A “multi millionaire” who can’t/won’t pay his debts?
    A “mug punter”
    A failed football club owner.
The owner of an unbuilt hotel.
Crikey he’s an unlucky bloke isn’t he? Or maybe it isn’t bad luck?

Andy lives up to the Yorkshire stereotype. A Yorkshireman is never wrong.

If he was a Yorkshire stereotype he wouldn’t need a budget, they don’t like spending money. (Allegedly)

    Jimmy – failure
    Andy – success
    What more do you need?

No video on the SUFC website from Butler yet explaining why we were so poor Saturday especially against a side 4th from bottom

Interview with Ollie Turner on RH.
“We created probably 20 chances, enough to win 5 games”
    “The players gave everything”
I’ve no argument with either of those statements and, if they are accepted as true, then I come to a simple conclusion:- Some of those players are not good enough for this level.

“I’d rather he was constructive and uses the damage limitation language he does, than throw the players under the bus just so six fans can applaud him for using the word “poor”.

Admitting that a poor performance was poor is hardly throwing players under the bus is it? It shows he is living in the real world and watching the same game as the rest of us.

However we were shockingly bad at Solihull last week and were lucky to escape with a point against a very poor team yesterday.
If you can’t handle a bit of criticism with good grace when your team plays poorly it might not be the career for you.

I think his problem might be how he sees a performance. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him use the word poor even though fans can see that it is.
“Need to be sharper in both boxes”
“Need to be better through the thirds”
    “We weren’t really on it”
But never poor. Nobody wants to see a team b********g in the middle of the pitch but players need to be left in no doubt that what we are currently watching is totally unacceptable before the fans do the talking and walk.

    He’s what we’ve got – support him.
Would Watsons distribution have been better?
Would Watson have saved that penalty?
We’ll never know, as I said, he’s what we’ve got.

Following on from MKI’s post I also think that some of the “important” players have lately been performing way below what we know they are capable of.(No names but they and we know who they are) Could it be a little bit of complacency? “I’ll be in next week anyway”

So who suggested that Mahady’s distribution was better?

Saving them for the next game when the game in progress is “won”? (IHO)
I wonder if some of the players are not 100%, but start with the hope that they can last an hour and have the game won. Butler wants his subs to make an impact, today we had Scales, Howe, Dawson & Rose – did they? Did they ****!! The only thing of note was Howe’s failure to put the game to bed.

Why is nobody worried about the poor performances since Watson left, this new guy’s supposed better distribution is a fallacy,

The performances have been poor, the keepers performances have not. I don’t recall seeing any comments re comparitive distribution, are you just poking the hornets nest?

Starbuck JB Horton & Denton is a decent back 4, problems might be at the other end.

Oli Rose, Oli Ewing & Ross Barrows were fit enough to attend the “Reading Stars” launch. Don’t know if they did 90 minutes.

It seems they are using him “properly” – we would need to use him “differently.”
Good idea but doubt they could afford his wages, rest of season loan with them paying part of his wages might work for everybody.

Yes, but he said last week that he’d be OK for Solihull.
Is Rose still alive? Never mentioned recently.

Pedestrian from the start, apart from 15-20 minutes at the start of the second half.
It would seem the squad is not as strong as AB thinks.
Sadly Carlton has found his level in NLN, Chadwick and Eze are still looking for theirs but it isn’t NL. Would have preferred to see Brogan in front of both. Whitehall seems to have lost interest, is he 100%?
A pattern in recent weeks and hitting the target again a problem, how many saves did their keeper make? Let’s hope this proves to be a badly needed wake up call, I reckon we were lucky it wasn’t 6-0 ( 8-0 if they’d got 2 pens which looked possible) Desperately disappointing and not what the travelling fans deserved.

Too many quality players missing. Replacements OK (mainly) but each one a slight step down so, cumulatively, there’s cause for concern I think.

They’ve lost their last 3 on the bounce.
I’m going to optimistically revise my score prediction and go for a convincing win to cement our promotion challenge.
    Moors 1-3 Iron

Where are you looking Rene? They’ve won their last 2 and 3 of the last 4.

I remeber a kid (Italian I think) from Cardiff who looked like he’d never played football before.
Also Richard Hodgson (IIRC) signed by Brian Laws, subbed at HT and never seen again.

this grinding out results and playing badly and winning warbling is getting a bit tiresome .. reality is we are not playing as well as we were earlier, the football is less fluid and been lucky to sneak a win ALA Aldershot and more.

Do you remember last season when we had a ‘blip’ and went 8 or so games without a win? (Aged memory, might not be quite accurate) Maybe this is this seasons ‘blip’, only this time we’re managing to win a few.
However it’s fair to say, I think, that we should be hitting the target much more often than we are recently.

Still rate him. (More than Butler obviously, shame he’s not had more opportunities)
