, but he gave it a go but never got a chance in midfield.

Never got a chance in his position. Tom Pugh & Harry Jessop not really given a run of games yet Mr Cox opted to select regularly players that Jem Karacan said were not interested ! What an example of leadership !!

Jem pinged a nerve there then ! Well done Jem. He hinted that several players were not interested on a regular basis. So why were they still in the squad ?

The item that shocked me was fans will be welcome back and hopefully cheer the players or boo if they so feel ! Perhaps any booing would be directed at the powers that be ! But that is unlikely they don’t make errors do they !

What about the player who left his match shirt in the dressing room and was needed at that time as a sub ? Yet was selected time and again, also did not read his pre-game coaching notes and again selected time and again. Any comment. But the one person who is trying make them act as professionals and earn their wages is the one got the blame !!

The issue is if Jem knew it why didn’t an ex-professional know it !!

Why did the manager continually select the same players that Jem is pointing at, why didn’t he drop the ego’s and give players who actually wanted to fight for the club a chance !

I will hope for the best.

What is the point of any statement from Mr Peter Swann – Would you believe them ?

Signings may surprise people but for another season damage has been done and trust at an all time low. Season ticket sales must be heading to one of the lowest levels for seasons and that again is one persons responsibility. But they don’t appear to care.

People want signings, but based on the past 3 years aren’t fans really concerned at what we deem as a ‘good’ acquisition !

Alex Kenyon has signed a 1 yr deal ! Notice a trend.

Already at the end of the 21/22 season there are almost 12 that will be considering their options. A situation of our making and like the our clueless recruitment plan over the previous 3 seasons will leave us in an even weaker situation.

Why consider this now, it shows we have no plan.

Will be interesting to know if we offered him a deal. If we did that would be two non league players we have offered deals to that havent signed.

Only 2 ? Not good at communicating this club and getting worse.

Yeah spot on f row crew, been a lifelong member several years and yes they do some great work supporting the fans voice and getting in the Prawns face. The more the merrier and if people believe things aren’t right at GP just don’t moan about it on here, join the trust and help them swell the membership which gives us all a greater voice when they meet the chairman and ” board ” to put relevant points to them regarding how the Iron is run.

He will take no notice, the simple reason being he says he is right !

He does watch these items so remember re-read anything you write to check what you have put in B&W and edit accordingly ! He likes using his solicitors so don’t give him the pleasure.

Bill Shankly said how good he was, you can’t get much better than that.

He was a lovely fellow but did not tolerate arrogance – Kevin Keegan will tell you that.

    Could be a good recruit.

Biggest issue as always is communication at this club, but only one person responsible and cannot see any change.

We never get left behind. We operate in a whole new football world !!

Our system of recruitment has been an abject failure season on season.
Our season ending releases have systematically reduced the quality of the start point
when we actually start to recruit.

    It is a farce.
