AB is pretty good with his signings. He really must believe that we can get someone in who can do better.
It does make me feel a tad anxious, though – I must confess.February 6, 2026 at 6:55 pm #315972Dawson, Beck, Brogan, Campbell good signings ??
February 6, 2026 at 6:56 pm #315973We could go 3rd if we win and Carlisle and Forest Green lose on Saturday…
February 6, 2026 at 7:09 pm #315974Your never going to get every signing right, but most thought Dec was one of his better ones.

February 7, 2026 at 9:05 am #316056if the game isnt called off i toyed with the idea of going for 1-1 but decided to stick with my 2-1 loss prediction and possibly even some Boos from the posh seats.

February 7, 2026 at 5:16 pm #316082You’re right les, one shot on target at home not likely to attract the crowds.
Good job we:-
Made it count

February 7, 2026 at 5:42 pm #316083Was it a pen to them? Obscured view in Mortz. I thought new lad had some deft touches. At least we woke up second half and got stuck in. Quite why we persisted playing it down the left flank to Hurst for so long was baffling. Clear as day Hurst was going nowhere.
February 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm #316084Highlights will be interesting.
Odd occasion where subs improved thingsFebruary 7, 2026 at 6:21 pm #316086The result shows that you won 1-0 and took the 3 points. On another day, at least one of the two penalties would have been awarded, but that’s football sadly. At least Halifax lost, so we’re still sniffing around 7th place. It will be interesting if we meet in the play-offs.
February 7, 2026 at 6:25 pm #316087Don’t know why we go half a game before deciding to play, rubbish first half but much better contest second half. Couple of good saves and catches from Mahady and Evans was excellent but Whitehall and Roberts had good chances to add to the score line. Southend a decent side and nice to see Tom Hopper keeping that number 14 shirt. Yeah we rode our luck at times but big deal it’s all about winning and we did that, thought the new lad on first viewing looks a decent signing, Dec who?
February 7, 2026 at 6:26 pm #316088Rory got MOM but Evan’s should have got it,he was outstanding

February 7, 2026 at 6:26 pm #316089Just seen some photos of one of the supposed pens. Looks like simulation. On another day we’d have scored a couple more of the opportunities created and Southend would have taken their chances better. That’s football indeed.

February 7, 2026 at 7:02 pm #316092Terrible first 45 mins with improvement on 47th. Why can’t we weight passes even the kickoff didn’t make it to the pitch (why always the same play week after week?).
Second half better but still passing and making the right space to receive is Sunday league stuff.
Tense watch but so glad we’re making a habit digging these results out over the 90.February 7, 2026 at 7:56 pm #316094Sadly missed the game today, alternator packed up on Thursday on the car, only 7 months old, so listened on R H, now watching full replay on DAZN, pitch looks a lot worse than last week, I find it hard work listening to home games on Radio but not away, three very welcome points and hopefully will be there next Saturday, sounded like there was some good defensive performances especially Mahardy and Evans, anyway going to enjoy watching this now seeing I know the result
February 7, 2026 at 7:58 pm #316095What does Hurst add that Howe didn’t?

February 8, 2026 at 6:14 am #316104here is another IFA prediction and this one is written in the stars so much so i would bet my grannies mobility scooter on it.
We do the double over Southend in the season and draw them in the playoffs and they beat us … its happened so many times … THE LOTTERY OF THE PLAYOFFS AWAITS.
February 8, 2026 at 7:51 am #316105I think Hurst might find himself on the bench on Tuesday. Has done nothing of note yet and looks incredibly lightweight.

February 8, 2026 at 7:57 am #316106Donny Rovers fans on x stated he had ability but was lightweight when we signed him. Dausch will take his spot. SST, heard anything in regards to more potential incomings ?
February 8, 2026 at 8:10 am #316108Hurst rescued from being the worst Iron player on the pitch by Barrows performance?

February 8, 2026 at 8:21 am #316111The middle of the park and wide players lost most of their battles yesterday, not helped by a lack of availability up front from Danny Fanny

I’d expect it to be Smith not Dausch.
