York thought that would hurt us taking Watson, but ended up making us stronger. They can have Chadwick back too if they want as he’s poorer than what we’ve got.

I would like Fadera back on loan even if he was a bit raw, but going by York’s stance I think that’s a no, no. Not involved there and he’s out of contract end of this season.

Just read on FB York have admitted to recalling Rory Watson as he strengthened the Scunny side ..thus so recalling him has weakened a rival… they obviously hadnt factored in Mahady who had an excellent game v York coming back in immediately.

Clearly hasn’t read any expert analysis on Watson from wondergoals, Matt Ellis and a number of others. Really, what’s he thinking?

If he were that good they’d be playing him, nice to see Fitz though forcing his way into the first team (played the last 8 games) maybe he’s a bit better than 64 would have us believe.

I also noticed in the Bru article that Mahady has been named in the Scotland U21 squad later this month, which will likely leave us with another goalkeeper crisis if Campbell has still not recovered from his injury.

Fitz left at the end of the season FFS go out and get a goalie of our own.

If we could get Mahady on loan for the rest of the season, without being called back for Leeds U21 duty, he would be our own, to an extent. A keeper on a full time contract can still get an international call up. What you’re really suggesting is a keeper on a permanent contract who’s excellent, but not so excellent he might be getting an international call up. Does he have to be a certain height, weight, and be incredibly good in every aspect of his game (shot stopping, distribution, commanding his area, excellent at set pieces, particularly corners, etc)?

Who is this god like goalkeeping stalwart? Anyone got a number for him?

Seriously, do we need to be looking at luring a second choice premiership or championship keeper to meet our high goalkeeping standards?

But he keeps getting called back to Leeds u21s Deerey, played for them on Monday again.
So he’s not our own in any extent.
On the permanent I’d just like someone who’d played more than 14 games since 2022 in the national league or above, is that really to much to ask and expect from a professional club who averages over 4000 every game for the previous 2 seasons.

Unsurprising really. He’s admitted he wanted him back to weaken us not because he was needed. Not yet anyway.

I was being sarcastic awaywego. No, it’s not to much to ask. I did say, IF they could agree with Leeds he wouldn’t keep playing for the U21s. No harm in it, till he gets an injury there. My honest opinion is we need another permanent keeper really and have Campbell as a back up, when fit.
