Boreham Wood are over achieving Scunny are about where they should be.
Who else do you think should be above us on finance or anything else for that matter.Busy at mo renovating an old property for my retirement so not posting as much …but heres my ten bobs worth while im on SOBER AND WITHOUT SOAP IN MY EARS
Carisle,FGR,Southend,Rochdale and my tip for champs York city … all ex FL sides with bigger squads and bigger budgets. BW are looking great and certainly be up there come end of season.
IMO .. the current SUFC squad lacks depth with too many players not NL standard and when the players that are of NL level are missing like Ewing WH Roberts Evans etc it shows .. performances have dropped and loosing touch with those above making Atly away and Hartlepool big games, i aint no posivity Dave and prefer to stay within the realms of reality so still predicting a mid table finish unless some of the dead wood is removed and replaced by better.
AND Im gonna say it .. not a fan of AB and im sure as form declines his mud slinging spats at paying fans with an alternative view will intensify.
Football management is a fickle career and this months hero can so easily be looking at next months situations vacant ads .. so for those fans suggesting Michelle should tie in him down with a longer contract i say not on your Nelly.Alty away .. if still without Ewing Evans WH and maybe Roberts plus a rather impotent attack (Howes miss was a shocker) then its gonna be another tough watch.
No easy games in this league and maybe we underestimated Braintree and hope the 4 sub masterstroke was noted by AB , alas we dont have that impact player quality on the bench.
UTI as ever.
Butler too quick to lambast fans for having any alternative opinion on his .. the start of a rocky road telling less positive fans to stay away and slagging off the ppl who pay your wages for booing .. fook me take it and move on ..the performance was shite especially second half and should have lost to be fair .. Cal Roberts constantly bollocking team mates when wearing the arm band doesnt help ..
Said it before season started and on another thread .. this squad is way too light to compete in this league and mid table will be where we are at come end ov season .. too many delusional Iron fans still thinking we are way better than reality.
Whall n AB ? POSSIBLY HAD A FALL OUT
More EWING A MASSIVE MISS . as is Evans
very poor performance especially second half and lucky not to loose .. a team in decline end up mid table come the season end
Good luck to Mr Beck hope his moves works out.

this grinding out results and playing badly and winning warbling is getting a bit tiresome .. reality is we are not playing as well as we were earlier, the football is less fluid and been lucky to sneak a win ALA Aldershot and more.

AGAIN This rolling HR blocked for contractual reasons message so went out on the piss n for fish n chips plus slip n slide soapy during which i got radio Somerset commentary on my phone for the second half ..happy days and more so happy ending for less than the price of a AAGP ticket !! ..
Just read on FB York have admitted to recalling Rory Watson as he strengthened the Scunny side ..thus so recalling him has weakened a rival… they obviously hadnt factored in Mahady who had an excellent game v York coming back in immediately.
Thanks Ironingboard i found my way to that link but im just getting a rolling recorded message saying commentary is unavailable due to contractual or other reasons .. im guessing its cos im overseas.

Any kind soul out there with a HR commentary link
TIA
Obviously i dont attend games but as a loyal and supportive fan of the club i should still have an opinion.
AB comments about fans staying away are IMO out of order .. his suggestion 2 out of the 4000 + in attendance should stay away is ridiculous , what if its 100 or 200 who have a differing opinion to his re ANY PLAYER not just the keeper, maybe he wants a soulless stadium full of happy clappers .
All he seems to do is warble on about how magnificent his staff are and what a fantastic group he has …… agreed but its the fans with or without an opinion who pay their wages and he should do well to remember that IF n WHEN things go pear shaped.
Football is so fickle and todays hero is tomorrows villan .. and not all fans are of the ilk of gushing Stu Maw or Positivity Dave …so many more have a more realistic opinion without the claret n blue tainted glasses and feel the need to voice it even if its negative. No manager should ever tell fans to stay away period !

PLEASE anyone have a link to commentary .. IM FOOKED HERE
there aint no easy push over games in this league and i hope AB and the boys can get back to winning ways, still undecided on what score my tenner bet will be on this week, again fancy there might be a few goals maybe a 3-2 or 4-2 incoming hopefully to the Iron
Brilliant start to the season and a massive well done to all..
Alas hand on heart i do think this early excellent form will tail off in fact signs it already is doing with injuries and suspensions derailing the flowing attacking football seen thus far .. at the moment hanging in there with the big money boys but not being clinical in front of goal , too many drawn games and points thrown away will see us loose ground so im predicting it will be a solid AND VERY RESPECTABLE 8th to 10th place finish.
To add a lot depends on the transfer activity in January2 users thanked author for this post.
Blaming Watson for their goal is frankly ridiculous. Result of poor defending, again.
agree .. good save by RW a tad unlucky how it bounced out.
The few seconds prior were a shambles defensively Evans with the daft giveaway thrown in and other switching off is unfortunate but these things happen in football ..
btw Evans has been brilliant this season so one mistake should not warrant any real negative comments IMO so lets move on to Eastleigh.
Having watched the Boston goal on the highlights i dont think you can pin much blame on Watson ,in fact it was and excellent save from a blind shot just unfortunate how the ball came off him to LJL … sloppy marking players switched off from the quickly taken throw but thats about it , i might add Watson kept us in the game with 2 or 3 superb saves so very harsh him getting stick.
of course we all have opinions … mine is above

My tenner this week ….
Ive gone for 1-1 thus so a nasty away replay to fit in which is not needed as the players looked shattered after the tough run of league fixtures.Could of increased the odds massively by having skip Clunan to score but thats bordering on miracle territory isnt it ??
Measly 16/1 on a 4-1 Scunny win so adding Morecambe to score first bumped it to 25/1 ..
AND THERE GOES ANOTHER TENNER !!Interesting to see the attendance number .. i reckon be around the 3,700 mark.
AB must field his strongest 11 which includes WH n Howe from the start , go at em ..then change if n when as the game progresses .. if he does a decent bounce back win ..
Going for 4-1 Scunny

Simon Elliott saved the club, according to Simon, who would have thought it?
Yes after reading Elliots self gushing me myself n i post my mouth filled with vomit and for some to push his name to be chairman made me spit it out as i burst out laughing .. forever lurking in the background and i hope he stays there as hes just a fist pumper.
Another massive game tomorrow and i see the bookies have made Carlisle slight favourites .. Scunny being tagged as “Dark Horses” for promotion at AAGP and Carlisle with Mark Hughes and a huge budget so its a hard one to call.
A win would be huge
A draw realistically the safe bet
A defeat would be deflating to say the least.Carlisle got battered by York and SUFC just beat York but by all accounts they cant play as bad as the did that night as were atrocious.
My weekly tenner is on a 1-1 draw , crappy odds so added 2 red cards in the game one for each team which scrapped it to 16/1
UTI
Beestin much better than Clunan
Agree .. when comparing Clunan to our current other midfielders he would really struggle when up againsnt all of them especially Ewing , Beesin and Rowley .. Clunan was a holding mf thus way more negative hence is “goal tally” whilst here at Scunny.
Credit to AB and all the staff n players they have surprised most and long may it continue .. long time since had such a tight knit strong squad who give 110% every game.Well done to all ..including the 1552 fans at York , best away support for noise as could only hear them on the commentary, sadly unwatchable DAZN here :)
Another loan signing today lad from Donny .. Westbrooke .. comes with glowing references and a decent history.
Happy to avoid defeat tonight .. im going 2-2
