I’m just hoping the manager doesn’t think a point will be a good result and sets out to get one. It seldom works for us. I agree fitness/fatigue is likely to be a major problem.

I see Cordner made his debut last night in a defence that let in 3 playing a team below us. Lost 3 in a row at home so recent recovery stalled.
What chance of keeping him do we think? Should those responsible already be working on a new, longer contract before other clubs recognise that he’s much better than L2. Get it done!!
Was he quoting McAtee using the Royal we?
Meat Loaf would be proud Cliff!
Fair shout, do you want a 8/10 giving 50% or a 6/10 giving 100%? Only the manager(s) will have an idea how much each will give, I hope they do anyway.
The names I mentioned had these 3 things in common:-
Their age – approx
Their position – CF
Their ability – long gone
Does Beagrie fit all those criteria? Does Porter?Iwelumo, Horsfield, Johnson, Ormondroyd. No lessons learnt?
Did you miss Crawley selling Max Watters for about £1m? Geography could also have been a factor for the player. Don’t think it’s fair to blame him this time but don’t let that stop you.

Cox has first hand knowledge of his weaknesses, I would expect them to be exploited.

“Cass, Why do you think that these two had good games ??,”I don’t think a keeper can do any more than keep a clean sheet and he was more mobile in his area. I continue to blame the coach for a succession of GKs that stay on their line.
Loft gave his usual 100% effort and benefitted from closer support which improved his game. He scored and provided a perfect assist for Eisa’s second, if he does that every game the opposition will have to score 3 to win.
They’re not your cup of tea I know, but don’t let previous poor efforts prevent you recognising a decent performance when it happens.
(It does need to happen more regularly though!)1 user thanked author for this post.
If that was a reason for not giving a penalty there would hardly be any in the Premiership! How many times have you heard “….. drew the foul” on a commentary?
Is that the same Pollock that is being watched by Prem. clubs?
Howard and Loft must have won over one or two posters today but they might need to do it again on Tuesday just to be sure.
There are some really poor teams in this league and, sadly most of them have beaten us. Today showed how to avoid future embarrassment.

Think NI is right, looks like 4-1-4-1. Hope we’re both wrong. UTI.
Thanks SST – is that supposed to cheer us up?

Cheers Kenny. Not the first team though?
McAtee dead leg Cliff (how do they know?) No Loft surely means we will have to try and pass the ball for a change.
Green and Gilliead on the right, Eisa and Hippo on the left with the players from both sides alternating centrally could baffle the fishy CBs. L2 CBs not noted for their pace and agility so it might work.
(The downside is it could also confuse our players)Mooney played for the U23s this week, has his loan finished?
Regarding the questioning, do you think it possible that, prior to broadcast, the boys went through the questions they had ready and Mr Swann selected the questions they could ask and to which he could give a vague non-answer?

On the bench to keep the opposition guessing – Fair enough.
Any minutes at all on the pitch – Definitely not!!1 up top at home in a derby game would be a criminal offence and contract termination has to follow.
Not if that’s what the man who picks the team decides.
No – he won’t be fit for a few weeks yet says Mr S.
If only he could play that team cass.
With only 2 or 3 changes he could, the only major weakening would be the loss of KVV. It’s more about the set up and motivation bit really. O’Malley for Brown and Onariase for McGahey shouldn’t be a problem.
That, I believe, is why the manager is subject to so much criticism. We DO have the players, they are just being managed and used badly and, I suspect, against their inclinations and wishes. Does anybody really think that:-
Howard
Clarke McGahey Taft Brown
Gilliead Beestin Karacan Eisa
KVV McAtee
suitably set up and motivated would not comfortably compete at the right end of L2.
(To deflect abuse I’ve gone for experience, being happy to have Rowe, Onariase, Bedeau, O’Malley, Spence and Green to call on and develop.)Northumbiron wrote:-
“Didn’t he say that all the games in the division had been poor this season?”Well all the ones involving us have been, I wonder how many other L2 games he’s seen?
I believe there are rules preventing owners of football clubs also managing the club, can anybody confirm this?
Poor reward for signing a new contract isn’t it.
When people think they’re getting poor value for a tenner I suspect paying several times that for a trip to GP will mean you’re not alone in that.
