Another clean sheet? Haven’t had one yet!
It’s coming but so is Xmas.
Surprised the FA haven’t thrown the Cods out and put the Mancs through, you know how the football authorities love licking the a**e of the bigger clubs particularly Man U, glad they didn’t though, funniest result of the year last week.
Also defenders are undervalued in comparison to strikers, Liverpool offered £35 million for Mark Guehi, great defender IMO yet splashed out £90 million more on Isak, always been the way.
Yes it’s a sad day, clubs don’t have many legends but Barrie was one of ours, I put him alongside Jack Brownsword when I think of Iron legends. Just a wonderful wonderful footballer RIP Barrie thanks for the memories.

Tango man was hurting his club by slagging his players off because they would lose faith in him and not give of their best, it was his decision to go public and a poor one IMO. AB situation is totally different and I reckon he will gain more support from it with the vast majority of the fans, nowt to do with rules it’s to do with people backing the players and team, unless you think differently of course.

So only certain people get to voice their opinions on players but the manager who manages them cannot respond publicly in their defence, yeah right Awaywego whatever.

With that kind of negativity IFA Butler won’t be wanting you coming to the Attis if you do a UK trip anytime soon.
Yeah stay behind your keyboard you saddo, lol.
Isn’t AB simply giving his opinion on their opinions, seems fair to me.

Yeah I’m happy with AB saying what he said and his clarification follow up is fine too. There will always be people with an agenda who look for faults, not saying they want people to fail or anything like that but banging on about negatives be it a certain player or the manager can only be repeated so often before it becomes a distraction too many. There is voicing opinion and voicing it in a certain way particularly if it’s abusive about a player that is counter productive, don’t think you need to be Einstein to work that one out.

Nearly everybody wants patting on the back these days just for doing their job, best to ignore the surveys when they appear.
Well there was more then a shower raining down at Blunder Park last night and as for Man U they were a proper bloody shower, I reckon we’ve all been purged of our fishy odour by now.
it will keep the United fans off here for a day or two, also they will have to concentrate on European glory now, but did they qualify
Aye we didn’t have a contribution from Awaywego last night on this topic, bet he had a great night watching it,lol.
This whole DAZN thing sounds a whole load of pain with very little gain, good luck to those willing to take a punt but I’m glad I’m not that fussed about watching it, home games and away highlights for me, so more a chilled experience.
Well that was so funny on so many counts, congratulations to the Cods but the Mancs, oh dear me they are beyond awful, lol.

Well the Mancs are used to playing in pouring rain so that’s not an excuse they can use. Got to say as much as I want Grimsby to fail in their league games , any team that can beat Man U on the night gets my vote, so funny but there’s a long way to go yet.

Awaywegos once size fits all agenda never has worked TBF but he’ll keep banging on the same old door no doubt.
Two game gap between the Sutton, Halifax fixtures, not all players 100% fit, very hot conditions , lots of reasons why we where unable to press the game when down to 10. A good dogged performance in fairness to the team and an excellent goal scored on the break, defensive errors in their goal but hey it’s 5th tier football not Premier League.
Completely agree he was excellent, it also meant he couldn’t be caught offside which is an annoying side to his game when playing his usual role, Carlton just look along the line more, it’s basic striker stuff.
Regarding Becks flick ons I agree nobody reads them or gets into a position prior to him heading the ball where they give themselves a chance of using it. We have some good movement in the team in certain situations but our lack of movement is so noticeable when Beck is going for a header from our keepers long kick or a centre backs long punt upfield. He’s nowhere near as mobile or effective as Whitehall but we appear to play a game that suits Whitehall better, Beck is like the afterthought we don’t have a plan for which is both puzzling and ridiculous, we need to utilise this guy better when we play him IMO.
Always funny when certain posters get their knickers in a twist when a manager supports his players and calls some criticism out, what did he say, stay behind your keyboard and don’t bother coming to the ground. Bit OTT maybe but he’s passionate about his players and the club and he’s just sticking up for them in his own way, maybe people should chill out a bit more and don’t get so prickly when their criticism gets fired back at them. If people can’t handle it and stay away that’s their choice but it’s a childish response from some on here IMO.

Regarding Whitehall and Beestins injuries AB said on Humberside after the game both should be ok for Saturday and Whitehall almost played yesterday he was that close to being fit.
With Rose going off today with a possible hamstring injury it’s a good job Starbuck is playing well, we don’t want him getting injured or we could be struggling for a right back. I think his confidence has taken a boost and he feels a proper part of the squad now, last season he had a question mark hanging over him, not anymore he looks very comfortable in the team now.
Wasn’t Butlers comments today more about what is said on social media, x or whatever it is, don’t think he was referring to inside the ground but I may have misinterpreted his comments. Didn’t hear anything negative about Maison from the crowd today, general comments were the boy done good.

Proper sterling effort from the boys this afternoon and a thoroughly deserved point under difficult conditions. Don’t know what Horton was thinking, yes their guy made a meal of it but you cannot raise your hands or elbows whatsoever, silly boy but he will learn from it. Starbuck my MOTM and AB got his subs right, there were a lot of tired bodies out there today, good job guys, great battling point.

Becks big chance then!!!
I find this narrative weird, when the facebook group set up several migrated from here and it became the “anti bru” which was a pity ,Jason seems very bitter still as does Vim Fuego .I personally see as many chances to chat and share views with Iron fans we can get is a positive ,sadly they chose to make it about them Vs iron bru, once Hilton came the rhetoric ramped up and the abuse for this site and it’s admin went through the roof and was at times quite scarey .Even Awaywego saw how bad it became .The group admin not only allowed this to fester they ,especially that Tom encouraged it and deleted any comments to the contrary, when questioned about that he said he basically admitted he was deleting stuff he doesn’t agree with.
I’ve a mate who was a big Hilton Cheerleader on SUFG arguing with long term fans(He only started to be interested going to games a few years ago), Criticising Butler etc. However when we got promoted he was straight on the Butler/Harness bandwagon.
He’s now a Reform cheerleader on Facebook so he’s moved on to similar things..
So basically your mate is a populism supporter, yeah quite a lot thinking that way these days. Just an opinion but he might be better thinking through things himself and really looking at all angles before jumping on a bandwagon because others are doing the same thing.
You prepared to give Maison one last go is very noble and generous of you les, more proof for me to say thank goodness AB is manager and you aren’t les. I’m just being an honest ordinary fan here BTW.

Surely a piss poor start doesn’t include the late saves yesterday which a lot of fans are applauding him for? Don’t think you can have it both ways, we win our first three games and late saves by Maison against Tamworth and Sutton have allowed that to happen, always two sides to every story. Yes he’s made mistakes but they haven’t cost us games and yes his saves in two of those three games have enabled us to win, facts are facts, so far the facts support him as doing ok.

Well as AB said at the forum he has lots of advice from people who have lots of different opinions and they are absolutely entitled to them but in the end his opinion is the only one that matters. We shall see what transpires over the season regarding the team and Campbell in particular and what AB makes of it all.
Whilst we are winning or drawing most games and don’t go on a losing run with Maison getting the blame for some vital goals conceded then AB will give the lad every chance and quite right too IMO. He’s only ever going to learn by playing games and gaining experience and if he’s showing some errors then they can be worked on with the coaching staff. It’s not ideal but the budget is what it is and AB has made his choice so we just need to support the lad as much as possible, if changes in the future need to be made then AB will implement them if he deems it necessary.
