Narcissists don’t take notice of anyone, the orange faced freak across the pond being the perfect example.

can we risk another James Perch? (or Ian Ormondroyd for those with a longer memory)

But we could do with a Steve Baines for those with a longer, longer memory!

” Basher Baines ” and Les Hunter, a formidable combination back in the John Duncan/ Allan Clarke era. Steve went on to become a pretty decent ref too.

I disagree with NI. It’s longer than 3 years.

Aye les, it started going tits up when we sold Barrie Thomas to Newcastle. 😂

Doubt you will get another RB in WG if there is a ghost of a chance Clark being fit anytime before Xmas, this chairman will wait and wait until Clark is ruled out till after January before he acts and yes I know it will be too late by then but the Prawn won’t have it any other way.

Yes it’s always very contentious to suggest what others may be thinking but I’m gonna say I believe a lot of Iron – bruers will have read BRI’s post and nodded along in agreement. Very well put BRI, nice one.

We all remember how Stephen Dawson got in the refs ear for 90 plus minutes, to say we need that type of player in midfield now is the biggest understatement of the year. 😂

Great move IMO, Junior was excellent last time around for us and more importantly he will bring experience and confidence to a very young raw team. Just need an experienced keeper and McGahey fully fit and the back four may resemble something more appropriate for league two.

Quite ironic in a season where the structure of professional football will probably change forever in this country, we will go down either because of bankruptcy or because we are just not good enough to remain as a league club. Only our fans will remember how poor we were in our final season, everyone other fan will remember how their team went tits up due to Covid and an uncaring mindset within the ” big football family “.

Personally I would give it to Lex Lamb, the telegraph’s chief sports writer.

He seems to have all of the answers…..

But what about WG? The man who knows everything……

You forgot to insert ” thinks he ” between who and knows.

Hope the lad can get his life back on track, he’s got bags of ability but as soon as the charge about assaulting a police officer was made public it was pretty obvious he was toast here. Could take him a while to rebuild his career but I hope with the right help he gets there.

Ha ha maybe Cass maybe, personally I think if Trump loses next month his main priority will be staying out of jail, I think he will be in a lot of trouble if he gets voted out.

….but Cass doesn’t that bring us back around to the same old point, Swann believes he is correct doing it his way, he thinks it will eventually come right doing it his way. It’s a bit like telling Trump not to wear make-up because it makes him look as big a twat as he sounds, these egotistical people just don’t get it because their way is the only way. It’s sad but true, we are shafted.

The difference is that, despite being as you describe, Trump’s ego and tactics won an election, our tactics (whoever is to blame) are winning b….. all!

Fair points Cass but Swann got us promoted once under his Chairmanship and its now gone Pete Tong and Trump is heading for a kicking this time around so I will stick to my original points.

Well a win is a win and these lads can be drafted into the first team as Cox sees fit but it is only an U23 game, Huddersfield may have fielded a bunch of kids today. Still well done guys and a clean sheet plus four goals scored is a great boost for moral.

It’s the Chairman that needs sorting out, all this chopping and changing managers is under his watch and the crap footy since Alexander’s last few month’s in charge has been under his watch. Club is seemingly rotten from the top down.

He isn’t the first player full stop mick not just here. Some high profile players in the past have made national headlines, Merson, Adams, Best etc so it’s the ability to handle the pressure of the professional game at whatever level that is a good point of discussion. I guess some people just can’t hack it for whatever reason but the high profile players tend to get more attention and as a result usually more help. In the case of our man he may get help if he needs it but I will be surprised if he gets kept on if found guilty. Smacking a copper, not a good look on your CV.

Clearly there are some valid points raised about his personal problems and the mental anguish he may be going through as a result and one wonders if maybe being a full time professional footballer is not the best occupation for him. There are a lot of pressures within the game and many have been well documented over recent years, perhaps a part time playing role in non league and a career in coaching might be a less stressful path for him. I know he is still young at 25 but if the pressures are too great and cause his personality to flip now and again maybe he’s better considering his options rather then being full time. Just a theory.

Let’s be honest guys if you are charged with assaulting a policeman what are your chances of being cleared? As Mrs Doubtfire once famously said, ” wake up and smell the coffee dear “.

Well I guess that’s another big wage earner off the books, he won’t come back from this playing for us, not assaulting a policeman. Sad end but he’s obviously got issues that need addressing with him having previous.

Don’t think Hakeeb got over his bad ankle injury that occurred very early in his BCFC career, I know he went on loan to Rotherham at some stage last season but I guess he’s struggling for fitness and form as a result of that injury. Grant and Cliff could well do a very good job with him at Hull, exciting player when fit and on form.

If the government don’t put a rescue package together, which they probably won’t because other businesses will say ” what about us” and quite right too, then it’s over. Sit back and wait for the end for football in this country as we have known it all our lives.
