So what form is the required additional investment likely to take? Will certain board members relinquish shares to people they are sure are like minded?
Can’t trust The Trust to share their vision?

I thought the board were actively seeking new investment. Does that have to be a friend/acquaintance of a couple of them or a pair of chancers?

Ffs all you need to know is what time the KO of the 1st game is so you can decide whether to go or not..You don’t need anything else, some player updates might be good but that’s all you may need.If you have a real life that is.

There’s a big difference between ‘need to know’ and ‘would like to know’. Engagement with fans is crucial, making them feel part of the club. Nobody expects confidentiality to be breached but information on players fitness for example would surely be of more interest than the birthday of players few remember.

Less necessity for a ball winner at the level we are. You just wait until the opposition give it away, we’ve done it loads.

I should make it clear that my views are based on video highlights only from pre-season games.I was impressed by the tempo at which we played at Skeg and passing looked much improved. Not seen enough to rate several but Ewing and Eze look like upgrades. We are told JB has pace which, if true, gives him an edge over Boyce, Evans & Maxi.

Do you think he is anywhere near knowing his 1st XI? Surely the formation must come first to allow you to decide who’s the best option. Unless he’s going to use an old favourite of mine – pick your best 10 outfield players and use a formation that fits them. Highly unlikely. Hardly anybody played a full game yet and numerous systems tried, hopeful that 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 will be his chosen one.

We now have another person appointed vice-president again known to one director.

I’ve seen reference to this elsewhere but nothing official.
    Who is it please?

    Claret-Maroon, different.
Pale Blue-Sky Blue near enough surely?
Shorts with chains on might cause some issues.

Do we know shorts colour? That could make a difference, pale blue would be good. (IMO)

I can cope with “I don’t mind” but “a lot better than the Scunthorpe United kit” is very hard to take.

Some of us think it’s OK, I should point out btw that I last bought a replica shirt in the 80s, I think there’s an age (and girth) to stop, opinions vary on both.

There’s a size guide and an opportunity to try on for size before pre-ordering. Every chance to avoid any dodgy sizing if it exists.

I know you don’t like our new shirt but please tell me you’re joking. I’ll not be able to take you seriously in future, it’s a shocker. Credit to them for committing to wear it for 2 years though, should be more of that. Might make signing players difficult next summer knowing what they’ll be wearing.

I think they’ve done it in a hurry and got it wrong. Be interesting to see the bulk order when it comes. No doubt in my mind that the issue was the negotiating of the front of shirt sponsorship holding up manufacture.

So you buy to satisfy your fashion ideals not to support your club, fair enough.

Well, against popular opinion it seems, I like the shirt design. The quality of material will be a key factor.

The CEO was brought in to take a load off Michelle I believe. I’m not “ITK” so, as an average supporter, I’m still waiting to find out what he’s done to benefit the club. Any offers?

He was genuinely unlucky to have a dreadful side in front of him. That doesn’t make him a bad keeper.

You’re right, a poor defence doesn’t make him a bad keeper. He’s a bad keeper without needing any help from others.

Just seen this from NL Newspaper:-
“Scunthorpe United boss Andy Butler has urged the club’s supporters to harbour realistic expectations ahead of their return to the National League.”

I think his latest signing has ensured that nobodys expectations will be over ambitious!
