Yeah sounds about right DM, the winning run had to come to an end sometime and we went down by the odd goal in five, shit happens, move on to Saturday and look to get three points against Boston, should be a cracking atmosphere too.

Always a tough fixture at Brunton Park but I reckon we can win tonight, they have been pretty patchy with their form of late and if they are missing a couple of their better players it’s the perfect time to take it to them. Our record against the top six has been pretty decent and we were worth a point when they nicked that 0-1 win early this season.

Always thought the Newcastle replay was a bit dodgy, in the first game Chris Simpkin ( hard as nails ) marked Malcom McDonald out of the game completely and even left him on the floor in a tangled heap a couple of times, those who were there will remember it. Replay and Simpkin never went near McDonald who scored two of their three goals, never felt right that result.

Seem to recall 16 or 17 thousand reported for the Arsenal league Cup tie. Don’t think the Newcastle replay was that high given it was a midweek afternoon. Got a right bollocking from British Steel for skipping the afternoon at college.

Still remember going to the Arsenal game, night game behind the DRE goal at the OSG as a young lad, brilliant atmosphere, when we scored I thought the roof was coming off the old stand , unbelievable noise and excitement, happy days and the result didn’t matter it was all about the buzz of being a part of it. We didn’t get many nights like that back in the OSG days.

Spoke to AB a few times, very approachable and is great to chat to, managers aren’t Philistines they are human beings just like us, honest they really are.

Wasn’t there 19000 for the Newcastle cup replay in 1974? Think the record is around 23000 for a cup tie back in the late 50’s early 60’s.

Pickford’s Removals, Egg Fried Rice & Sugar Kane?

I believe he used Pickfords Removals when we gave him the bullet.

Hurst will become the new whipping boy for some, after all Beck is out on loan as is Campbell and AB who some wanted sacked less than a year ago has got us promoted and has us lying third in the National League, someone has to fill the void for the pathetic crew to chip away at, lol.

See Maison kept a clean sheet for Bradford PA yesterday, will do the lads confidence good after his injury problems this season.

Hurst rescued from being the worst Iron player on the pitch by Barrows performance?

It would be a tough call, I thought Denton was terrible.

Good ball by Denton to Cam for the goal but in truth the majority of the team were poor first half, second half big improvement IMO.

“And now, from Norwich, it’s the quiz of the week!”.

“And now, from Scunthorpe, it’s Positivity Dave!”

Old Nickersoff Parsons eh now that’s a blast from the past.

Don’t know why we go half a game before deciding to play, rubbish first half but much better contest second half. Couple of good saves and catches from Mahady and Evans was excellent but Whitehall and Roberts had good chances to add to the score line. Southend a decent side and nice to see Tom Hopper keeping that number 14 shirt. Yeah we rode our luck at times but big deal it’s all about winning and we did that, thought the new lad on first viewing looks a decent signing, Dec who?

Would have thought Decs replacement would have already been in the building but AB needs to get a shift on, reckon we need two strikers in seeing as two have left the club already.

Certainly is some serious shite hitting the fans now regarding Mandelson and Andrew Windsor, if any of the stuff regarding Mandelson being reported is proven it will be jail for him. Windsor won’t say a thing and the establishment will still probably close ranks around him, it all stinks but are we surprised?

Marmite character old DW anybody remember Stephen Dawson? Proper a****le but what a great player to having in your team. I do miss a character like him playing for us, always in the ref’s ear never shut up for a minute, brilliant guy to have for you but a nightmare in opposition.

He’s a young man with a young family and as we all know there are plenty of of sleepless nights with young families, give the guy a break.

Oh him that Andrew Windsor bloke, it’s the country’s fault for not giving the whole bunch of them the boot a hundred years ago, bringing the rich and privileged to account is always a long haul, different for the rest of us of course.

Well if we are being outplayed then at least he has a bench full of positive subs who can and will make a difference if put on, guess AB is weighing up when to use them and how long they may need to turn things round.

Very powerful stuff from Bruce, very early Dylanesque in its delivery. Modern video techniques leave government liars no place to hide anymore and I think the mid terms will prove very interesting as a result unless of course the old rigged elections rears its ugly head for real this time, wouldn’t put it past Trump his need to cling to power as a sick old man is very worrying.

    Not sure if he raps.
Looks like he’s had a few Wilson’s Seekh Kebab Wraps

If he’s had a few of them he’ll be doing craps not raps.

That’s a good point Steve but I believe the higher the profile the more severe the abuse, Phil Brown and Robbie Savage have probably had the most verbal abuse then any other visiting managers in recent years.
