Problem is Les these are the ‘types’ Cox wanted in the building. Exeter have walked three goals in with nobody anywhere near them – the defence wad the only good thing on paper. It is a gutless talentless performance beyond the worst fears of most.

Once again we’re looking at 4/5 players who should be nowhere near this level

Check out the selection recently. How many players signed by previous managers get an opportunity ? Seems that signed by Cox you are in – biggest example Tom Pugh, a Tony Daws recommendation and dropped. Mason O’Malley signed by Russ Wilcox for the U23s – now the invisible man.

So a player who has been out injured, rehabbed and after 11 weeks starts at RB when we have a RB who gets played at CB sums it all up with the crackpot targeting and formations by Mr Cox.

You are going to see soon who wants it more.

Again close to wrong end already.

Hope he smashes it. Must have been so demoralising that no matter what you do you haven’t a chance. Didn’t even have a squad number.

Although Mason O’Malley seems to be on that naughty step now.

I don’t go anymore – that is down to Mr Swann.

On field matters solely down to Mr Cox and I don’t include any other member of the coaching staff in the situation.

Always said targeting is the death knell of aspiration and how evident. But is this the plan to drain any enthusiasm from the remaining supporters ?

Just read Mr Cox’s comments in today’s Telegraph [09/09].

    Ventriloquist ? No
    Comedian ? Yes

Nothing, Cox has signed 2 players he believes are better. He can’t be blamed for that unless he’s proved wrong. IF he’s wrong and they are no better than Pugh he should only be blasted if he keeps picking them before Pugh anyway. He did say recently that Pugh was his first choice RB so room for all 3 you would think.

Let us look at the player judgement of Mr Cox – after 2 training sessions and a friendly he wanted KDT !!

Regrettably for those who go watch it is going to be a tortuous season.

We only just escaped last season, we will not escape 2 seasons running !
Can we stop conceding late goals, can we actually become an entertaining team – all depends on who is in charge. Because Mr Cox is not the man, I wasn’t that impressed after last season but his actions upon signing the 2 from championship clubs is despicable. players get opportunities based on the performance of others – What had Tom Pugh done wrong ???

Seems Wood and Hackney will play no matter what. That is based on Mr Cox’s post match interview with Mike White that they haven’t come to sit on the the bench !!

Yet again another player Tom Pugh having helped out as a temporary RB despite having 1 in Rowe (baffling). Then settling in midfield and showing what he is capable in his own position deserving of the shirt and surprise surprise – he gets dropped. Yet some of last seasons mediocrity get in no matter what.

Where is Mason O’Malley these days ??

Tom Pugh – what has he done to get dropped ? But it was what I expected Mr Cox to do.

Should kick them out for 5 yrs with a further 5 yrs suspended. 1 Euro breach and the extra 5 yrs to be added without right of appeal.

2 in, like several I can see 2 going on loan. But which 2. His favourites will say which means………

With Rowe already looking as though he is not in favour which is baffling. Why does he see him as a CB does that mean he sees a CB as a winger.

How many different line-ups this season already ? 352 or 5311 seems the attacking plan !!

Scrimshaw and Covid ? The Cox comment did not seem to mean that.

KDT – pay him off, it won’t save money because no one will take him he is getting paid and he won’t leave it appears. Was a signing based on a couple of training sessions and efforts in a friendly !! Research seemed lacking, look at the level he had played at !!

How do you loan a player out who has not played a game because the person who wanted him (stated by Peter Swann on Radio Humberside) now doesn’t even give him a game !

Scrimshaw ? Where was he on saturday and what exactly did Mr Cox mean when he was asked about his absence ?

Is it 1 or 2 that could be in, isn’t there some clause about taking a player who is in an age group at his parent club (sorry a bit vague but EFL clauses at time are a bit vague).

One improvement is people are more guarded in the words they use.

I mean when was the last time the threat of a solicitors letter made !

Over the years Scunthorpe United developed a reputation of battlers who despite the odds against any level opponent never quit.

Now expectation of progress is minimal at best.

    Lord Kitchener.

Small correction for you but several of those released were NEVER allowed to show any interest. They never got a chance. Mr Cox kept picking the same failures and some of those are still being selected this season. I do know that one player was due to go on loan last january was asked to stay because he was wanted for the 1st team. He did and was never spoken to again !!

And just to add something for you to consider – Why did Joey Dawson refuse to stay ?

You are correct Sanfran, the League team will still consist of Hippo, Green, Rowe and party, the young guys will probably get a couple of ten minute periods during the season.

Some faces fit and some don’t !!

I believe the Ground & training had something like £5 mill as the price to buy it.

The other real estate one would imagine fits anothers plan !

The club may not be a sleeping giant but it could do a damn sight better than this and I am sure fans would support a new regime who wants to be involved with the fans and off field revenues would increase appreciably.

Or is that the fear factor – that someone could actually make something of it.

He wanted the club, he made the statements such as ‘trust us’ ‘ the club is safe’ and seem to remember ‘never in debt’ !!

You want it Mr Swann then act like it, if you are bored then put it up for sale.

I am sure as an astute businessman you could work a deal out to the mutual benefit of all.

Never mind a new scouting system. Get rid of what is there now !

There are a lot of people who would come and help new leadership. Get back to actually treating supporters with respect and communicating with them.
