SST if you’re reading this thread, please ban this Maximus idiot. All he’s doing is ruining this forum for everybody else.

Yes Deerey that may be the case but when you get countless morons appear on bru as new accounts who just love to shit stir, gossip and cause division it kind of makes rational conversations a little challenging.
I’ve seen the same happen on twitter too but on a much larger scale.

That “titty” poster is probably you Maximus under a different posting name…no doubt like your account on bru will be a different to who you really are.
I can tell you just love to stir the pot, no doubt you find it amusing but for your amusement you’re causing division.
You’re the one trying to hype up the current situation. All you’re doing is scare mongering. Calm down, wait for May 24th and see if the deal goes through.
All this wild speculation isn’t doing anybody any good.
Just clicked on the link of the Hilton Google Document on fishy and what a load of old tosh.
I don’t know who’s behind this but they need to seriously get a grip of themselves, it’s getting a bit silly now.
Whatever crap is going to crop up next, claims of him funding the Russians in the Ukraine War, Killing Santa Claus?
What worries me are new accounts been created on Twitter claiming to be Hilton’s pals who have decided to get on at our fans and even get to the point of offering to dish out “slaps”
I don’t for one minute think they’re even mates of Hilton. I suspect it’s just people looking to cause trouble and division. I don’t know what group of people are behind this, whether it be Grimbsy fans up to no good or disgruntled Bury fans but they clearly need help.

These new characters that have joined bru in recent times bare the hallmark of Badapple.
Oh no not David O’Leary checking into Forest Pines again
No. O’Leary has had numerous chances to manage the might iron and has turned us down. I think it’s time we moved on. O’Leary isn’t worthy !
Awaywego, a lot of the crap he received on twitter was from newly created accounts and I don’t even think they were actually Scunny fans. Now whether they were trouble causing arse hole from Grimsby or disgruntled Bury fans I’m not sure but don’t think they were scunny fans.
I noticed as soon as Hilton went off twitter a lot of the accounts which were newly created all magically disappeared, never to be seen again.
All seemed a bit suspect. I smelt a rat or shall I say many rats but whoever they were completed their goal and caused unrest due to Hilton not frequenting twitter anymore so I hope they’re happy with themselves.
You tell me then WG what’s he getting back in return for his money up to now? All I can see is a load of grief I’d much rather he be happy because I know I wouldn’t be with how things are panning out, to have this much negativity on social media and the car incident after 3 months would you honestly want to stick around even if it means Swanny back at the helm for a bit longer, I’d certainly tar you, your sack Dean stance totally out of order yes he’s shite at the moment but at least give him a fair crack of the whip.
On the flip side of that fans “including myself” are hurting, it’s just you get idiots which display it in unsavoury ways but you get that at every club.
In a perfect world he would come here save the club and everything will be ok but the worlds not perfect, including the world of football. I keep saying this but the healing process starts with the full transfer from Swann over to Hilton because then we can all collectively move forward.
I can’t thank Hilton enough for stopping the club completely folding but until the deal is fully completed he hasn’t fully saved everything because as it stands Swann is still in the background like a bad smell. Technically he still owns the assets so there’s no way we were ever going to fully be on board with Hilton until the deal actually gets completed.
All rides on that so I just hope it goes through by May 24th, we clear the decks of uncommitted waster players and get in fresh players who actually want to progress with us. We can all then pull in the same direction without Swann looming over us and a fresh new playing squad.
I know Hilton’s made mistakes but I do actually believe in time that he’ll come good. People will have to be patient though as clearly there’s no quick fix. There is no doubting he’s done a fantastic job at Ilkeston. I saw a picture of their training facilities on line a short while go and their outstanding.
Hilton had that all built and restructured the club from the ground up and they seem to love him from that end so he must have done something right.

From what Dean has said about the next players coming in is that they will 100% be a groups pick between Mussy, Himself, Plummer and Turnbull and Dean will have the final say which is what it should be like at all clubs.
Whether this makes a difference or not we’ll have to see.
Trust you awaywego. If the abuse is to believed that was shouted at Hilton’s car post match then shame on the fans as that’s out of order. You can not simply tar everybody with the same brush. I know that’s what you like to do but that’s more than a tad unfair.
Until the deal for the club to completely goes through fans will still be worried about our future and naturally won’t really fully trust or believe in Hilton. That’s understandable after what we’ve had with Swann.
The healing process for this club will naturally take time.

According to twitter Cox the other day said in so many words that the signings which came in with Hilton’s arrival weren’t Deans for the most part and Hilton signed off on them. If that’s actually true I shouldn’t have thought Dean would have had much of a say.
I don’t know how true that is so I’m not even trying to confirm this but it’s certainly an interesting claim.
Sembie Ferris was on odd one though who came with Dean as he was only signed until the end of the season !
The sticking point will be if the sale of the club goes through and Swann is well and truly kicked into the long grass. Only then a new start can become a reality.
Now if that doesn’t happen and Swann’s still the owner of the clubs assets it will cause an awful lost of angst among the fans and I really wouldn’t want to be in Hilton’s position. Until that goes through nobody will fully trust and believe in him.
Whether we like it or not Dean will get a full summers recruit to have a complete rebuild. I can’t see him lasting very long though if we don’t get off to a good start because Hilton despite still backing him is a little dubious already and has said himself the jury is well and truly out.
People can say what they like and use every excuse in the book but since Dean came in for Nelson we’ve gone downhill ever since. I thought Nelson came up with a system and had us playing really good football and then Dean came in and all went to shit for the most part.

May24th is the deadline so don’t expect anything right now.
Dean said a week or so ago that we’ve activated the additional year on Shrimpton’s deal and that we’ve offered Pugh a 1yr contract with another year in the clubs favour.
Robertson, Poulter, Sellers-flemming and Nat Wallace have been offered deals. Carver, Boyce, Butterfield, Ogle, Chapman and Elliot are still under contract.
Butterfield and Ogle will probably get offers from national league clubs so can’t see them staying. I don’t think Boyce will be here either because Dean in the interview from a week or so ago said we’ll be after players who have experience but who are at the right age, who have good energy and plenty of running in them.
Dean came across as he didn’t want old players. Dean made a comment suggesting we had too many older players who have had good careers but who haven’t got much left and said we’re to take a completely different route to the transfer market next season.
Harvey Cribb is on trial at Hull City and clubs are looking at Owen Foster so doubt he’ll be here either but if/when those two leave we’ll get fee’s. Dean was of the opinion Foster will probably end up going.
I would sign Sembie Ferris up for another contract because least he looks like he has some ability. I would keep Sean Shields around if and if he proves his fitness moving into next season and I would maybe give him a 1yr deal. O’Malley I would keep around but don’t think Dean rates him so can’t see him staying.
I would keep Moore-Billam and Gallimore because I think the pair of them have something to offer.
Richards Everton would be a good player to still have for next season but can’t see him wanting to play that low. Beestin is an interesting one, would you keep him and would that level even suit him ?
Everybody else can go for me though.
Feeney has had it, same as Daniel. Rance is a sick note. Hallam is injured again, surprise surprise. Taft can piss off. Ethan Young can move on. I’m mostly interested in keeping the talented youngsters here with Sembie Ferris.

You need help.
Wilson to me looks like his agent has been in his ear and his mind is already at another club. Carver at that level will score at that level and has done in the past, he’s limited but with decent service and a good pre season where he’s actually fit he’ll be fine.
Elliot tried his best and despite nothing really coming off he got his goal at the end. Elliot looked way more comfortable up top than out wide. I should imagine he’ll score shite loads next season if he’s played up front and he stays fit.
Shrimpton was a loose cannon but at least he cared enough to even play angry. A lot of them can’t be arsed at all.
“I think we could do a hell of a lot worse then him and plus he’s versatile as he can play in CM at a push too.”
No he can’t, he was abysmal when he played there – square pegs!!
That’s funny because he was solid there when we played Halifax away and won earlier in the season. O’Malley was part of a central midfield 3 though.
Never know O’Malley could buck the trend !. You would have thought he’d have enough ability to convert positions at NLN level.
Why are we blaming the messenger?
If Hilton completes the purchase by May 24th then all this armchair detective work is rendered pointless.
I always liked Moore-Billam. Poulter, Nat Wallace, Sellers Flemming and Robertson from the youths are being offered contracts for next season so you can expect those 4 to play some part.
I don’t see the point in starting Leake at LB either, may as well start O’Malley and see if he can impress for next season. Leake will be on his way back to Hull.
I saw about that on twitter last week or maybe even the week before. Botham and Jacklin got the push. I can’t say I’m surprised because what did they even do for the club anyway ?
Botham’s got enough on his plate anyway trying to flog those vibrating circular discs which are supposed to improve blood circulation. I read on line 3 or 4 weeks back that since he’s appeared in that advert he’s viewed now as a sex symbol, apparently he’s “swimmin in women”.
Botham’s quite the cat magnet these days.
Stephen Dawson was another midfield general but it’s a shame he picked up so many niggling injuries.
Some of the decent and flourishing sides I’ve seen have a good balance and mix of big solid central defenders, full backs with pace / good crossing, one midfield general and skillful attacking midfielders / striker goal machines to complement. Plus a commanding experienced keeper
That sounds like every requirement needed for every level of football. Going by that we don’t need much then, do we ?

Bystander give it a rest you’re a quid shop, glue sniffing version of Miss Marple.

145% wages-to-turnover.
I’ll go with this. Absolutely ridiculous and is clearly no way to run a club. To try and offset the careless spending “which came too late anyway” asset stripped the clubs players and replaced players with cheaper and cheaper versions season in season out.
I suspect that may have something to do with our demise.
Wait until May24th and see if the deal has completed and changed hands over from Swann because if that happens all this speculation will prove to be pointless.
Nobody is ignoring anything. Wait until the deadline comes and see if it fully goes through, then by all means it if doesn’t and something doesn’t seem right then you’re more than welcome to resume your silly investigation into Hilton.
Until then give him the benefit of the doubt, he’s earned that much for saving the club from going bust.
he was never a left back IMO but he could slot into left midfield and be a temp left back in an emergency
Said the same for years. Look at what he’s good at and what he’s not good at his strengths lines up more with a winger.
Good going forward
Fantastic delivery into the box from crosses and deadball deliveries
Athletic, hard working and gets around the pitchSlack marking
Tends to be Positionally poor e.g Losses his man and get’s dragged out of position
Not the most strongest and can be bullied at timesGood enough defensively though to add cover to a more defensively sound LB. I think he’d flourish on the wing. Another important thing about him is that he doesn’t get injured too often either.
I think we could do a hell of a lot worse then him and plus he’s versatile as he can play in CM at a push too.
Whoever these shit stirring new members are who have joined of late I think we all should ignore them. Wait until May24th and see if the deal has completed and changed hands over from Swann because if that happens all this speculation will prove to be pointless anyway.
I say give him to May24th and see if it all goes through because until that happens everybody tied to this club is somewhat left in limbo. I think for now it’s best to give Hilton the benefit of the doubt.
These silly armchair detective investigations into Hilton are pointless.
What are they actually achieving ?
The sticking point is the deadline on May 24th, if the sale completely goes through and all assets are transferred over we can all begin to move forward and treat it as a fresh start.
That happening will go a long way towards fans fully believing in Hilton.
